I haven't been watching Brownells videos for a long time but I really like how informative they are and are not too long to where I lose interest. Thank you for your hard work.
The Unity fast risers are great for dots and your holographic. I use the duty RDS and fast mount and it’s the best. I also used the fast riser for the Eotech/Uh-1 holo sights and great with those too
Etched reticle can never die and doesn't need battery for daylight use. But the big reason is that people with astigmatism can adjust the diopter and get a clear dot/chevron instead of seeing a fuzzy, starbursted or even multiple dots on an LED emitter. And a LOT of folks have astigmatism.
a lot of people have astigmatism. i can use a red dot but the dot isn't crisp, its kinda starbursted. prism optics are crystal clear for me though, and they are usually etched into the glass.
great content great review: Honestly I would have been more impressed, if those Unity Mounts were a little more universal for other type red dots, that have picatinny style mounting option. that way you are not forced to buy those very high priced optics if you so choose. I have to say though I really liked those Unity mounts if it were not for what I previously mentioned.
I can understand if a person prefers having their optic higher than normal if that is easier or faster for them. But, for me, I have no problem with a lower optic so, unless there was some true advantage, I'll pass. Too many companies are trying to "create" a need for their products.
The only problems with these HIGH MOUNTS is where your bullet will hit in CQB situations. You have to know where to hold so your bullet hits WHERE YOU WANT IT TO.. Also CHEEK WELD IS PRETTY MUCH OUT THE WINDOW.
This has been an issue as I have a particularly long neck. Would this work for me on my DDPDW with brace? I can’t comfortably get my neck down on my tall irons.
I have neck mobility/ posture issues, and the Unity Fast mount riser has been a game-changer for me, personally. Great product 🤘🏼

No experience with these products, but thank you for showing it to us.

Shout out to all the giraffes out there buying these
For real 😂
They are super nice for use with nvgs
someone doesnt have nvgs
Shout out to all the tactical turtles that don't buy them. :)
@@Croak1 they are great you should try them.
game changer if you're cross-eye dominant
These look awesome!
Forgot to mention the Comp series mounts they rolled out recently. Works on the Comp line, and the SIG Romeo7.
What's the reason someone would choose a 1x prism optic over a red dot?

@@Croak1 shoutout to RDS manufacturers for diagnosing more astigmatism than optometrists
It's usable with no battery power or in case of a failure, and it doesn't "Starburst" if you have an astigmatism

Red dot reticles bloom into a star shape for my eyes. Prism reticle is sharp and refined

They have picatinny mounts for absolute and lower 1/3 optics
Romeo 4/5 series as well as the the Holosun 4/5 series micro series use the T1/2 footprint. They work fine on these mounts.

How is the return to zero with the ADM QD lever? Same pic slot on the receiver for reinstall.
Is this because of the "heads up" training that has been going around? Or mostly for night vision?
Yes
Can the Micro-s mount an aimpoint t2? And since it’s a bit lower than the other mount, does it co-witness at all?

What brace is that
That mount isn't high enough, with no where to stick a cheek I guess it works.
04:01...he said doody!
Still not excited about these. Scalarworks or Reptilia. Fortis has a super forward mounted mount too.
I saw that smirk lmao
Ahy don’t they just hollow it out so we can see our own sights through it 😆
Seems too simple to just use a thumb screw instead of a torx/hex bolt. Instant qd for pennies.

Yeah it should work great for that.
Work on your posture folks.
