I am one of those whom the word of God drastically changed. I met the Lord in a jail cell, facing 30 years. I should have went to prison, but the judge could so clearly see the change the change that came into my life, that I was shown great mercy, and never went to prison. It's truly remarkable. There are many, many other amazing things that have happened since then, that I have absolutely no doubt by whom these gifts have come. By the way, when I went into the jail, I was a life long militant atheist. God is good and slow to anger. Christ is Lord.
I experienced the same thing about 4 years ago I was supposed to go to prison I pray to God but I will change I still read the Bible I'm still sober God has really changed my life I appreciate the spiritual bread that I eat every morning reading the Bible in the morning is a priority for me it nourishes My soul and Spirit

As an atheist I am often struck by a sense that the Old Testament is full of hate, rejection and retribution (and sanctioned injustice), where the New Testament is more about Love and Compassion and forgiveness. Do you feel that the Old Testament is a perfect book, or do you just feel that way about the New Testament?

That adds to the already impressive manuscript evidence. The great Bruce Metzger, a universally respected linguist and textual critic, calculated that the NT was copied with at least 99.5% accuracy. We are uncertain about the correct reading of less than one half of one percent of the NT, and no doctrine depends on an uncertain verse. Most of the existing textual variants are simply alternate spellings of proper nouns! God not only inspired the text; He also supernaturally preserved it!
One of the things I find odd about the Bible (as a non believer) is that people see the Flood as a good thing. The story of the Exodus and Passover demonstrates that God could be selective in who He had killed so why kill all of mankind except Noah and family, all the animals, and all the plants. it is hard for me to believe that only eight people at the time were innocent. Unfortunately there are some man made additions to our NT. One of which is the story of the adulteress that Jesus supposedly said go and sin no more to. It's not in the original manuscript. Martin Luther added the word alone to the saved by Grace sentence.

That’s a good question, I don’t know the answer but my thoughts on it is that: 1John 4:8. God wants what is good for us and He doesn’t have evil intentions. He can be trusted. 1. God is Spirit John 4:24, and He is everywhere on therefore, where would we point to and say there is God? No image can be formed of Him. 2. He wants a relationship. He is love and He has given us free will. He tests while the devil tempts. He does reveal Himself in various forms. There will be rewards for what one has done. 3. Seeing His visible glory with our sinful state may cause us to fear Him. He had revealed Himself at Mt Sinai and the people were afraid and priests would at times die as they ministered to God because of sin. And glory would drive our attention from knowing Him. But He does reveal Himself the more someone gets close to Him or to those chosen for a special task e.g. Abraham, Moses. 4. He did come as Jesus Christ. It is historically verifiable. He came and died for our sins because He loved us. And God will transform heaven and earth. The earth and heaven as it is will pass away and they will be a better habitation for humans. Right how earth is a battlefield.
Interesting, but as an atheist I was a little confused by the claim about the Bible being made. For example the claim that The Bible is without error. To be without error seems an incredible claim, and certainly implies that it is free of inconsistences or contradictions. Is that the claim? Also the claim of predictions confused me. To be correct, the claim should be based not on any identification that some of the predictions made in the texts did come true, but in a discovery that non of the predictions made prove false. Do you agree?

I would say, if you're going to interview someone you should at least have some challenging questions, and do some research to cut through his answers. Anybody with an ounce of common sense or even a reasonable amount of education could cut across most of the nonsense? this man is coming out with. However, if you just wish to reinforce your own prejudices, fair enough. The Bible is a series of man-made stories, some good some appalling some nonsensical. To link it to any kind of invisible being is just preposterous.
Start with Genesis. The order of creation matches what we know from science today. How could cave men pull this off. In high school we were taught about different creation theories. My tribe said that we came down from heaven ona skin.

It was by apostolic Tradition that the Church (Body of Christ) established by Christ in 33 AD was responsible for which writings were to be included in the list of the Sacred Books. This complete list is called the Canon of Scripture It includes 46 books for the Old Testament. and 27 books for the New Testament. All other Bibles that started to appear during the 16th century are not inspired by the Holy Spirit. and are false.

But the key word in that title is "Only". Will you elaborate on your research please? Are you expecting a rational answer to your eminently rational question? Not a ghost (or "holy ghost?") of a chance. They will say that it is the only holy book because they believe it is and since they say so, lo and verily I say unto thee, it is so.
I am having a problem understanding that in the bible there are people who know 100% that God exists. God tells Peter James and John at the transfiguration " this is my son listen to him" they also met Moses and Elijah- proving the scriptures and seeing that heaven exists 100%. They must have gone and told the disiples its true we are walking the earth with the actual son of God. Jesus tells them they will sit on thrones with him ruling over the 12 tribes of Israel, no ambiguity, no hearsay not an ounce of faith needed absolute proof of the existence of the creator of the universe. They still betray him, deny him, run away like cowards, even after the resurrection most of them disappear never to be heard of again. How difficult is it for ne to believe 2000 years later, stories written decades after the fact, and God who has gone missing since then. I need more than he speaks to my conscience and he lives in my heart, what chance do I have with not one piece if evidence. Creation is not evidence of a personal God. Its only a theory that an all powerful being created the universe. Does not do anything for a belief in a sacrifice that ended with the person that was sacrificed sitting at the right hand of God ruling over the whole universe, I dont understand the sacrifice that was not a sacrifice either. We are all born in sin after Adam and Eve fell for/ decided to choose Evil. God created humans to be like "them" giving you the will to choose right or wrong. That is the fruit of the tree of Knowledge that Adam and Eve ate. Your behaviour follows thought and vice versa, so they then realize they were " naked", they had the "insight" between wrong and right. Before they ate they were in paradise, they were at "rest"...do you get the symbolism and meaning? There is no "secrets" hidden in the Bible, only for those tht are not willing to believe.

I'm agnostic... However, there are questions that I have based on observation. For example, in Africa sickle cell anemia, which was a genetic mutation that made a percentage of Africans immune or less susceptible to malaria, resulted in people who were able to survive. That implies that survival is influenced by the external environment. It is therefore not crazy to deduce that over millions of years, any mutations that were conducive to survival... persisted. A wild cat born with a brown coat of fur and is better able to blend into the grass lands of the savannah is more likely to bear offspring and dominate as a species. As humans we are perhaps prone to think in shorter time frames due to our limited life spans, however, it could be possible that the complexity that we attribute to the belief in a creator/creation is really the result of very small changes that over a time frame that is often beyond our comprehension occur, resulting in outcomes that seem supernatural. One should also consider that perhaps both creation and evolution are both elements that have lead to the creation as we know it today. A watchmaker does not maunally adjust a watch to ensure that it displays the correct time. The mechanisms are designed to work accurately and independently. I don't see why both views can't be seen as valid... For example, the creation story in the bible may describe events over a much longer timeline, but are condensed into a story that most people can comprehend.

The quran says both the Torah and Gospels are correct and that Allahs word cannot be changed. So the Torah and Gospels are not changed, are correct and say the Quran is wrong.

It’s complete nonsense to say that the bible is inerrant. It’s full of errors and contradictions. Just take the two accounts of Jesus’ birth. The different accounts of the crucifixion. It’s full of supernatural stories that do not have anything to do with the real world.

As an atheist I am often struck by a sense that the Old Testament is full of hate, rejection and retribution (and sanctioned injustice), where the New Testament is more about Love and Compassion and forgiveness.

On the 5th reason, I would say many people have read the Bible and still don’t believe, the only reason that anyone comes to faith of the living God isn’t because they read the Bible it’s because God opened there eyes to the truth.

One of the things I find odd about the Bible (as a non believer) is that people see the Flood as a good thing.

That’s a good question, I don’t know the answer but my thoughts on it is that: 1John 4:8. God wants what is good for us and He doesn’t have evil intentions. He can be trusted.
1. God is Spirit John 4:24, and He is everywhere on therefore, where would we point to and say there is God? No image can be formed of Him.
2. He wants a relationship. He is love and He has given us free will. He tests while the devil tempts. He does reveal Himself in various forms. There will be rewards for what one has done.
3. Seeing His visible glory with our sinful state may cause us to fear Him. He had revealed Himself at Mt Sinai and the people were afraid and priests would at times die as they ministered to God because of sin. And glory would drive our attention from knowing Him. But He does reveal Himself the more someone gets close to Him or to those chosen for a special task e.g. Abraham, Moses.
4. He did come as Jesus Christ. It is historically verifiable. He came and died for our sins because He loved us.
And God will transform heaven and earth. The earth and heaven as it is will pass away and they will be a better habitation for humans. Right how earth is a battlefield.
Let me take you to Job. How did God answer Job when he started with the question why? Read it. Ask yourself, who Am I to qeustion God?
Can I create what He did? Why do you call Him God, if you believe that He owes you anything , if you are entitled?

For example the claim that The Bible is without error. To be without error seems an incredible claim, and certainly implies that it is free of inconsistences or contradictions. Is that the claim?
Also the claim of predictions confused me. To be correct, the claim should be based not on any identification that some of the predictions made in the texts did come true, but in a discovery that non of the predictions made prove false. Do you agree?

I would say, if you're going to interview someone you should at least have some challenging questions, and do some research to cut through his answers. The Host said God made a perfect world, but what did God say? He said after each day, 1 through 6, it is VERY GOOD.
I am having a problem understanding that in the bible there are people who know 100% that God exists. God tells Peter James and John at the transfiguration " this is my son listen to him" they also met Moses and Elijah- proving the scriptures and seeing that heaven exists 100%. They must have gone and told the disiples its true we are walking the earth with the actual son of God. Jesus tells them they will sit on thrones with him ruling over the 12 tribes of Israel, no ambiguity, no hearsay not an ounce of faith needed absolute proof of the existence of the creator of the universe. They still betray him, deny him, run away like cowards, even after the resurrection most of them disappear never to be heard of again. How difficult is it for ne to believe 2000 years later, stories written decades after the fact, and God who has gone missing since then. I need more than he speaks to my conscience and he lives in my heart, what chance do I have with not one piece if evidence. Creation is not evidence of a personal God. Its only a theory that an all powerful being created the universe. Does not do anything for a belief in a sacrifice that ended with the person that was sacrificed sitting at the right hand of God ruling over the whole universe, I dont understand the sacrifice that was not a sacrifice either. We are all born in sin after Adam and Eve fell for/ decided to choose Evil. God created humans to be like "them" giving you the will to choose right or wrong. We see this fulfilled immediately in the verses that follow where he describes what happened during the transfiguration, where some of his disciples are given a glimpse of the glory of God in His kingdom

I'm agnostic... However, there are questions that I have based on observation. For example, in Africa sickle cell anemia, which was a genetic mutation that made a percentage of Africans immune or less susceptible to malaria, resulted in people who were able to survive.
That implies that survival is influenced by the external environment. It is therefore not crazy to deduce that over millions of years, any mutations that were conducive to survival... persisted.

As humans we are perhaps prone to think in shorter time frames due to our limited life spans, however, it could be possible that the complexity that we attribute to the belief in a creator/creation is really the result of very small changes that over a time frame that is often beyond our comprehension occur, resulting in outcomes that seem supernatural.
One should also consider that perhaps both creation and evolution are both elements that have lead to the creation as we know it today. A watchmaker does not maunally adjust a watch to ensure that it displays the correct time. The mechanisms are designed to work accurately and independently. I don't see why both views can't be seen as valid... For example, the creation story in the bible may describe events over a much longer timeline, but are condensed into a story that most people can comprehend.

No book is "holy". Holy is a word used to try to make a book special. Books are just collections of words that have some meaning to certain people.

It’s complete nonsense to say that the bible is inerrant. It’s full of errors and contradictions. Just take the two accounts of Jesus’ birth. The different accounts of the crucifixion. It’s full of supernatural stories that do not have anything to do with the real world.
