I wish the controller was Black because White gets dirty easily
I would love to see some new color ways. There might be some skins available to suffice though.
I have a rubber grip cover with mine that I love, but I know that isn't for everyone.

The modules for the back paddle easily breaks. Ordered a replacement already. I think that's one negative factor

I got the controller about 3 months And it’s really a good controller the only problem with it is that the white back grip was peeeling off and getting these air pockets in them like little bubbles and about two months into it
The dual sense edge controller
Replaceable thumb stick broke so I searched it up on Amazon and it was sold out and there were these knockoff ones and they were like triple the price so I check on GameStop and it was sold out too and now it’s been like 5 6 months and it’s still sold out so now I’m stuck with a broken $300 controller
Sorry to hear this! That’s frustrating, but great things to be aware of. I haven’t had either happen to me but I will keep an eye out for solutions. I seen the stick unit stock issue. Appear many are buying them up and price gauging us in marketplaces. Not sure if production is also an issue w/ these but Sony needs to do something for their actual controller owners to be able to acquire these units first. What have you been using w your controller offline?
Price is the deal breaker for me. That hotswap stick feature should be on every controller regardless of whether the controller is pro or not. It’s the only thing I value on this. Those extra back buttons and customizations mean nothing to me.
Appreciate you sharing your thoughts. Would love to see easily swappable sticks universally! We’ll see what the future holds. Sounds like you may just need a solid standard controller. Maybe a solid hall effect controller that will keep your sticks nice for the long run.
Honestly, you’re asking for too much🤣🤣 they didn’t have to give us haptic feedback and adaptive triggers… it could’ve been another vibration or rumble feature like XBox and past controllers…😂😂😬 this controller gives you damn near hair trigger actuation when tuning the trigger settings… it don’t actuate where you see the shortest trigger’s stop bottoms out, but literally as soon as you pull the trigger… if XBox and Sony GAVE these away with the consoles, there would be no market for pro controllers… this here, is pay to win my friend… and I paid and it pays off😂😂😂😏
@@broadwaybull It’s not too much to ask for more durable sticks on regular controllers. They can keep the hair trigger actuation on the pro controller. Keep that pro controller market going. That’s fine. No one is asking for pro controller features to come with the consoles. Not everyone wants a pro controller but everyone wants more durable sticks.
@@derrickf8053 the sticks are durable… if stick drift is your issue, put your controller away when done gaming… dust collects, dust settles… stick drift. I wash my hands and never eat while gaming… I still have my launch dual sense, I just wanted the edge for all the features that are worth every penny🤷🏽♂️ it comes with the territory of gaming nowadays man. They’re not for everyone, but by the time you buy 3 dual sense controllers because of drift, you could’ve bought one edge and had a better experience… I’ve bought 5 PS4 controllers at $60 a pop, when I seen the edge and swappable modules, I bought 6 modules before I had the controller, and the total was a little less than what I spent for the 5 PS4 controllers… I’ll be using this for a LONG time
@@broadwaybull This is the first time I’ve ever had stick drift and have never had a controller breakdown on me for any console. That’s great that you’re enjoying your Edge but I still think hotswap sticks should be on every controller.
It's a very good controller, but it's certainly not worth 3x the price of a standard DualSense. What really stings is the fact that there's no reason why Sony couldn't implement customisable profiles for the standard controller with remappable buttons and stick curves. They could even take it a step further and link profiles to specific games. Great review though.
I agree, Xbox does the same w the es2 vs standard. I think they know it would decrease the perceived value of these pro controllers and these prices would look even worse to us. It’s also their way to have a leg up and barrier to the competition as many have to do/spend/provide more to allow full remapping and curve adjustments. Interested to see how low this goes for Prime Day and the holidays after being out a year now. Thanks! I appreciate the support!
