Tom, thank you for introducing us to The Three Wise Men.....and for letting them talk. Your interview technique was perfect and the resultant output was priceless.
this Bernie series gets better and better - the icing on the cake would be to see Gordan Murray before they go to auction [never to be repeated so.....]
I spent most of the last day of 2024 and the first day of 2025 watching this Ecclestone video. I was 13 in 1978 when F1 raced at Zandvoort and have been addicted to F1 ever since. I am speechles after seeing these videos. It contributed to my love for F1 with all the technical details, the stories told by Bernie, the history of the cars, the races, the people involved. It is unbelievable how much and for how long Mr. Ecclestone accomplished things. What a rich story this is. Thanks for sharing
Wow, Bruce your memory is amazing and I was totally drawn into this presentation by your detail and humour from your amazing life at Brabham! Tom, superb work and huge thanks
Absolutely amazing to hear from the gents that actually built and maintained these cars! By far, the best F1 related series of uploads Ive ever had the pleasure of watching!
Absolutely outstanding the history and story's of these wonderful men and Mr E. It almost seems criminal to see this collection split up. Thank you Tom for all the videos so far.
The racing history and knowledge those 3 have is second to none. It's great to see the mechanics get some spotlight they are the heartbeat of any racing team.
Great to hear the stories from behind the scenes. So glad Tom is making these videos. Fascinating to hear some of the technical details. Really the man that needs to be interviewed now is Gordan Murray , he was the mastermind behind alot of these cars.
As an engineer myself I find this totally mesmerising ! What an incredible video ❤ THJ I would absolutely love to meet you one day. Thanks for sharing this ❤❤
All the credit to those three gentlemen for preserving maintaining and curating, what is clearly the most incredible collection of Formula One cars on the planet. Really cool that everybody has shared all of this with us. Best of luck in the auction whatever they’re sold for, they’re worth it and then some
What a phenomenal collection of formula 1 history there. The knowledge of those three guys is mind blowing.Watched this video from start too finish.was excellent. Thanks
Brabham team seemed back in the day as the team who had the most fun . Bernie, Gordon Murray , Niki , Nelson , all the mechanics , they were the pirates of F1 . Always enjoyable. Thank you very much for the video.
1984 I was in the grandstands at Brandshatch for the British Grand Prix as a lad of 20. I would have a stop watch and try to record as many quali laps as possible. My team at the time was Brabham, and Nelson was my man. At the time of the 1.5 ltr engines it was reputed that in quali trim them BMW was pushing out 1500 bhp !!!. I watched Nelson leave the pits and head out on his final quali lap, sort of guessing when he would appear again at Hawthorns !!! NOTHING prepared me for what I saw !, Nelson exited Hawthorn Hill and into Hawthorns on FULL chaff leaving 2 black tyre marks on the tarmac as he excerlareted into him pole lap. My hands were shaking so much I could bearly press the stopwatch button. Nelson reappeared at Hawthorns Hill some 1:5 secs later and crossed the line at 1:10.869 setting the pole time for the 1984 British Grand Prix. It was the most amazing moment of my life having seen Nelson set off in his BT53 to set such a stunning latimer.
It’s always the mechanics with the best stories . Before all these types of guys get too old someone needs to go interview ones from all the teams over the different eras . You do a good job JR , it could be something for you to do
Absolutely amazing video Tom thank you for sharing this! The knowledge those 3 guys have is not comparable Really enjoying this series of videos along with the build of the new showroom. Thanks again Darren
Very nice to travel back in time and think about the way they sounded and the way they behaved on the track. To remember Nelson clowning on the pit wall as Patrese passed, or climbing out of the car and sitting on the track with burned feet from that new nose radiator in Canada. Total commitment to drive the 80’s turbo cars. Nothing will ever be like that was again. Brabham was always pushing the limits, and they were also the team that you would want to hang out with if you had the option. Bernie set the tone, lots of personality.
Truly amazing and insightful interview with 3 absolute Gentlemen! Thank you. What a pleasure. Brabham my favourite F1 team, BT52 best F1 car and Nelson Piquet driver.
Mr. Ecclestone thank you for all the best racing I have seen and the moments I shared watching F1 races with my father!!! You have a beautiful collection and thank you mr. Hartley for this excellent video!!! Wish you all the best in 2025!!!!
Brilliant discussion about the history behind these cars . When I was a young boy my first real memories of F1 was Nelson Piquet winning in the Brabham which made me follow F1 . Thanks to you Tom i now know some of the history of these fabulous cars , oh how we hanker after the old days but things move on but not always for the better , a big thanks to these three gentlemen
Fantastic video, thanks for posting. Some great insight to when F1 was in its golden era. As a massive Riccardo Patrese fan, it was great to hear the stories and see some some of his previous cars. Made my Sunday evening!
So great to listen to these F1 heroes …. must have been great to work for Brabham and Bernie. This collection is unique, a special piece of motorsport history and of course F1 royalty. My respect for Bernie and his team.
Glorious cars. Glorious gentlemen. Glorious interview. Glorious presentation. Absolutely epic video. Thank you so much for putting in the effort to create these Tom.
Tom your a making fantastic videos….your skill at listening talking and then putting it across so well is inspiring I can completely understand how you’ve achieved what you have keep them coming !!!
Excellent insight to Bernie's majestic collection. Still maintain that the Brabham BT52 was the most beautiful F1 car since I started watching F1 in '75
Cool to see how Bruce is in great shape for a man in his eighties. It's clear he is a man who likes to chase perfection in his work. Yes indeed Bernie likes the craic , and a bit of trolling too. A good man with numbers !!!
Wouldn't it be fantastic if the entire collection was kept in one piece , and setup like a classic team Lotus , where people buy a car but its managed and maintained by Braham etc mechanics. Mr E , 👍
Tom, you're going to give me a stroke (ha!) every Sunday with more and more stuff coming from Bernie's F1 collection. Nice to see Ray and Ted as I have a chat with both every year I see them at Goodwood. I really hope to have the chance (as Argentinian) to pay a visit to see all related GP cars from our fellow Argentinian heroe drivers. Thanks again.
Great video. Wonderful information and memories from these fantastic chaps and well produced. I'm not criticising, but it's a shame Elio wasn't mentioned when the BT55 was shown. I do understand it would have been a sad memory for the guys though. Anyway, thank you for the tour.
A fantastic video series of a legendary race car collection. Will be interesting to see where all the cars will come to call home. Hopefully not squirreled away in some vault never to see the light of day again.
That's a great video - and three top blokes for sure. One question - I always thought he also had some of the earlier Brabhams? I know he always wanted the unique BT34 for example.
Just incredible. F1 is the lesser for him no longer being involved. As a 5 year old boy, seeing these cars in Adelaide through the 80's was a core memory for me. Also had a couple as Scalextric cars.
This is Really Something It’s Interesting that the One Gents Favorite is the BT52. 1983 was My First Grand Prix at Long Beach. The Sound of that Massive Single Turbo to Me was God Like…All The Turbo Cars They Just Screamed and the Distinction Between the Cosi’s it was Just Glorious.. Brand New Non Ground Effects Designs Two American Drivers that Could Truly Wheel a Car, Cheever in the Renault and Sullivan in the Benetton F1 Glory Days Watson and Lauda Coming from Deep in the Field to Finish 1-2 Just to See and Hear F1 from This Era Modern F1 is So Watered Down Compared to This Era and Cars Like These.. The Drivers As Well.. Like David Hobbs would Say These Drivers had Serious Attachments…
Wow this is brilliant stuff Tom! Your stuff is more and more interesting me with each content highlight. Do you have some of the owners of the cars maybe talking about them like Mason with the BRM. It's not something which maybe often not occurs to people but sometimes wonder quite often in thought what it would actually be if somebody ever pointed the question out?
Wonderful video - I've always felt the BT52 and Ferrari 126C3/C4 were the most beautiful GP cars ever. Wish the boys here could've touched on Elio when talking about the 55.
Tom, thank you for introducing us to The Three Wise Men.....and for letting them talk. Your interview technique was perfect and the resultant output was priceless.
Our pleasure!
this Bernie series gets better and better - the icing on the cake would be to see Gordan Murray before they go to auction [never to be repeated so.....]
Nice to see and hear the original guys talking about the cars, still have it, passion, knowledge and good memories of Bernie.
Couldn't agree more!
I could listen to those chaps for hours.
I could listen to race drivers for about 5 mins...
Another utterly legendary vid, Tom. 👍👍
Incredible series, beautifully shot. Love the laid back pace, gives it an intimacy lacking in so much RUclips content.
These videos have been an utter joy Tom, thank tou for putting the effort in to create these deep dives in a once in a life time opportunity
Hear, hear!

This walk about was like a moment of time-travel. What a collection. What great stories. What great guys. This is an epic series. Thanks Tom 🤝🏻
This was recommended by Chris in the latest salvage rebuilds video and he wasn’t wrong. Best video I’ve seen in a long time 10/10
Three of the most unassuming guys you could imagine and what stories they can(and do) tell
Brabhmam were so lucky to have such men
Absolutely outstanding the history and story's of these wonderful men and Mr E. It almost seems criminal to see this collection split up. Thank you Tom for all the videos so far.
The racing history and knowledge those 3 have is second to none. It's great to see the mechanics get some spotlight they are the heartbeat of any racing team.
This whole series has been excellent but this episode is the best of all. Fantastic to see all of those Brabham's under one roof.👍
Thanks for sharing this ❤❤
I didnt know i need these videos but the content and quality is insane. Please continue doing them!! 10/10
This was absolutely brilliant and its own way quite moving. A sincere thanks to all four of you Gents for sharing this with us.
What a brilliant walk through. So much knowledge
This series has been amazing learning about the cars I remember as a child and teens watching on Wide World of Sports. Fantastic!!
All the credit to those three gentlemen for preserving maintaining and curating, what is clearly the most incredible collection of Formula One cars on the planet. Really cool that everybody has shared all of this with us. Best of luck in the auction whatever they’re sold for, they’re worth it and then some

Excellent insight to Bernie's majestic collection. Still maintain that the Brabham BT52 was the most beautiful F1 car since I started watching F1 in '75
No disrespect to the other films in this series - all v good - but this was the best one. Thanks.
Amazing video thank you for sharing! The part focusing on the BT55 was incredible. Thank you.
Cool to see how Bruce is in great shape for a man in his eighties. It's clear he is a man who likes to chase perfection in his work. Yes indeed Bernie likes the craic , and a bit of trolling too. A good man with numbers !!!
A superb series of videos and the Brabham Boys give an amazing insight into early F1.
That 44B is such an eye-catching, beautiful design.
Really cool to see the seeds of what Murray would make in the MP4/4, in that BT55. Beautiful car.

Fantastic video. Only criticism is that it ended. Could have listened to them all day
How much F1 history can you fit in one building / one collection! 🤯
That was absolutely fantastic. Thanks :)
I love these videos. An automotive history lesson. Thanks, Tom H. Jr (I'm a Tom Jr too)
Glad you like them!
So much to be said how good these guys are.. They have worked so long for the boss so he cannot be bad and equally it says so much about themselves.
Priceless knowledge and experience from these guys, thanks for sharing this information, not just being interested in the sale.
Our pleasure!
Just the sight of these cars sitting motionless on video gets my blood pumping... imagine the feeling of being next to one.

That's a great video - and three top blokes for sure. One question - I always thought he also had some of the earlier Brabhams? I know he always wanted the unique BT34 for example.
