- Which NPC deals the most damage in Terraria?
It's more interesting than you think. A single NPC does three times damage by exploiting a mechanic, after all.

Which NPC deals the most damage in Terraria? - Игры
Note: Theoretically, I could’ve got more damage by putting on Ichor and trying over and over again for the max damage randomization
However 679 is already a decent roll, and I’m not trying over and over til 1.4.4 tMod comes out
Funny consitering 1.4.4 TML beta came out not too long ago.
why no modded npc's
True
@@supershadowevil because they're not part of the vanilla game
@@supershadowevil too many
Prior to the introduction of the princess, the truffle was actually the strongest NPC in the game.
I still think the truffle is the strongest.
Yes
Yes
found you
NPCs don't actually give up when cornered. Their attack cooldown just resets when hey take damage, like some enemies do, such as the Paladin. Thusly, they are just incapable of attacking.
This really screws over caster enemies like tim
Fun fact: the tax collector has the highest reasonable defence in the game at 200 on get fixed boi during day 1 (most would consider above 999 unreasonable) making him the strongest npc, surely the low damage is because of his true defensive power.
Immovable wall
Also for some reason I think I saw tax collector immune to lava probably just a glitch
@@jacobethan6252 I mean, he did come from literally hell
I'd say the Goblin Tinkerer hits the hardest when he charges 40 gold to ruin your sword
Imagine if he used the Coin Gun as a Hardmode weapon
I would say the Guide and the Angler. They both hit the Lava REALLY hard!
Good video! Also fun fact: the npc with the highest defence is the skeleton merchant with all upgrades and post moonlord buffs
Tax collector on day 1 getfixedboi has 200 defense
Always liked the zoologist in invasions since she could hold her own in a doorway
Ah yes, another common Terrastel W
Common snapthorn W
I always wished that there was a better way to take your NPCs to boss fights
Everyone says first, but I’ve never seen someone say “last”
Dryad: You can't even imagine my power....
Now we need an npcs-kill-bosses playthrough :P
Im curious to find out the highest single tick damage of a weapon. not overall dps. just largest no. of damage you can do with one hit. like the Sniper Rifle or something
It depends, if you only allow a single attack sniper rifle might win, however with the right setup you can stack projectiles from multiple attacks and even kill bosses in one tick.
@@Qualicabyss stake launcher against vampire would be better though
Unfortunately for you, someone already broke the damage cap (did so much damage it overflowed the longlong integer and went into negatives, like to -4 million iirc) in one tick and one shot every boss. If you are wondering how - inflatable tube + jousting lances
@@waker_link i was assuming that that would be not included because everyone knows about it and it feels like it would be both expected and boring
@@arcipola1196 another thing mappy did is using pre 1.4.4 terrablade for a solid few seconds, bunching them up with honey turned on and off so that they all hit a target all at once on the same tick. does massive amounts of damage
I clicked on this video thinking it was gonna be a subjective ranking of which npc "hits" the hardest, as in which one is the best
I'm supprised you didn't use any bosses for testing.
Man being in 1.2 mobile and seeing 1.3 NPC’s attack was so cool!
Why? Mobile has been updated to 1.4!
@@firestrike5478 it WAS so cool. In a past tense. They are just reminiscent of how things were, when said attacks were first introduced.
Well, at least I think that what they meant

Dealing with the guides slimy problems when I make a new world makes me want to leap of faith out of the Burj Khalifa
Traveling merchant has left the chat
That outline was the rebellion, I know it…
Pls continue the pillar weapon series
the npcs dont attack when cornered because getting hit resets the attack cooldown
Can we get a video about the slime item drops? I was thinking about how long it would take to craft a slime crown using only random item drops from slime.
probably forever, you can't get a ruby, a necessary item to craft the summoning item.
@@v2sauce well, what about the rest? I know it's not the same, but I still think it would be interesting
It's Calamitas, Brimstone Witch
good video, the 900hz censor annoys me however.
Dude the guide should upgrade to flaming arrows or atleast to a pearl wood bow
i actually didnt know the cyborg uses rocket launcher, grenade launcher and proximity mine launcher-
what texture pack do you use?
Holy
Wooo!! 5 minute club!
I always use NPC for the Old One's Army
You don't know how eeeeeasy has turned since that day and i just have to focus on Betsy
With a few other tricks, this event is always easy for me, and hear me out, i always play in Master Mode
I'm curious to see your whole OOA setup. Recently I just use the hoiked platform trick to keep most enemies at bay.
I save about 1000 etherian mana in a chest and place 100 balistas in the arena then just run as 100 balistas kill betsy really fast
wow
This wouldn't make a difference, but technically The Hungry are apart of the Wall of Flesh which is technically the Guide meaning that the Guide can deal a load of damage in Master Mode when the Wall's health is low
Scie borg
I am cutious how much damage the zoologist deals cause if i remeber correctly she does a lot more damage during a blood moon
I'm here
You can't really say "The highest damage is 679" when you tested it ONCE on THREE subjects
heya terrasteel, when are you gonna do the final 2 pillar weapons?
Sometime between mid february and the second coming of jesus christ
@@Terraw interesting
wait, who’s the Npc at 0:56??
dye collector?
strongest npc = daytime eol 😂
Okay, I'm probably missing something obvious but when you listed the damages, the Dye Trader, Stylist, and Tax Collector didn't have a "~" in front of the numbers. Why is that? I know "~" is used to mean approximately and those three NPCs use melee attacks but I'm not sure how that removes the "~"
they drop weapons upon death and that's the base damage for them, i think.
@@v2sauce Then it should be the painter not dye trader. Terrasteel made a mistake.
@@jacksonpercy8044Dye trader drops exotic scimitar
@@DarkShard5728 Good point. Also I just double checked the weapons and those are way higher than the base stats. The only reason I can think of for the lack of ~ is that they always deal exact damage, which doesn't feel intuitively right.
Didn't gameraiders101 do this?
0:56 ey what is that mod bruh
Hero's mod probably
