      Thank u so much... Honestly, I see this and is kind of shit, if we compare with original... But that's something I have, all I do, is not ok, it can be improved... BTW, I'm looking for some help with this project, if you are interested...

    • @aristotelenz4725

      @@ocbarrio I wouldn't say a kind of shit. Obviously, if you compare it with the original one, the differences stand out. But in pespective, the original one probably has been done by a team of profesional people with loads of background on a well-known top soft (I am not say blender isnt) running on powerfull and pricey computers with full time dedication; on the other hand, here you are, a single person (I'm just guessing) using a relatively new node system (still in developement, wich implies a lot of workarounds for a lot of things) on a personal computer stealing time from other activities doing this for the sake of taking the challenge. It's amazing!!!
      As a simple hobbyist, I've been strugling with GeoNodes since it came out, watching tons of tutorials, and I cannot get even close of what you've done here. I don´t know what I could do for helping you, having in mind the differences of levels between you and I, but at least you have my admiration.
      The first time I watched it, my first thoughts were "Damn it, I need a tutorial of this", but later I realized that asking you a tutorial after sooo much work maybe would be kind of selfish from myself. Now I just wish you carry on with the project to see how things like these can be done in blender-GN. Please, KEEP ON IT.

    • @ocbarrio
      @ocbarrio  2 года назад

      @@aristotelenz4725 "Probably"... I think "for sure". You have describe the situation perfectly. Yes, just me trying to learn 3d by my own. And I can go further: I have 3 kids (10, 8 and 1 years old), and I'm alone with them... That being said: WTF!! You are with GN since it came out, and I'm with it just 3 or 4 months... That can't be possible, isn't?
      To be honest, That project is not entirely made with GN... I mean, I don't know if it is possible (yet) to do all that just with GN... Dude, how long could be the nodes tree?? The castles are free 3d models from the net. I just separate the geometry and animate it (Again with both keyframes and GN animation). All objects are showed with GN.
      A tutorial... Well, I'm not going to say that is something I'd never though, but I had (because I'm newbie) like 200 different blender files of this project. When I messed up things, I save that file (named xxx_01, xxx_02, etc) and I open previous file... So it is kind of mess.
      But if you want I can share the blend file with you... I don't know your skills, but when I open examples (downloaded) even being "simple" I get lost...
      Now that you know is not made entirely with GN, do you still think that you would follow a tutorial of it? Still interesting? Because I can do it. I will need time, of course, first to organize all files, to get the right order.
      What do you think?

    • @aristotelenz4725
      @aristotelenz4725 2 года назад

      @@ocbarrio Even doing just the animation is a huge job. I don´t know how complex a node could be. I suppose you always can divide them in subnodes, i mean, a node than manipulates different object that are themselves nodes. Or maybe instancing objet into differents scenes. But I tend to make a mess with my projects and still not organise them in the right way using the asset library. So frequently my computer get sloppy.
      I'd love see the files, but do not spend so many time to organize for me. Maybe you just can record a screen capture explaing how you organise the project, so other user can give you some advise. I'm very noob to procedural shading but there a several great tutorial in YT from user like Default Cube or Ducky 3D o Erindale (this one is just on another level)
      Like other people recomended, you can find a lot of hep in blender comunity o discord channels.
      Anyway, as I said before, a great work for a single busy person. Congrats. If you did this in just seven months, I'm sure you'll improve a lot in the future. People usually start doing the donut, but you made the GOT intro. Crazy 😁

    • @ocbarrio
      @ocbarrio  2 года назад

      @@aristotelenz4725 Seven months??? No... I opened blender for first time seven months ago... I'm with GOT intro since less than a month... I've follow so many tutorials, but always adapting to my "needs", I do not like to repeat.
      Now check how newbie I am: you said "organize using the asset library". What is that? Do you mean Outliner panel or View Layer display mode?
      When you said "my computer get sloppy" do you mean that it freezes, bad OS response, etc? Super newbie: Did you try to clean up the blend file? File-Clean up... When you remove an object, the modifiers etc are being ignored, so the geometry nodes (for example) of the cube that you just removed is still inside the blender file...
      I've uploaded the other learning tests to youtube. That is what I've done this 7 months...
      ruclips.net/video/mXJmYSinSoA/видео.html
      for example...
      Have you got account in blender community or discord channels?

    One apparent difference is the flickering when delicate things move. Not that I know much about 3D, but I have heard a thing called "temporal denoising". Can it be applied to this?

    • @ocbarrio
      @ocbarrio  Год назад

      Yes, Temporal denoising can be applied to any render in Blender (Just need Denoising and Vector passes and a really little python script available on the net). But that requires more time, and since I'm learning and my computer is not newest, I don't see the point of that extra time... Indeed, this render was at 28 samples, so first thing to get more quality was to set samples at least to 200. Then apply Temporal Denoising (which would be not accurate if render has not enough samples)... But thanks for the tip.
