I love the part at the end where they always talk him into telling one himself. It's like Lucy and Charlie Brown with the football.
hey robin, I am curious to know if you think they could improve that ending? I just commented above saying the ending was a bit too put on for me, a bit lame compared to the rest of the segment, and so it always loses my laugh when that part starts. It isn't because its a bad idea for a gag ending, i just feel they never have it timed right or maybe don't quite perform it the way it should, to my eye. Maybe even they just need to find one or two other endings to mix it up once in a while? im not sure. so given that is my opinion, im earnestly curious to know if you would have suggestions to improve it for someone like me, without it impeding the enjoyment you get out of that part of the segment.
jubbles23 Agreed, I get the joke, lord knows as an open minded white dude, I've been that guy enough times lol, so I agree it is a great way to end it, but I just don't feel they do it right... I just don't know why it feels wrong, or how they could make it feel right for me. I don't think it's the writing, or concept, but the way it is delivered by seth. i love his work, dont get me wrong, else i wouldn't watch :P but this bits end keeps throwing me, and only right at the end to me it always feels like a forced delivery, and i want to postulate on what could make it better without detracting everyone elses enjoyment of what is clearly a great sketch.

I think the forced delivery at the end is there to show it is all staged. Otherwise some lesbian/black/woman might hate on Seth because they don't get the joke!
I think it's obviously staged to be PC on the one hand but to, at the same time, make fun of people who are excessively PC, and to show what it feels like to be "that guy" Kameron mentioned who is caught in the middle, putting his foot in it but with nothing but the best of intentions.
The narrative is that these people are not above being made fun of, but even with the ok a straight white guy just shouldn't make any jokes at all.

A closer look is my favourite ''serious'' segment. But this is equally my favourite segment and it lightens the mood up after a closer look. I mean it's so well written, yet really over the top in a good way. How could anyone not love this?
