most important in Chia farming (that nobody discuss) is wattage, and costs. There are kids that think there is free energy if you pay 10k $ for PV ROFL I have done few profitability studies, and NO GPU can beat CPU in efficiency & profitability...PERIOD ;-) Any GPU is always 50-500W overhead to same HW used in normal farming. Adding remote compute, efficiency drops. Any extra PC needs at least 50-100W at idle. 10k plots CPU farming @ 300W vs insane 20k GPU farming (same amount of HDDs) @ 500-600W will be never repaid ;-) First rig may be repaid in 5y (assuming no resale of used stuff), while 2nd rig with extra 1000-2000$ GPU. After recent filter change in Chia network, everything got screwed again with compression.

The spreadsheet for the gigahorre v3 compressional plots says a the max farm size @256 Filter is physical petabytes. Does that that mean what gigahorse GUI calls "total raw farm size"? Ir is it the "total farm size effective"? For example lets say I was plotting c31 plots and had a raw farm size with 0.93 Pib using a 4090. Does that mean the effective effective farm size would be 0.93 PiB x 2.63? (ie. 2.44 PiB)

I have tried both hdparm and openSeagate methods with an SSD. The device was compatible with block erase and crypto erase. I started the crypto erase method and checked for the status using the --progress sanitize command. However, I received an output like "sanitize command is not currently in progress. It is either complete or has not been run". Please note that I executed the status checking command within 1 minute of running the sanitize command. Even after that I tried block erase and the output was exactly the same.

Great video... But Linux version 1.0.4, of ff_giga, doesn't work with any Gigahorse plots (I'm using Ubuntu - to ensure compatibility). There is a bug/issue open on the ff_giga_bin github page for this.

Its not prove of space anymore its proof of work !!! you need gpu's to make small compressed plot's a race you can not compeet with you need a 4090 rtx and 128gb ram to make small plots.

I run my chia now for 6 month and i not get any tokens, i google already a lot but not find any information. i have 150 plots mostly pool farming, only some solo. I not understand. I switched from windows to mac in december and my last tokens i get are from this time. do you have a idea why i not get anything anymore? thank you !!!!!!!

I have done exactly that with the huge blockchain file on the chia website and I can't get it to sync. I guess I'll wait another week until my machine syncs on its own. I wish what he showed would work. I've tried everything I can think of. Dealing with a 150GB file isn't the easiest.

i have this ssd that had some problem where it stopped showing up. After a while i was able to make it showing again but the data is just not showing up. The drive is blue in disk management somehow it's like no data is installed at all. Nothing is working i thought maybe if i just deleted everything on it then i could start over again and reinstall the games i had on the ssd. Or should i just admit defeat and that the ssd is broken and i should go get a new one?

Just got a SuperStorage 6048R-E1CR60N with 512gig ram (60 harddisks and jbod connected 60 harddisks i think gigahorse is not working our i need to add a new gpu so i go for bladebit and make 78gig plots

Could you explain the response from 'grep sanicap', was the first response a mistake having missed the '-A 5' or a required step. And how are '-A 5' and '-a 2' determined. Is it just your experience that tells you those are the commands, or is it something in the list you got from a prior command that tells you which action to call? Is '-a 2' always sanitize?
