Great video. We have this watch and the Tudor GMT in common. And the BLNR is on my radar, but looking to get a couple of other pieces first. I have the steel bracelet for the Seamaster and although I agree with your issues with it, I don’t mind it most of the time. I never thought of getting the rubber bracelet until seeing this video. The deployant clasp is a game changer. Thanks again.

Completely agree about the tang buckle/strap combination. The deployant clasp is far easier to operate, more comfortable to wear and more attractive. There's also no chance of an accidental drop while putting the watch on - I don't think Omega should be selling the watch with the tang buckle and strap.

If you don’t mind a 3rd party bracelet you should try the Forstner Oyster bracelet for the Omega Seamaster 300. I have one on my grey dial Seamaster. Very nice taper. Very similar to Rolex oyster bracelet. Only $185.

Hey, so how did you get to end up with the white dial one. What's your thoughts on the black one since you have or had both. I am stuck between the white and black dial and cant choose lol. Cereamic material and finish on black dial looks really stunning with its reflective gloss, and i am leaning towards the black for that reason. I am a little concerned if i am missing something out here from the white dial. Can you tell me haha what made you move away from black one. I have seen many sell the white to change over to black one but you the first one doing the opposite.

Yeah, I have my blue Seamaster 300M on the OEM blue rubber deployant. Its fantastic. The deployant rubber strap came out late 2020, but couldn't find it on the website. I stumbled across someone mentioning it, called a boutique, and ordered it. Its too bad the watch can't be ordered that way. And the rubber strap that goes with the deployant looks almost exactly like the rubber strap that has the pin and buckle system, but the holes are different.

One of the keepers on the tang buckle strap is molded into the strap itself and is titanium reinforced. Also, the holes in the tang strap are rectangular. Holes in the deployant strap are round and much smaller

Nope! I actually find the thickness and comfort to be the same between the two. I will say it’s a bit harder to adjust the deployant on the fly and sometimes it’s hard to dial in a more perfect fit. Usually it’s a bit tighter or looser for my wrist

There's 2 changes IMO that would make this watch look absolutely perfect!
    1. The helium escape valve needs to emulate what is done in the Planet Ocean models. That is, the helium escape crown is the same as the mainspring crown. The 2 crowns being different looks a little odd. The helium escape valve crown being conical is an unattractive shape, so it needs to be the attractive shape of the mainspring crown. Also, because the helium escape valve doesn't have crown guards, it makes it look more prominent, which is a double whammy, as it's an unattractive shape that sticks out more because of the lack of crown guards. I would not only make the helium escape valve the same shape as the mainspring crown, but a couple of millimetres shorter to offset the prominence it looks without crown guards.
    2. I believe there's an opportunity to make the watch face a little bit cleaner and more attractive. At the 6 o clock position, there's a small luminent marker below the date window, so that at night there's no big gap between the 5 and 7 o clock markers. To me, it looks a little unattractive, clumsy and asymmetrical having a small luminent marker in contrast to all the other same size and larger luminent markers on the rest of the watch face.
I have a suggestion. Make the date window frame thicker and make the frame the luminent marker. It would be then the same size as the other luminent markers and avoid that tiny little marker below the date window that is at odds with all the other luminent markers.

It's new so everybody wants it (now). Will be available more easily in half a year or so.

Hmmm. Not a fan of the deployment clasp. I feel it moves away from the sporty intention of the watch. I think the pin buckle is much nicer and in keeping with the SMPs kick arse/go anywhere/do anything nature. I have the pin buckle rubber strap on my SMP Chronograph (latest iteration, Grey dial). Generally speaking, I think the SMP looks really nice on the rubber. Really highlights the finesse of the watch head and lugs. I’m not sure I’ll ever put the bracelet back on. Maybe in the winter. 👍🏻

Sleek? Don't like the look at all of omega rubber with deployant clasp... Hublot and Bell&ross is so much better.

Should have kept the explorer 2 and add a rubber b strap. Omega smp 300 bezel has no grip and the holo sound is a pass for me. Even Tudor makes better dive bezel than omega.

Omegas 120 click, scalloped, ceramic bezel is a thing of beauty. Refined and eternally beautiful thanks to the ceramic. I love mine. 60 click bezels, like the Tudor are awful. Feels like a Seiko. Defo one thing Tudor could easily rectify, but can’t as they are trying to keep the price down to appeal to the masses in the shopping malls. Rolexes Sub Bezel is the best in the business from a technical/field perspective. Completely agree. Costs money though!

OEM its not for the OE (Original equipment) made for the brands, OEM it’s from others brands.
Example: Cartier Strap OE made by Cartier
Cartier OEM strap made by DELUGS
I saw your vídeo waiting for the OEM BRAND >:( you make me waste minutes of my life for your ignorance

Then we have the AFTERMARKET those are accessories not based on the exact accurate materials or quality.
DELUGS it’s OEM cause on their straps for santos (example) they use the same quick release system as Cartier Does

That Seamaster rubber is absolute trash. 300 bucks for it is shameful on Omega’s part considering it’s the worst kind of Polymer quality they could have used. Seiko with their Silicone and Rolex at least have a relatively good compound in use.
That rubber strap should be worth 5 bucks max. Clasp is alright but the twin triggers on Omega’s just feel low quality in general.

Completely disagree. It’s supple and doesn’t tend to make the wrist sweat in hot weather. It’s been designed extremely well. Much more so than other similar priced rubber straps on the market.
