I agree and I love to hear it...however her kids are very young and most likely aren't old enough to understand the gravity of that choice yet so... 🤷♀️
Owners make assumptions based on RUclips videos which never show the work that needs to go into the birds, they assume their bird will talk and do tricks automatically, then it's, clip the birds wings to make it compliant. When the bird comes not doing the things people see on social media? The parrots either left caged or passed on 😢
That's actually where most behavioural problems come from. We see the same thing with many zoo animals, basically all farm animals, cats and dogs and even horses. The owners (often unknowingly) mistreat them and they don't get their basic needs fulfilled which then results in behavioural problems. Animals in the meat industry are terribly abused and no one seems to came. The turkeys are pecking each other? Let's cut their snoods and beaks! The horse is opening it's mouth? Let's tie it shut with a flash noseband. It doesn't matter that the turkeys are caged together by the hundreds with 24/7 bright lights and nothing to do, absolutely unable to perform normal behaviours. It doesn't matter that the horse is in pain, therefore opening it's mouth. People want quick solutions for THEIR problems, they don't care about the animals. I am glad this bird found a loving home!
@@DatBeautifulNightmare That is exactly the problem. Parrots are very difficult pets, people only see the cute tricks and talking but not about how destructive they are, noisy, moody, need a special diet, etc. They aren´t for everybody.

@@pigeonlove depend. Some birds like paco have no grown up long enough with members of a flock, or maybe they were kicked out, social pariahs are very much a thing in their lives. I had a parrot who was taken young and kept in a cage, never trusted any human before. He didn't much like being outside at first, but slowly it grew on him, but he'd still be scared of other birds and things like that. He has the free will to leave, like Paco, but he chooses this life, and so does Paco. Bird relationships with humans can be just as deep as with their own flock and, the same with any animal. We eventually got another parrot, and boy did she love going outside, talking to other birds and mocking their calls, and messing with her brother. She also could leave whenever she wanted, but she chooses to stay every day, because we are her flock, and she misses us and her brother.

@@lavenderiris9744 I’m speaking in terms of letting them fly wild where it poses a big risk to the parrot’s life and health. That would be devastating and inhumane because it could have been avoided by taking precautions. For those that have the means and desire, an outdoor aviary would enable the parrot to fly while keeping it safe. Not everyone can do that. He gets to live in a wagon in the Forrest. Tell him he is a lucky duck. I'm jealous.
This is so heartwarming I have no words to describe it. I confess I'd be afraid to have such a beak so close to my eyes but it seems he's so in love with that family it'll be alright for them all.
He can enjoy both freedom and protection from the many risks and drawbacks of life in the wild since he'll have all the vet assistance whenever needed, a cozy human home where he won't feel cold or get wet, risk being caught by predators or burned alive in dreadful forest fires, etc, etc.
On top of all these blessings, he'll always have the most precious gift of being truly loved all along.
Thank you so much for sharing this lovely story of a blessed adoption! 🙏🙏🙏
So much happiness he brings in his quietness.
That is the sweetest Amazon I’ve ever seen! Very lucky to have the new life he deserves!
I love his story so much! And the fact that she has plans already for him if he outlives her, they can live a very happy life together!

Such a sweet bond between this lovely lady and Paco. ❤
This is one of the best things I've ever heard. What a loving family can do for a sweet bird who was leading an awful life of imprisonment. Truly blessed by this. May they have many happy years together.
