I have used it with Zetor Crystal HD, and there is noticeable difference in pulling speed between two modes.

Couple of things: 1. You can roll before seeding and it works 2. If you fertilize before seeding you can then immediately put down the 2nd fertilizer after seeding 3. If you turn off 'requires plowing ' then it gives you the credit all the time.
6:20 in fact, stone picker does give a cultivated state. The reason nothing happened here is because it needs a plowed field to work. Practically, if after plowing you have medium or large stones you would use the stone picker (and roller with small stones).
Hey Farmer Cop, love your content (its basically the reason I play Farm Sim)! Small suggestion; An amendment to the chart to show the weed and stone sizes produced by the prep type could be very handy for newer players!
Mulcher note from their website: You can attach a mulcher in front of the tractor, too. Attach a cultivator at the same time in the back, and you can do both steps in one turn!
I hope you dig into stones and how worth it is to collect them. They can be used to produce cement, but no idea how much you need, how many you get from gathering, and all that jazz. I think the dredging ship will eventually be our main source of stones. It seems like it will work like the iron mines in 22, produce a constant amount and dump them on the ground. Edit: I wonder if you can just keep going over the same field with a plow, subsoiler or spader to get stones. Make a pass, pick the stones and repeat. Without planting any crops and waiting. @@chrisjones6002i think, although i have not tested it you need to spade, then do something else to the field like picking the stones before you can spade again. I really enjoy your content, not complaining or anything but I am still lost on the concept of the variety that doesn't seem to really be of a benefit
On the US map: the ai worker struggles to use cultivators, planters and other equipment wider than 15 meters. The ai keep stop working because some obstacle getting in their way like a tree. Or they missed a large spot of the field in the end. Do you have the same experience?
I just got into the Farming Sim franchise and honestly a lot of these words don’t make sense, like what’s the difference between deep and shallow cultivation, why should you use this piece over this piece, is there a video that explains all this from a beginners point of view
As of right now it is really just made for role play I think. Besides having to plow after beets, corn and potatoes. In real life (I am a farmer) here in Idaho we use subsoilers, we call them rippers, they are deep tillage. They break up the compaction layer left behind from excessive truck driving or wet soil conditions during previous cultivation practices. The goal of cultivation is to prepare the next crop for a healthy and effective growing season, while reducing (or increasing depending on the situation) of weed and insect pressures. As far as in the game, both shallow and seed bed cultivation will be good for planting, and plowing or subsoilers must be done after certain crops.
As a newbie, I dont understand why I would ever use anything besides a plow. Its just as fast, gives a plow state, no weeds and only small stones. Why would I bother with anything else? Is it because you would want stubble tillage so you can mulch it? If thats the case, then why not just mulch and then plow?
You are missing a few important things to consider. A plow is only "just as fast" if you have access to unlimited horsepower. You'll be able to run a wider cultivator than plow with the same tractor. More width means less passes, means faster work. No weeds is nice, sure, but a shallow cultivator gives no stones. Weeds are easier to deal with (huge working width even on low end cheap sprayers) than stones. Then you've got direct drill seeders that will let you skip cultivating entirely. Much faster than a plow. If your direct drill also fertilizes, that's another step skipped. You have to deal with weeds of course, but again, that's much quicker than dealing with stones.
The plow is one of the slowest options on the table and in general they’re narrower implements. On small fields you might not see much of a difference but on larger fields that working width can make a difference measured in hours of IRL time to get a field done.
Plows are narrow, require big horsepower and are a weird shape which can be a pain and pull up stones which annoying when you just need a shallow cultivation
this game only came out a few days ago, and I assume you are using the Gov't subsidy addon. I noticed that you had over $79M. But, I do like what you did with the content of this video. It really explains a lot for those out there that may not know what each implement is used for or what it does to the ground.
He needs to have a lot of money so he can do these videos. For example, he was doing a video about raising cows and he needed to buy several sheds so he could demonstrate them. These are not playthroughs.
So, should you plow every season or can you leave it until you get the "Needs Plowing" state? Also worth noting that the PW 100 - 12 plow with the Pacomat pulls up ALL small, medium and large stones, so a picker is a must-have after using it which cultivates the fields, making the $13,000 Pacomat attachment completely useless!
Only plow when you have the ''need plowing state'' almost all the other soil equipment are bigger. I will recommended a cultivator for an other 10% instead of 5% from the weeding removal. And yes, the Pacomat is completely a waste, not only do not have any pro, but also have a con.
Im not sure what it is, but first time i cultivated my land got small stones, next season i got large stones. Added onto that, i plowed the land next to it and got small stones. So i think the size of the stones is reliant on a different factor. Another interesting thing i found is that i plowed, destoned and cultivated and had to destone the field again.
Judging by the chart it seems like the disk is the best option overall. I've decided to keep everything on so it's more challenging, plowing, stones, weeds etc. I hate using plows so I'll use a subsoiler as needed too. I'm going to miss precision farming too, I assumed it was going to be a base game option. I hope it's added as a mod at least.
The last stream I caught from farmer cop. He said that Fs made a deal with big farming industry like John deer and others, and they pitched it and gave the info for it. So that deal was for the previous game. They would have to negotiate it for the new game. That said I hope they do
If you don't roll your field will be stuck in ''need rolling'' and the only way you can remove that state is by rolling your field right after seeding. If don't want to roll, just unselected the ''need rolling'' on your map, otherwise, you will always see that state.
This is great but is there a best order to do them in? New farmer here! Also, just harvested sugar beats, what do I need to do to prepare it for a different crop?
You should only need to cultivate as the bare minimum. Depending upon your settings you might want to plow instead, then lime, remove stones if needed, fertilize etc.
I'm fairly new to these games. But if it needs to be plowed and limed (I think every 3 years). I plow, stonepick, lime, fertilize (so I can see area covered doing it after lime), seed, roll, then fertilize after first growth stage. With that I get decent results
The final chart doesn't show which leave small weeds and which leave medium. In 22 that did matter because most weeders only worked on small weeds so you had to use herbicides which came with a yield hit.
It does technically matter, but most people in FS22 advocated for handling weeds right after seeding, either mechanically or by herbicide, in which case you'd get no yield penalty even with herbicide. Of course that could be annoying as it would be difficult to see what areas you'd covered with a weeder or sprayer as there were no weeds grown yet, but since 25 has GPS for all platforms, there's even less reason to wait for weeds to grow.
@@Slackerdude74 ok, if the first time there was rocks in the ground and just move into the surface... Why there is rocks all the time? Rock don't appear in the ground like that... You have it maybe 2 times on a totally new field you sow for the first time, but that's it.

Even better option I actually only just discovered in my game: one of the implements under the "Weeder" category is actually a hoe, not a weeder. (I think it's like the 3rd in the list?) It's also the only hoe available in game. It performs the same function as a weeder, in that it can remove weeds frrom the field while the crop is in the first growth state, without using chemicals that damage crop yields. However, it has a much faster working speed of 11mph, compared to the 7mph of all the weeders. It's also got a 15m width, which beats or matches all but the largest weeders, AND is the only thing that can remove medium weeds without chemicals. It's now the only tool I'll use for weeds. Spraying herbicide costs money for the chemicals, and IIRC it also harms your yield by a few%. It's faster than any other mechanical weeder, has the same working width as all but the 2-3 largest weeders, for a fraction of the cost. Bonus feature is that you can use that same tool for both weeding and hoeing contracts as well, which can add up the income quite fast. Especially since it's very decent width and amazing speed means you can do the higher paying contracts for the larger fields without much issue.

Bonus feature is that you can use that same tool for both weeding and hoeing contracts as well, which can add up the income quite fast. Especially since it's very decent width and amazing speed means you can do the higher paying contracts for the larger fields without much issue.
I want my bourgault back lol
