kept telling the coarseplay guys that nobody gave a damn about having the combine drive over to the edge of the field and unload but for some reason that was more important than putting some code from CP in 15 back in to stop equipment from backing across the map or driving off through other fields in an arc. waiting to see if CP actually manages to get their act together and stop what seems to be _intentionally_ causing conflicts with autodrive and other mods.
Skip lines lets you make a wider turn before starting a new row so you don't have to back up at all. You can skip every other row so you can make a wider turn then do then same coming back with the rows you missed. It's much faster.
also is something used with potato and beet harvesters: they harvest onto a future path and then they can make a single pass and unload 5 passes in one go onto trucks
Skip line also is there if you have multiple workers doing the same field, it's actually called striking your land, it helps irl with saving excessive turning stress on toolbars being in the ground such as slurry tankers with incorporation disks and knives, but for the game I would he using it for multiple workers so they don't collide or cross paths can't wait to try this out myself...
I have had two workers work perfect with each other with two different cultivators. I did a comtract amd thought ill send my one to help with the borrowed one. He was doing the up and down first so i set mine on headlands and when they got to each other they were smart enough to see what was left and worked together to get the job done perfect. One size was 4m and the other was the 6.5m one or something like that
I don't see your problem with him comparing it to courseplay, the new helper system is similar, less customization and options yes, but at least for fieldwork it does a fairly similar thing.
I think at this point CP is the standard. Everyone has seen what is possible and how it's implemented. Even though the AI in FS25 is better than past years it's still not up to the standard that we have seen is possible. Also, with everyone seeing CP, it may make it easier to understand by referencing CP.
If you set it to start up/down it does that first and the the headlands. It doesn't just start wherever you are it starts where the up/down would start after the headlands. if you want to start on the outside of the field do headlands first or turn them off
For jobs like seeding, ploughing, cultivating etc, it's common practice to do the middle of the field first. This is because you don't want to be driving on top of the work that you already did.
Ok, that is stupid funny. The "no till" drill that has attached vertical tillage that's only used for fertilization pre-treatment but doesn't have that option in game cannot direct drill.
I see they still have the flashing tree graphics problem...some things never change. I am glad they have this for console players. It is way past time for that. But for me...CP and AD are the only way I play this game. I didn't even use GPS mods or AI workers in FS22. I prefer playing this game on a large scale and more like a manager. To be honest, I probaby wouldn't even play this game without PC mods...at least not very long...maybe 40-50 hours. Where I have almost 3,000 hours in FS22.
You don't understand how the ai worker works. He (according to your settings) starts to do the straight lines in the middle and leaves headlands for last. That is why he starts "in the middle". Hope this helps
Hi Thank you for the invo, and its just as I thought, waste of time playing it until hopefully course play is modded for fs25, as when fs22 came out way too early it had so many updates it was unplayable, and although fs25 looks better it is not by much, so its best left alone for another 2 to 3 months until more important mods come out
You shouldn't compare this to FS22 Course Play, but to the FS22 GPS/Auto Steer mod, as that is what it's based on. Only the FS22 looks to be working better than then baked in version of FS25 by the looks of this video. The FS22 one had way more control over it, and you could adjust the lines on the fly without going through a menu.
its a great help, but its still "farming simulator" not "farm manager simulator" .. for that we still need all these mods.. but nice to have if you are a console player i gues..
The skip line may be so that you can have two workers on the field at the same time doing the same job and not interfere with each other. Don’t know anything about it but just a guess.
No, it's so that the AI worker doesn't need to make a 3 point turn on the headlands. Skipping rows is pretty common in real life. There are many variations of skipping lines, but we do it because it means not needing to do much reversing to line up with the next row.
@@aceplaysgamesnetwork9566 i'll say that he did it with the swath pickup for Harvesters from the Macdon DLC I'm disappointed with balin', wrappin' and contracts, I hate that I can't complete fields to 100% when the contract is 100% done, my OCD is screamin' F.U. Giants
The outer portions of the field, where you drive completely around the field for a designated number of passes. As opposed to the main up/down part of the field.
Headlands, or end rows, depending on who you talk to irl lol, are the outer most rows that correlate with whatever sized toolbar being used such as planters or cultivators, IRL headlands are done last so there is plenty of room for the equipment being used to turn into rows without driving over the freshly seeded, cultivated or fertilized area, so say you have a 10meter wide toolbar, header or planter, there would be at least double that worth in end rows/headlands, because you have to consider length of entire machine with toolbar for space to maneuver...I've done a lot of silage work and what we usually deal with is anywhere between 26 and 48 rows worth of headland/end rows, and oh boy 9 times out of 10 it's a super bumpy ride in corn fields lol sometimes when driving wagons we can't even go over 6mph on those end rows because of the ruts, washout or just plain old rows being so clumpy and deep, we definitely prefer sorghum fields or rye fields lmao...Anywho pretty long description so apologies but hope this helps people better understand what all this headland/endrow stuff means...
@@Snowman-28hr I've been playing and following the Fs series for years. There were high hopes when the trailer for FS22 was last released. Correct. But in real life you can designate baling to someone other than yourself. Using GPS in the game is just a workaround for getting an AI to (somewhat) do the job for you. Granted, it does need some polishing in order to get it to work, but my point is that giving the job to an AI helper isn't exactly a non-realistic approach.
