  • In our latest video, join us for an exclusive and unforgettable visit to a private durian farm in Teluk Bahang, Penang. Nestled atop a scenic hill, this organic durian farm offered us a unique experience, surrounded by lush greenery and cool temperatures.
    It was a perfect family adventure with just myself, my wife, and our two kids. The farm's owner welcomed us with open arms and introduced us to five exquisite varieties of durians: Tek Thao, Hong Shuijing, Capri, Ang Hae (Red Prawn), and the highly coveted Mao Shan Wang (Musang King). Each variety had its own unique flavor profile, and we savored every bite, with the last three varieties leaving a particularly lasting impression.
    Our kids loved exploring the farm, enjoying the fresh air, and learning about the different durian trees and how the fruits are grown organically. It was a delightful mix of education and indulgence, making it a memorable day for the whole family.
    If you're a durian enthusiast or simply love fresh, flavorful fruit, visiting a durian farm during the season is an experience you won't want to miss. There's nothing quite like tasting durians straight from the source, and this visit was truly special.
    We hope you enjoy watching our durian farm adventure and feel inspired to visit a farm yourself this durian season. Don't forget to subscribe to our channel for more family adventures and delicious food experiences.

    Those red prawn and mao shan wang are very beautiful , bright in color . Quite satisfied to see the quality . Need to drink lots of water, bro . Sometimes people easily get fever or sore throat after eating

      Yes so far these were the best durians I had so far this season, especially the red prawn. So bitter and complex flavours!

    There are nice durian resellers in Singapore who can guarantee quality durians, but you have to pay a premium. It's nice to be able to head straight to the source.

      Actually for Singapore durians, you guys get it under 24 hours! I did talk to one of the farms and they export to Singapore, he said the lorries which transport the durians are faster than express buses! They make sure the durians collected in Penang are zoomed to Singapore as soon as they are loaded. I guess they want to make sure the quality is reflective of the price!

    Looks good! We don't get Capri in Singapore so I am curious how is it like. Have you counted how many durians you had since the season began? I think you had so much that at this stage if you get pricked, you bleed durian!

    • @pishedbloke
      @pishedbloke  2 месяца назад

      They don't ship Capri to Singapore? I didn't know that. Some farmers did tell me Capri isn't as popular because visually it isn't appealing. The fruit is smaller and rounder, and the flesh is an uninteresting pale beige. And yes, I think I have eaten the most durians ever this season!

    Of course, don't blame you in the least bit. That being said, please consider NOT to share any foods when it's location cannot be revealed. I mean it defeats the purpose of sharing good tasting or price worthy foods when you cannot reveal their locations, right? That being said, kudos to your disclaimer early. Your other videos are excellent sharing. Cheers

      There are many plantations at Teluk Bahang, you don't have to go to the same one. Besides, you can just not continue watching if it is not comfortable... there are many others who don't mind or want to know about Teluk Bahang durian farms.

      Yup bro, bring your children for outings more often for there are a lot to learn from Nature. I recalled, a child when asked where does rice grains come from and he answered, the Supermarkets 🤔
      I was 🤤 away seeing you enjoying the Capri. As I've said, if not for its pearly white coloured arils, Capri would've been a Champion too.
      The farm owner has been kind to allow filming thus, no worries about the address etc.
      Thank you for sharing your family weekend outings. You're, indeed a Durian Lover, bro 😎

    • @pishedbloke
      @pishedbloke  2 месяца назад

      @@oneboonkeng1008 Thanks bro, actually after chatting with the owner I found out it isn't easy managing a farm, and how much effort and money they put into it. He recently spent a lot of money on special lighting equipment to reduce pests because he insists on not using those heavy pesticides. Durians are expensive and any losses due to worms and animals could reduce their income drastically.

      I don't think this particular farm does, the owner and his family lives there. I have seen people staying at Bao Sheng which is too expensive for me, but it is a beautiful place. Along the Teluk Bahang Road there are a few glamping spots you may like, such as Boulder Valley (maps.app.goo.gl/ZAKkJZSk1Ad4vS4Z7 ) or you can also look at Karuna Hill (maps.app.goo.gl/he5r799QdZrreT3q6 ) at Balik Pulau which I have been to, it is beautiful.
