Remember everyone, it doesn't matter what magnifier you choose as long as the brand matches your red dot!
Thank you in advance for your assistance in this matter.
This, is a fact.
As a Sig Micro 5x magnifier + EOTech EXPS 3-4 Holo Unity enjoyer, and Vortex 6x magnifier + Sig Romeo8T Unity enjoyer: I am proud to say the only magnifier + red dot that matches is my Holosun 510/512's. :)
Hop finally found a magnifier worthy of his beloved Trijicon SRO…
I specifically mismatch red dots and magnifiers
@@danw1089 your a wild man!
The flip to side base looks very familiar because it's licensed from EOTech. You can see they share patent numbers at 2:57
That PA gen4 is still a dynamite eye box monster. Trijicon magnifier is solid too bad it came with my mro HD. But lord it’s a crystal clear combo
Honestly I wish that there were more 5x ish magnifiers over 3x ones
Same. I don’t like the vortex 6 so I’m getting an eotech 5x
Elcan 1-5 its expensive and big but it does exist
@@dakotamaiden4331do you mean the 1-4? There’s an Elcan Spectre 1-4x and a 1.5-6x. I don’t think they make a 1-5x.
I don't disagree with you. And maybe your wish will be granted.
Minimal eye relief doesn't really lend itself to being put on rifles with more capability at longer distances where more magnification would be more helpful, because recoil.
I thought an EOTech would go well with my thumper AR, until I couldn't see much through it from 5" behind it and I still got hit in the face.
Wish you would talk more about the durability of these magnifiers. Also the mounting systems, whether they can take a unity mount or if they comes with plates for different heights. I agree with Hop cause the Juliet 6 would not line up to my Eotech Exps2. plates made it either too tall or too short. Got a g33 works perfect!
Hes not gonna durability test optics that arent his, get real. If that is what you want, look elsewhere
I sincerely hope you can get your hands on the new PA GLx 6x magnifier. I pre-ordered one from the first batch and was
No G43 micro? I just got mine today and it’s so nice, the glass is gorgeous. Im looking at a G45 but Im not sure over narrower eye box.
Can you do the Vortex micro and PA mag? It would be cool to see those compared to this Trijicon 3x.
We need a Eotech G45 review, the 5x magnifier. The higher flip to side magnifiers seem more relevant in the days of LPVO's. How do I contact you?
Need to do a test of all magnifiers for 2023 Q4. I have a Eotech Xps2-2 on a unity riser on a x95. What should I pair it with. Mount will be a Unity FTC
No issues with mine got it years ago from a buddy for like 150$. Mount hinge started to get some slop over time but it now sits in a Unity mount with no issues
Thanks. We need a G45 Eotech review.
Just bought one from Midway, a blem for decent price.
I did what you're not supposed to do and put it in front of a 1x prism. It does work, but you actually have to zero it also and no clicks makes that difficult.
I also flipped it to the side and at 50y it still seemed zeroed. Took it completely off and put it back and same thing.
Didn't have time to shoot at 100, but will soon to see what happens.
Putting it in front is the same as putting the trybe doublers in front of a scope. No surprise there.
I was thinking about getting the holosun HM3X as my 3x magnifier. I want something with the most eye relief since I've never had one of these before. Which one would you recommend what do you like best?
1. Thank you for this review. I have always wondered about the tridge.
2. How da fuq does Hop get to comment 2 weeks in advance?? 😅
So since I have a holosun scrs rd mrs green dot, I have to use the holosun 3x magnifier that has a crappy warranty?
So I bought PSAs optic and I absolutely hate it. I was hoping for a magnifier that I could just flip without having to worry about the eyebox needing my head to be exactly in a specific spot. Anybody know of any large eyebox magnifiers? I used an LVPO and it was amazing. No guessing just point and shoot
It would have been good to compared the vortex micro.
does the trijicon 3x achieve absolute cowitness with the holosun 510c?
what's the camera set up do you use to film these review?
Where did you get the Burl Background? Is it a veneer?
Looks like same manufacturer as the vortex 3x micro no ?
could you review the bushnell match pro ed please!
Is yours off center to the right? Mine is in the 1/3 right portion of the magnifier
Can we expect a Juliet6 review at some point?
Is a 5x magnifer worth it to shoot up to 300 yards? Trying to decide which mag to go with my Eotech exps2-2 with unity riser and FTC
If you need a 5x mag for 300 yards, you shouldn't be shooting 300 yards
For the love of God why do these things always cost more than a mid LPVO?
There seems to be some acceptable compromises simply because its Trijicon. Fish-eye, and movement in the dipoter would be deal breakers in some instances, but Trijicon did it and charged more for it.
Having a sample size of one is every review, isnt it?
For $40 more than the Trijicon you can get a G33 (without a mount - I have a Unity FTC), and have a great product. Primary Arms use the SAVE12 code . Or spend another $160 to get it with the mount with the code.
The other route is to go with Holosun or the Vortex Micro 3x. My opinion the Vortex 3x is a very good magnifier.
Agreed. Why get this when the Vortex is fantastic for $200 or the EOTech which is much better for a tiny bit more money.
@@GoatDR Not sure about this video. C_Does seems very tolerant of $400 magnifier when usually the shortcoming of this would be deal breakers.
Fish eye -
Adjustments dont detent well
Slop in the dipoter
The Holosun looked better and $200 less but still went Trijicon because of the name and reputation instead of the actual review on hope that the Trijicon would be ok.
So for twice the price go with the higher priced item and hope its better.
I have the G33 and got it less than $400 without a mount because I use the FTC mounts on my magnifiers.
Also the G33 can be had with the mount for $439 as I type this at Eurooptic on sale.
That makes it a no brainer
This look nice, but Vortex micro 3x appear better at lesser cost. Appear someone afraid to offend Trijicon for future pay review.
@@XiaoPP1 I dont even think it looked that nice compared to others. Just my opinion but it says Trijicon so its nice.............I guess
God trijicon makes me sad
No Thermal or Night Vision segment? C, I am dissapoint.
Jokes aside, low light with a magnifier sounds like a recipe for disaster.
Glass clarity (%) * Wavelength(nm) * Objective(mm) / Magnification(x). Obj being limit.
So much math's! Nv soon!
So they made a vortex micro 3x…
My Trijicon 3x magnifier says 'Made in China' on the bottom. And yes I contacted Trijicon to confirm that it wasn't a fake or something. It works just fine but I'm not convinced that it's actually any different than the other Made in China 3x micro magnifiers. The image quality does look noticeably better than the Hm3xT in the video though so maybe I'm wrong.
To me it looks like the Vortex one
This looks so similar to the tacticon Falcon V0.5
Got mine on sale for $250. Opened the box flipped is and saw it said “made in china” and threw up a little in my mouth. Went and got a g33 exps combo later. Not a terrible magnifier but trijicon and China shouldn’t be in the same sentence
Hoping to see it next to the vortex 3x micro.
he already did
@viniciusbergamo9230
He did both. The Vortex was 3 years ago and not as detailed.Wanted to see a comparison and get his opinion on the 2, head to head. Rather than the Holosun and G33, the Vortex seems to be most similar.
Well said!@@Taprack13
@@Taprack13so vortex good to go?
@@SyrupCanuck That's my question.
I hated mine. Kept it but would have preferred a Eotech G33
Does a magnifier clear up the dot if a person has astigmatism?
Short answer-Depends. It can, but it’s no guarantee. It usually works out well for me and my astigmatism, but I’ve heard others complain it gets worse.
If you’re running an EOTech then it’s much less of a problem. I’ve tried Aimpoints and the MRO through magnifiers and always looked like clusters of dots to me. I now actually run the Trijicon 3x with an EOTech and love it.
Yeah, it depends. I have some astigmatism. Eotech dot looks surprisingly good under magnification; usable and not annoying. The dot on my SIG Romeo 5 (great budget dot btw, not hating on It) gets kinda spaghetti-ish under magnification when I stare at it.
@@travisj9307same same
"I guess most companies just find something that works, and use it."
I'm convinced all the rock-in magnifiers are the same OEM. It's probably ALL Chinese as well. Maximum profits that way. Makes me doubt the efficacy of buying an EOTECH magnifier for my EXPS. Would love to have one as the glass quality does seem marginally better than most, but then the Vortex 3X micro is also quite good and MUCH cheaper. You just can't get it in brown (I don't think you can, at least).
Also... I found myself somehow mysteriously unsubscribed from your channel as of this video.
Need a PA comparison
Eh. My Sig Juliet 3 Micro I got for $140 will do just fine. Hate the mount, but whatever. works fine with my EOTech 512.
Sig has an improved flip mount you can get for those.
The Trijicon TXM (three x magnifier)
This looks like its made in the same factory as the Vortex.
but it is vector optics maverick magnifier. i have this Oo
The tacticon falcon 3x model i have is called the chode
Contrary to popular belief, you do have to zero your magnifier. Centering the magnifier initially will get you very close, but you have to fine tune it after. I zero the red dot first at 50 yards and they put the magnifier and zero that.
Great review!
Interesting. Eotech's magnifier manuals say you don't have to zero
@kennykrabss I used to run a 512 with the fixed mount 3x magnifier, can not remember what it was called for the life of me, but when I took it off my point of impact changed from where I had the zero on the 512.
For the first year the Trujicon 3X was made in China and now they’re made in the Philippines.
Good
Is it better now?
$400 fricken magnifier? Holy crap.
It’s the Trijicon tax
Wait till you see the prices of Aimpoint’s 3XMag-1 (not the 3X-C) and 6XMag-1. Both are over $900!
Got one from midway for 350
You’ve gotta do the primary arms 5x micro prism
He already has. ruclips.net/video/m6OQbyi2on4/видео.html
He... just did? Like literally three weeks ago.
I really wish that all these companies would return to the locking ring on the diopter. Really once it's set how many times are you going to change it. All of them wobble. Its crap!!
Trijicon "sigma". Should be it's name
Shilling the LP1? Why?
G43 something
Magnifiers suck.
