    Great video, thank you for putting it out there. You did an excellent job articulating the performance figures of SAS, HDD throughput limits, etc. Impressive knowledge of the nuts and bolts of I/O. Thanks again.

    That's an insanely cool JBOD setup!! I just picked up a couple of the white label off-spec drives to start testing them out. The drive prices seem to finally be reasonable again but the JBOD hardware... still up there in price, even for used/old stuff.

    This is on such a higher level than my plotter and I thought I had a pretty good rig.

    Looks cool. way over my head and budget. Still waiting on the video plotting on a sub $100 sas raid 0 for us farmers with humble budgets.

    I want the JBODs you have with zoning. That would be perfect for my multiple plotters.

    What would be sufficient bandwidth for your 90 bay JBOD after you have all the plots made and transferred? Would one link be fast enough, or how much bandwidth should I have per 14TB drive when farming?

    • @JMHands
      @JMHands 2 года назад +1

      Farming takes almost no bandwidth, like 15KB/s per drive. Cascade JBODs is way to go

    damn! can i ask how much did you made right now with chia, and how much did you spend on all the equipment? the AOI was way too long for newbie to enter Chia Valhalla.

      Still diamond hands from mainnet. This last batch of drives was stupid cheap, $10k for 100 drives

      @@JMHands wow about 100for one 14tb that’s good prices. I got my 5 of my 14tb last year about 220 each after tax. What’s the minimum drives we can order? And are y able to share the dealer info? Thanks!

    Hi,Jon, this is Jerry , I rasied one question regarding the 5900X plotting time quite slow in one Chinese Chia Zoom conference to you ,if you still remember ?
    Now I tested the bladebit 2.0 with my old plotting machine of dual E5 2670 V2 with 128 DDR3 1600 RAM & two 980 pro 1T raid 0 ,with 26 mintues of testing time, even much better than my 5900X gaming rig.
    May I know where to post my testing result ? any keybase /reddit/telegram group I could join to share with my testing result ?
