How do us Lizzy Fans get through the day , knowing Phil is gone , we spend all night on RUclips . Pure Genius.
chasepool1709 u know that my brother
Hello brother
You know it right brother!
So dam right🤘🤘☘☘🎸
Damn right!
The most underrated band of all time. Their talent had no ceiling.
I understand what you are trying to say but it is not true, Thin Lizzy is not underrated, all the very great players and people who know quality music sate that Phil and the boys were the very best and this is true, completely true and it is a recorded fact
@@jamesbradshaw3389 I think what he is trying to say is, they're not as known as their contemporaries. But I agree with you 100%
Spooky I just posted the exact same words on Waiting for a Alibai...
@@exxie1 Thank you, you are far better with words than Iam .
@@the11metersd.x.channel.55I think that Phil in your corner, keeping a watchful eye over you.
Listen to Thin Lizzy since I was 16'. Now that I'm 57' listen to them today and I always will.
Me, too! I'm 59. Been listening ever since I first heard Jailbreak. Nothing else has come along since to take their place. So talented!!!
@@jjj57563 58 (for a few days more) discovered them thru Jailbreak at about 15.
@@markhunter8554 Cool! Same time as me.
im 65, we in the same boat.
There won' t be another Phil! Another Lizzy...This band is immortal!
won't ever be any genre like it now unfortunately... music has died
I don't always listen to cool fantastic music but when I do I listen to Thin Lizzy.
The most criminally underated and I know the real fans will say we obviously know that. But not enough people know this and you definitely can't argue that they immensely underplayed on radio that's no argument.
Fantastic talent who has been gone for 39 years to the day. 40 365 days from now.
Crying shame, and the epitamy of a Swaggering talented Rock star who if he would have lived could've been already dabbled in electronic music and grunge maybe RnB and a sprinkling of hip hop.
Man could've done anything for the temptation and the years and hellraising and the on off affair with heroin took his Physical appearance and creative juices and his important internal organs along with the many many promises of new original music when on this genious was capable of making along with the concern from his closest circle of friends who were afraid of the inevitable happening to the mans man bar brawling women shagging, Irish practicle joker, legend has it the best in Rock and roll when on. The Erroll Flynn of Rock and Roll
Thin Lizzy --just the best band ever!!!!Bob Dylan said Phil Lynott was a genius and he was correct, Brilliant!!!
Didi he really ?
@@silaslangsyd Yes he said it to Huey Lewis,Huey mentioned this on a documentary
@grahamgray2421 That sounds about right , Huey loved Philip . Great to hear that compliment form Bob . Thanks pal 👍
What a song! I remember crying heartbroken many many years ago listening to this gem. Thin Lizzy were and will always be one of my top five favourite bands.
In Phil we trust!
Biggest loss in musical history. Started listening to Thin Lizzy at 15 and now 58 and listen to them all the time. Greatest band ever!
Same as me. Started at 15,60 now.
Love it, just turned 59 heard them maybe at 10 but got Bad Reputation for my 13th bd... Still i listen to same bands fron 70-80' s.. how's that for quality 😯👍
My God Phil was so gentle, but that voice was a tolling bell from the highest mountain, miss him!
He sounds gentle and kind. I listen to him when I am stressed. Even when he's singing about violence, he's still somehow soothing.
Such a beautiful, heartbreaking song. You ARE the rock and roll hall of fame Thin Lizzy. You are it.
Only thin Lizzy could do these type of gems, beautiful guitars as always,,
I heard them with 15...now i'm 63 years old. The best rockband ever with faboulous members and one of the best drummer of all time and with Philo an incredible head of this band. They helped me through dark times. In that time music had soul. Thank you, Lizzy.
Well safe said.
What a superband... Rest in peace Phill Lynott.
The best hard rock of all time. So many great guitarists (Bell, Moore, Robbo, Scott, Snowy), Brian's precise drumming and Phil of course, just a genius musician and writer.
How can you forget to mention the great John Sykes? I know he joined just before the band came to an end but his playing on thunder and lightning is incredible.
@@Bobsend prob an innocent mistake
@@Bobsend Yeah, you had to be pretty good to make the cut in Thin Lizzy.
Don't forget Midge Ure! 😂🤣
IF Adele or Rhiannon came out with this today it would still be a massive hit ...lizzy didn't get full respect
Sade does a nice cover of "Still in Love With You" from Lizzy's Nightlife album.
Man...just think if he was still alive! The music!!! The music we would have...
What a band, what a poet.
One of the most rocking sad songs produced. Thin Lizzy were masters of emotion.
So true 👍
THIN LIZZY. The Best band to ever touch land!
Irish gold that keeps on giving.
14 years old and lizzy is my fav
tyler burton Good lad :)
Pass it on little bro!
Everybody too
Good man! ✊✊✊✊
13 and the same
More popular and widely known in Today's time-era than they were when still together..that speaks volumes to me.
A never ending legacy.
That is
'Thin Lizzy'
One of Lizzys best songs!!!
Håkan Börjesson The whole Bad Reputation album is awesome
Totally agree and they never played it live not even once 😢
i wouldnt go that far, Whiskey in the jar
Underrated Irish band!
Phil is Dublin’s Lad!
That twin guitar is like an orchestra in full flight
one of the best guitar solos of all time
If you haven't yet, check out Romeo and the Lonely Girl..
Gorham laid down a gem..
@@RSTI191 yeah and if you want to listen to what snowy white did with the band you've got memory pain

"memory pain" thing..
True. Killer gorgeous tone.
The key change at 2:09 is awesome
I'm 53 missed Robertson & Moore but caught Snowy & Sykesy live Lizzy have always been my go to band they were pure class!!!!!
Listened to them constantly for over 40 years & still love them Black Rose my fav album with King Gary!!!
Should I tell you about the total genius of true legends Phil Lynott, Eric Bell & Brian Downey, Brian Robinson, Scott Gorham & All The Boys In Lizzy. Phil the greatest storyteller,Poet, All Out Rocket of a front man.
All the players were brilliant musicians. I am taking bets that Thin Lizzy music will still play and talked about for hundreds of year to come, I am taking on all bets so place your money on the table and let's find out who is going to proven right.
tck roofing - A couple things: It’s Robertson, not Robinson and how the hell are any of us going to know if you’re proven right? How about just digging the music now, while you’re alive (at least from the neck down)?
Hey Lonesome gambler, tck roofing, I ain't takin that bet cause you are right! Tin Lizzy, as the Irish pronounce it, will last forever. Like all true poets Phil died too young. So glad he did what he did. Careful up there, roofing is a young man's game, we all fall
hey so fucking nice that you guys from THIN LIZZY are uploading all these videos. I will love when you release those many, many, many unreleased tracks, demos, studio sessions, outtakes, and rare stuff that we all know is in the vaults somewhere!
I love this song Greetings from Greece
Some of us out in cyberspace were born at a time when Phil and Lizzy were at the peak of their powers, I am now considered an old fart, they were unstoppable , unforgettable , if you got to see them live it was something you never forgot. Followed them for a week along the South Coast of the UK , 5 shows in 5 days.
I wishI could have been there
Fully understand.
I'm jealous mate, that's got to be one of the coolest things that you ever experienced.
Pure song from Phils heart. Brian a master on the drums.
Thin Lizzy IS one of The greatest
God took Phil away from us because He loved him so much, but
"How can we carry on when you are gone my Wilde One "
Thin Lizzy, my hearts band, absolutley most underrated ever...I cannot understand why..why ... listening to their keys each day....got all of their records *
what a great snare sound!
The most underrated band in history.
Every song from Thin Lizzy is to die for, love em for the rest of my life
In the morning of 4th January 2004 standing by Phils grave people from all over the world showed up and told their memories of Phil. Great moment...
You're still refusing to believe in fate or chance. Philip definitely had a Fatalistic Attitude. 🎸🎶💙
Best Line Up ever.
Saw this lineup twice..
Once with Moore
Once with Snowy White.
Robertson lineup was the cat's meow..
@@RSTI191 - Yes! How great is a band that once had Gary Moore (thrice, actually) and once had John Sykes in its ranks and neither is in the classic line-up? Well, that question answers itself as soon as you hear that line-up! Incredible to this day!!
Thank you, Guitar Hero II, for introducing me to this band!
from my fav album Bad Reputation contaims the best drumming done in this world
Me too.
A couple of friends and I had a drink and a chat with Brian Downey in a motel just outside of Leeds, England, thirty-five years ago. Really down-to-earth nice guy, as well as being a great drummer.
Brian Downey is SOOOO UNDERRATED! I agree. He’s a great drummer that plays in a unique way. Love him
@@thomasminarchickjr.7355 Downey has to be the most underrated drummer in Rock history.
@Conor-260 - One of the best rock drummers, for sure and absolutely integral to Thin Lizzy’s sound, style and arrangements. Peace!
Robbo was the man! Wish they’d held together for longer, but glad we got Black Rose.
...Robbo...what a tune..!
OMG this band is so good, back when rock was good.
There are several bands I wish I could have seen live. Thin Lizzy with Phil ranks among the very top.
he is just so beautiful and perfect and i love him so much.
Search for "Wild One" Thin Lizzy , one of their best , and such an underated track
one of my top faves by them
I noticed the similarities to WILD ONE also . The chorus and verse parts are stylistically the same, just diff chords
@@chasepool1709 Wild one 🎶
Another one to add to my “Thin Lizzy songs to learn on bass” list.
I'm thinking the same thing.
What an expressive solo!!!!
Phil lynott will never be forgotten as an Irish man he was the best
Would be Phils birthday today... RIP bro, sad loss to the music world.
love this song the guitars are so subtle, but lethal , the drums and bass perfect and then there is Phil, kicking ass
Yep, Lizzy tends to be badass even in their more quiet moments.
This is the definition of rockstar. God this band is so absolutely spectacular. God bless these guys.
This voice.....wonderful! This expression.....wonderful ❤
So sad, that Phil Lynott is gone....😢
Jesus, these guys wrote some really, really great songs.
What an amazing song
The dynamics in this song reminds me of Wild One.
The classic lineup the last time together... So sad!
so ❤️this band ☝🏻
Great bit of Phil's philosophy we are all someone's servant or in his words "Living someone else's Dream"🙂we all find our own path in life ,picking a good one is the key🤘
How did I miss this?! Super stuff - many thanks for posting...
off the Bad Rep album one of my favourite ever LIZZY tunes
Never tire of listening to this, brilliant song, guitar playing, drumming and one of the best lines, "you don't know now but it's the wrong card you're choosing". Surprised to see Robbo playing on it as I thought he'd left the band during Bad Rep and without his Les Paul too!
If you look they are not the same video there's a clip with his les Paul
Love this song!!!
Lizzy should still be here today making great music 😪
Hall of Fame 2020 Thin lizzy are up! Ive voted. Pls go and vote.
I hadn't realized before that Scott played the opening part of the solo and then Brian played the remainder of it .
Got to shake Brian Downey's hand September 2023 at his London gig with 'live and dangerous '❤
Les meilleurs musiciens du monde sont passés dans ce groupe, miss you all
still my favourite Lizzy song, sheer class.
1st heard “jailbreak” in 74 & neva stopped listening…& @ 69, reckon they’re my favourite band @ still rock my world big time!!! Always
The similarities with "wild one" really stand out for me.
Phil broke the Rules and tore us all apart RIP big man
The greatest rock band ever saw em numerous times knew phil lynott incredible band live sadly missed
...lonesome gambler, that woman will lead to heartbreaks...
Great tune from a great album. Lizzy will always be my favourite.
Best Lizzy line up ever.........
The best line up
The best guitar solo ever.Such flow and rythm
thank you so very much for this..so many memories
Always loved Thin Litzzy from the very beginning
You should hear Thin Lizzy - even better!!
Philip Lynott was a genius for sure pure talent lloved and lived mucho.tops.
A must have album....
Great song by the greatest band!! Opa!
Thin lizzy forever. Great band with that special Phil's voice
Phil's voice IS a presente for allá of us. Grear Thin Lizzy
You got my Tin lizzy! You got my tin LIZZY!You can tell Brian Robertson had a big part at writing the music to this song!
The track was already recorded before he came to the studio and he just had a space left to overdub his solo. This was also true of Killer Without A Cause and Opium Trail, of course! ;)
I have been a follower of the brilliant Thin Lizzy music since I was 2 years old, I would hear this music been played in my house and I never want it to stop, when I went to school and the teachers hear about my favorite music they nearly fell of their chairs they into Mud, Showaddywaddy and Gary Glitter, they could not believe my tastes especially when I told them I also loved Rory Gallagher, To this date i have not changed my music taste
Still refusing to believe in fate or chance. That deck your using is stacked against romance!

Fantastic!
I can't describe it!!
So very great, cant find words to describe
Super!!!
This is gorgeous....
Such a vocal, the best band ever, just my opinon:)
Yeah, Lizzy was the best man. Very unique, got to see a full transformation from their folk/blues all the way to the hard rock/metal. They covered a lot of ground in a short time when you think about it. A lot of bands would have trouble coming up with a few albums in a decade. Lizzy had 12 albums in 12 years. Amazing.
Amazing band. Amazing song.
Other bands have built whole careers on snippets of Thin Lizzy songs.
Tool, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Iron Maiden have probably listened closely tol Phil's genius.
Iron Maiden basically took 3 minutes of Thin Lizzy material and made 50 songs of it ....
A jo moga słuchać tyj muzy do końca świata
I jeden dzień dłużej ♥️🎶🎸
Thanks for the radio play corporate radio
one of my favorites
I love what Brian Downey does to this song. 999 out of 1000 drummers would play this song straight and boring. BD adds a skip that pumps up that bassline and allows those guitars to really jump
Genius drummer! Absolutely integral to Lizzy’s sound, style and arrangements! Brian Downey rules!!!
And he’s still killing it today. Total gentleman as well 🥁
@@crusheverything4449 Yes, the drums add a lot, and everything that Brian plays, absolutely belongs there. People get too caught up in who is the best at this or that, well, ... playing the right parts is part of what makes a great musician, but also playing from the heart like the whole band did. I couldn't imagine different drums on any of the Lizzy songs, Brian nailed it. The songs are fun, deep, and iconic for me.
he's one of those topdrummers should be mentioned long before rush, iron maiden etc..
@@AngryPostmanStockholm when people rave about a certain drummer I always think about how Ive never heard a finished song from anybody where the drums were bad, same with guitar; Ive never heard a song where the guitar playing needed improvement.
