Removing the RMR to change the battery and no green dot. Holosun hands-down. My 507C and 509T have thousands of rounds down range and run flawlessly. Thanks for the review.
removing the RMR is a non issue. The dot stays zero'd. its funny people all bitch about this, they then say the Holosun products come pre zeroed to 25 yds out the box. Mr RMR has been used in training in both dusty and rainy conditions. I’ve not noticed any fisheye effect and the battery life is crazy good (tad over `3 years) and it has never failed. I’ve noticed no loss of zero when changing the battery and putting it back on the same pistol. That all said, thanks for a great review. I’ll be sticking with trijicon sights.
Holosun shake-awake is the most important feature for me, followed by the battery fail-safe. I don't like relying on the "keep it on and change the batteries on my birthday" method. Trijicon needs to up their game, this isn't 2010 anymore. I also use the 32 MOA reticle on my shotgun, fits the shot pattern at any distance pretty nicely. I WANT to buy an RMR, but I DO buy Holosuns. Excellent review and commentary.

lmao except an RMR will stay 100% on 100% of the time with 4x the battery life of a shake awake holosun. spend your money on all the chinese fudd trash you want
@@DieselRamcharger what do you mean Chinese fudd trash?? Holosun is a American brand that outsources just like almost every other company nowadays. You’re basically saying RMR or nothing which is the same fudd talk as….muh ol 1911-45. 🤡
Having to remove the optic to replace the batteries and re-sight the optic afterwards is a deal-killer for me, especially considering the price of ammo these days. I hate to support China, but I also hate cutting off my nose to spite my face. Hence, I just mounted a Holosun EPS on my G40.
I have the Holosun 407 c green dot and I have no complaints. It has it all, "shake awake, solar power' and a nice crisp definable dot that is easy to find; most of all it works for me.
Shake awake is useless and isn’t necessary whatsoever as it’s easy as shit to turn on a red dot if needed. Shake awake in reality is a disguise for a poor battery that can’t stay on for years at a time so it turns off when u don’t touch it to preserve it 😂 something good like a Trijicon is running no matter what the hell happens
@@Rooooogboi if you use your gun as a bedside gun, it absolutely makes sense. why would i leave a red dot on if i don't know when i'll be using it? not everyone carries a gun all day every day.
@@Rooooogboi why would i want to waste battery life when an optic isn't in use, it's as simple as that. do you keep your shower on all day in the event that you'll use it? no, you simply turn off what you don't use and if that can be automated, it's a huge plus. most people will disagree with you. and who the hell wants to take their optic off and re-zero it every year. bolts get stripped, optic might comes loose, RMR optic is a dinosaur.
Excellent comparison, for my hard earned $$’s it’s Holosun hands down and I have an RMR on my AR. My carry EDC’s have a 509T and 507K respectively. No issues, more features, and much more value. A lot of the engineering for Holosun is done here.
I enjoy helping put food on American family tables and not committing treason by funding foreign adversaries that produce cheaper products using communist slave labor. But that’s just me. I don’t speak for the majority of the American “patriots” in the gun community.
Excellent comparison, review, and insight on small business impact. I ordered a Holosun 407C yesterday for my G19 Gen 3 this will be my first pistol optic. I went with Holosun for all the reasons you mentioned. Trijicon was never an option due to price and I see the green dot better. The shake awake and solar just seals the deal for me. I subscribed!
My wife recently started taking indoor shooting lessons. She has a Walther PDP F with a Holosun HE507C-GR X2 that was purchased in a $300 price range. Being a newbie, I thought she would take some time to become familiar with the gun and green dot but was surprised and pleased that she picked it up almost instantly on a 21-yard range.
Just purchased my 2nd Holosun (eps) my 1st being the 507C and really like them both. While I'd like the larger 6 moa dot the mrs system is such a nice feature & use the dot with the circle so I have a very easy to pickup reticle. While I do look at the competition I have come to really appreciate the inovation that Holosun brings to the table which keeps me coming back. Thanks for another great Video.
I own both RMR and various Holosuns including 509T X2, 407k, and owned the SCS. All are good dots but as already mentioned, quality of Trijicon is superior. Been running the 509T but will be going back to the RMR type 2 once the FC mounting plate comes in. RMR is IMO superior to CCW due to less printing since it's not as bulky. Changing the battery every year or 1.5 years shouldn't be an issue since it is already a good practice to confirm zero of any weapon every so often so changing batteries and confirming isn't really that bug of a deal. RMRs have been adopted by SOCOM so they are plenty durable and waterproof especially if Seals use them on their sidearms. Another note is that HOLOSUNs tend to bloom more or create a more of a starburst effect compared to RMR. I've noticed that on several Holosun, maybe it's just my eyes but that is another issue.
I'm an RMR guy 100% of the time. There's just way too much history that proves the RMR is the best red dot optic on the market. There is not a single reputable durability test out there in which a Holosun can beat an RMR. Take a look at the Sage Dynamics testing to confirm. Fair point... Many of the things in my house are made in China... None of those things are defending the life of my family and I. The RMR has been the go to optic for a lot of years... For a reason. The ONLY reason someone should buy a Holosun is if they can't afford an RMR. Holosun makes good budget optics. But please try not to defend your life based on budget.
How many times have you "defended your life" with that RMR? I understand the point, but people act like they're in a war on a daily basis. And they just aren't.
@@2whl4re That's a good and fair question. I hope I never have to. But I have ALL the confidence in the world that if I do, my RMR will work as intended. I spent the majority of my adult life working with people that defend and protect others. Some of them have defended lives with an RMR. They are people I trust and their experience matters. I have trained with them for years and have seen many optics fail during training. The one optic that I and most of my colleagues have never seen fail (minus user induced failures) is the RMR.
I just bought a brand new Trijicon last month for my Glock 19 MOS first trip to the range at 15 yards shoots 8 to 10 inches high and I’m adjusted it all the way down. I’m all about made in USA but when it comes to being over priced and Yesterdays technology, wish I would’ve gone another route.
I would love to get a Trijicon and would be willing to pay the price but there is no shake awake, you have to take the optic off to change the battery, compared to what is offered now the battery life is low. However, they are one of the only options if you want a made in the USA pistol optic. I do have a Holosun SCS on my 17 MOS that I do like. They are built well but some of the more affordable options look a little tacky with all of the large branding and the less subdued solar panels. I wish there were more options for made in the USA optics but there really are not. There are many US companies that make optics but most of them are only designed here and then they are made overseas; with most of them being in China. Sometimes you get assembled in the US which is better but still not the same as made in the US.
I have the 509t and i got it when they first came out and i love it. I believe its more rugged than the rmr and hands down has better features but for some reason that rmr is still the best looking micro red dot on any gun. Whether its on a pistol, rifle, or as a 45° offset with an lpvo it just looks so good. That shape and profile was genius
@@86keen not all holosun optics but the 509t is a tank. but like anything they can break with the right drop in the right spot. rmrs too. theres pics and videos of em breaking all the time. i personally believe the 509t is more rugged than the rmr but thats just my opinion ame i never said it was a good one. im probably biased too seeing that i have a 509t and not an rmr but i would like to get an rmr they are hands down the best looking red dot on the market still in my opinion
@bobbywright6354 Wait until moisture gets inside the glass, which creates water stains, lol. It happened to my 509T when going in and out of cold environments to hot environments, which is why I'm not using enclosed emitters until that isn't an issue.
I’ve been using the Holosun 508T for my duty gun for about 3 years and I’ve had no issues with the optic. I also use a Holosun AEMS for my rifle and it’s window is great and it’s held up nicely.
Excellent Comparison! I appreciate your hours of research, data compilation and video editing. You have made my decision for a replacement optic (my DS Prodigy 4.25 came equipped with the Dragonfly optic and a barrel with a peep notch, rendering its current optic; useless after say, 5 rounds. The Holosun is definitely a Win in my book. It was Trijicon A-Cogs when I was on Active Duty, many moons ago...... Semper Fidelis!
I have pistol dots and rifle dots from a few different manufacturers. In my opinion holosun keeps up everyone. In some areas they are the best. Their shake awake, battery life, and solor backup are absolutely awesome. I have a holosun 503 i bought forever ago when they had only been on the market for a year or two. It still works and the battery lasts a ridiculous amount of time because of the shake awake.
Thank you for taking the time to create this video. I'm still on the fence honestly.. If Trijicon would create a new RMR in green.. Done. Just picked up my new Sig P220 Legion today which is optics ready. So trying to educate myself on the latest technology. Your video certainly helped. Cheers from Leeds Alabama!
The Holosun 407Cx2 is IMO the most underrated RDO out there. It shares all the same excellent features that every other Holosun optic has except it's a dot only reticle. Same as the RMR. Yet the RMR is somehow awesome and the 407C is basically ignored.
I think it mostly comes down to three factors. It is not a Trijicon (fan boy syndrome) It is made in China (but as pointed out in the video what really is not these days) It looks kind of tacky with the huge Holosun logo and simple solar panels that you can see the traces on. (reminds people of the cheap $50 to $100 "arisoft" optics)
I have a holosun 407 CO x2 that is now discontinued. It has a small circle reticle that I find perfect. Again, all the same features as the others but with what I think is the best for me.
Timestamp 0:40 The need for an RMR adapter plate for the listed Holosun sights is true but it doesn't mean the sight will fit on your gun. The 508T does fit an RMR adapter plate but it is longer by 2-3 mm than the 507. Therefore, while a 507 will fit on a very thin RMR plate in the optic slot of one of the most popular carry guns, the Shield Plus, the 508 will not. It is too long. In order to mount a 508 on a Shield Plus, you have to find a specialty RMR plate that is so thick that it fills the slot to the top of the slide then you mount the 508 on top of that. Obviously your fixed sights become useless. Holosun cannot tell you which of its sights fit on any particular handgun only which footprint its sights possess. I have that in writing from Holosun. Fortunately though, Freedom Gorilla has done the research and compiled a chart on its website that will not only tell you which sight fits on which guns with the appropriate conversion plates, but provides excellent facts and instructions on how to perform the installations. That was very helpful and convenient since I discovered that my 508t mounts very easily on my M&P M2.0 Competitor, where it now resides. Stumbling upon Freedom Gorilla was an ulcer saving find. Now all I need to do is order a different optic sight for my Shield Plus, which I will do through Freedom Gorilla. P.S. I have neither personal nor business connections to Freedom Gorilla, but that chart has earned FG all my future business for the products it represents.
Great review I have quite a few Holosun and there service is exceptional. They perform very well. You enlightened on some the facts about trijicon which made my decision. Thank you.
My 508T has been put through the ringer for almost 2 years on my duty weapon. It's been beaten on, knocked into cars, barricades, etc. and has been totally submerged. It's never lost zero and never given me any trouble. I change the battery once a year, not because it needs it, but because it gives me piece of mind. My only "complaint" is that under certain lighting conditions I get a ghost image of the emitter on the screen. It doesn't effect usability, it's just annoying.
I was an RMR loyalist until I tested a 508T I got on a deal. Absolutely love it. So much so I have bought a 508T for both my full sized pistols and a EPS carry on my micro. I've been very pleased.
I have an Acro p2 on my night stand full size pistol. I have a 507k that I run on my CCW. I’m probably gonna put a SCS on it after we see how reliable it is.
People really riding the jocks of Holosun. They're good but they also lack quality control where I've had RDS dead on arrival, glue that's been slopped on the lens, reticules that aren't off when using the 32 MOA reticle options. I have plenty of Holosun optics. I own 10 407/507cs, 2 407ks, 1 508T, 509 and 4 different carbine RDS. I can attest their quality control just isn't great. Their warranty sucks and customer support isn't great either. While I don't own a ton of trijicon optics, I own enough to see the difference in quality control and attention to detail. Are they worth the price differences? Not really but I can't argue, Made in America, supporting a Christian company, attention to detail, warranty, and better durability is a selling feature to me. If it's between a 508T and a RMR type 2 adjustable, I'm picking the RMR. It's only a $60 price difference. If it's between a 407C and a RMR... well that depends on my wallet and budget at the time as you can buy 2 407Cs for the price of 1 RMR. Just be aware of you drop, break or a Holosun just dies after you buy one, you're going to buy another to replace it. Not the case with trijicon. I've bought a used type 1, had issues right out the gate, sent it to Trijicon and they sent me a new type 2, no cost to me. You see the difference?
I own 3 Holosuns. I love the 507 for handguns, I prefer the green and love the open circle for aiming. I have the 510 green on my PCC and love all of the options and the price is the clincher.
I love the review and the content of the channel! I am very torn between putting a RMRcc or 407K on my Glock 43X MOS. There are things i like from both side, and don't like. Price being one of the things I don't like from Trijicon, but I do like made in USA. For someone like myself, not running it hard, mostly indoor range, carry from time to time. Would you say the Holosun would be fine? Is more proven to be more reliable ?
I carry my Holosun every day. The 407k green is my favorite (and one of the best budget friendly options) but I am also liking the EPS Carry 6 Moa green. I’d recommend either of those for the 43X.
I was in the same situation and went with the RMRcc for my G43X MOS. It was on sale for $410 at my local gun store. I wanted to go with the 407k but all the employees at the store said just go with RMRcc so I did and I don't regret it. That said the 407k is a great affordable option. I carry it everyday and have shot a few thousand rounds with the RMRcc and it's solid. I really do like it and don't mind having to take off the optic to change the battery. I just put a reoccurring task in my Google calendar on the anniversary date of purchase to remind myself to do it. It also comes with a battery sealing plate in the box. Side note, I found an easter egg on the RMRcc. On the right side of it, at the top of the minus button, there is MT:13:32 in white lettering - at first I thought it had to do with the patent or model number but turns out this is a psalm from the bible. I know that's not for everyone but to me it meant a lot. Anyways, I'd say go with what you can afford and what works best for you. They are both great optics and I think it comes down to personal preference.
Until they remove the shit tint and add shakeawake or a side or top battery tray I honestly can't see myself running one ever again. I've had a 507k with the smaller batteries that hasn't been changed in 3 years on my everyday carry and yeah that shakeawake makes battery life astronomically high plus when I have to change batteries I dont have to take the optic off and risk stripped screws and being screwed with a dead optic stuck on my gun. The fact trijicon is still charging 500$ for this optic is honestly beyond me because you are really just paying for the name at this point. I challenge anyone who runs an rmr strickly to give a holosun a chance and I guarantee you will like it over a couple years of use more then your rmr.
I remember when i first noticed holosun was about 6 or 7 years ago and thought they looked nice but never heard the name. The website was really low quality too. Now you cant talk about red dot optics without holosun coming up. They are now probably the best value and great quality
I REALY like Holosun's. So far I have 5 now, 403r M4-22 , 510C MRS gr. M-4 , 507k gr. MRS G-43X , 507C gr. ACSS VOLCAN G-45 , and The newest EPS gr. MRS solar G-19 , I have yet to program it , I've been looking for a video on set-up , no luck yet (besides the books) . Thanks Buddy
Thank you for the great review. I want to purchase off your website due to this in depth review I just have a quick question. What is your return policy if the aesthetics are terrible (there’s a lot of reviews where the Holosun is missing paint on the inside portion) or if the 32 MOA circle is canted? Thanks again for the in-depth review
TBH with you the glue is the only thing we've ever seen that we consider not as aesthetically pleasing. If a reticle was canted that would be considered defective. Our return policy is simple, 30 day free returns, no questions asked - although we usually like to know the reason so we can better serve our customers.
To each his own. It’s Trijicon hands down for me. I refuse to skimp on optics and Holosun makes FINE optics, HOWEVER, when it comes to DURABILITY, Trijicon wins. Changing the battery every 17,000 hours is nothing.
@@freedomgorilla1 comparing them is interesting but my thought is depending in wich environment you are you choose different options. Open emitters are cool for range or competition but for duty the closed ones are taking over ✌️
Yes we agree. We may even do a video at some point comparing the two. Closed emitter we know is more reliable. But we wonder just how easy is it to render an open emitter useless.
I’m here to learn about these little red dots. Got my first red dot ready pistola and now I want one of these red dots. Too many to chose from and I don’t want to waste my cash on something I don’t need. The platform is the hellcat pro. Cheers everyone!
We have guides on our website and the optics you need. For thst I’d recommend a vortex defender ccw or a Holosun k series with adapter plate or a viridian rfx15
Best deals online, no need to be looking anywhere else!! Best site and a pleasure to deal with, super fast and smooth transaction. Ordered on Monday 24th got here the 28th, considering I'm from Puerto Rico and shipping was free that's awesome! A lot of sites don't want to ship here for nonsense reasons, this guys made it happen. Even the phone app got me impressed, this guys are doing their homework on how to keep costumers happy and make deals. Seriously they earned my business and from now on this is my first and only stop to get anything reddot related. Recommended! A++
Can you tell me if there is a way to mount the Holosun 509t GR X2 on a Hellcat Pro OSP? I know the EPS Carry will work just fine but unfortunately this model is not available in FDE like the 509t. I will settle for the EPS if the 509t has no options to fit the Hellcat. Thanks for a great informative video, you definitely explained things very clearly and in great detail.
Thank you so much for comparing the differences. I want to know which is easy to see the dot with both eyes open. I read that Trijicon has something called BAC. I am new to this world.
I ordered the 507k and i found the dot was doing a starburst effect, Sent it back for the 407C dot only. I hope the dot looks a little cleaner on the 407c vs the 507k
I Have a Holosun 507c x2 and it sucks I guess you get, what you pay for. the circle is blurry and the dot I sent it back and the one they sent back to me was just as bad Took it to a gun store to see if it was my eyes but they said that its the holosun optics the way they are
Really really great. The RMR HD came out which really got me wanting a dot, but those trijicon prices are dumb. I’ve always heard great things about Holosun but they have way too many models for me to research so this vid is amazing.
2:18 if u get the 509T u should just get the trijicon it’s just another like $50 more and it’s more durable because of the arch wich is scientifically and physically proven and even drop tested but when u buy a trijicon you’re paying for the patented design they have because the arch on the optic is patented and NO OTHER COMPANY IN THE WORLD can use that design without being sued because the patent
The 509T is just as durable and is an enclosed emitter. The rmr is not an enclosed emitter. You would have to get the RCR if you wanted to do an apples to apples comparison and that is around $700
Blue tint, fish eye, reliance on o ring to keep everything sealed properly are the reasons I’m not buying the rmr if they every decided to come out with an upgraded version ill pick one up
I have both Sights and I prefer the green dot holosun. Having to dismount the optic to change batteries and then realign the site from a tactical standpoint is something that really bothers me. Its a shame that the Chinese Holosun is a more affordable product that offers more features. The new holosun for Rifles has thermal technology for $1600 (The Closest American sight is over 7k for that technoogy). Holosun is innovating in a way that no other American optic company is coming close to. Its a sign of the times unfortunately.
dude i have a Glock 19 with an RMR cut slide from Brownell's. I purchased the 507k and am now finding out that there are no adapter plates that will fit without having to shave down the thread posts on my slide. is there an optic that fits direct on a RMR slide with thread posts? preferably holosun?
I just picked up a Beretta 1301 Tactical shotgun and am struggling with which optic to pair it with. Any feedback is appreciated. Trying to avoid buyers remorse on the wrong optic.
I bet the RMR won't lose zero falling off of a couch! This is the second time this has happened. I sent the first one back and they sent another and I knocked it off the couch a less than 5 minutes ago and it lost zero. Buy an Trijicon RMR! What if you're in a struggle and the gun gets knocked out of your hand? The sight will lose zero and you're screwed! I do not understand why the can't make a sight maintain zero during a drop test! Cylee hear I come!
I just bought a G17 for EDC, and I wanted an RMR because “OpErAtOr” but I can’t justify $700 that Trijicon is asking. Hell for that I could just buy another G17 and just use that to make up for any shots I missed lmao
Why are yall saying you have to rezero after a battery change if you take it off and put it back on the same place your shots should still be in the same place. And shooting from a pistol any change is negligible
I tried saving money with the Holosun with advice from others saying the holosun as just as good. Took a class, and it died halfway through. They fixed it for free but sold it and got an RMR. Buy once cry once
I’m not a fan of Holosun’s constant use of the MRS reticle. Out of the bunch you’re reviewing, only the EPS offers a 6moa dot. I own the Comp version and don’t like it that much. Give me a comp with 6moa, and I’ll be grinning from ear to ear.
I see Holosun all over Amazon so that was a bad point to make. I will say the prices are usually the same as yours or maybe a few dollars less but think that point was irrelevant.
The 407/507k falls under the micro rds category and they don't come with a solar fail safe like the 407/507c do. Perhaps a video comparing the Trijicon RMRcc to the Holosun 507k would be more fitting since both of those optics are more targeted towards micro sub compact handguns like the p365, hellcat and 43x. I own one a 507k in green and it's on my Glock 43X MOS. I actually replaced the RMRcc with it and have no regrets.
I bought a halosun 507k green from you guys and the glass broke on it they are not as rugged as rmr I just use it normal use on hand gun not hitting the sight I have both sight on hand gun can provide pictures if like
The EPS and 509T both come with an RMR plate in the box. However without the plate, the EPS shares the same footprint as the K series Holosun red dots.
Holosun all the way they are durable with better features and better battery life yes they made in china but who cares also you’re computer and phone is made in china and the work I think the trijicon is overpriced and they don’t offer any extra features on them but that’s my personal opinion great video👍🏻🇺🇸

@@roman2227 please refer to first comment. A good red dot will stay on for a year + lol, turning on and off a red dot isn’t even a real factor
Trijicon is mighty proud of their rmr holy smokes. I'm putting a holosun on top of my acog
Which one are you going with??
Excellent comparison, for my hard earned $$’s it’s Holosun hands down and I have an RMR on my AR. My carry EDC’s have a 509T and 507K respectively. No issues, more features, and much more value. A lot of the engineering for Holosun is done here.
Well said and we agree. Holosuns engineering is something we can’t get enough of.
I just ordered a 508T over an RMR for an offset green dot for my AR. I would probably have gotten Trijicon if they had a green dot
The fact that you don't have to remove your red dot to replace the battery is a huge +++.
Agreed, it’s one of our favorite features!
You don't have to remove the trijicon if you get the top loaded rmr tho
It's really a non-issue, takes seconds to change vs fighting with the tiny door on the side of the holosun
No it’s not 😂 the fact that the Trijicon battery won’t die for 3+ years is a huge ++++++ over the garbage ass holosun
Thank you and glad it was helpful!
The PDP is the best gun under 1k great choice
Just purchased my 2nd Holosun (eps) my 1st being the 507C and really like them both. While I'd like the larger 6 moa dot the mrs system is such a nice feature & use the dot with the circle so I have a very easy to pickup reticle. While I do look at the competition I have come to really appreciate the inovation that Holosun brings to the table which keeps me coming back. Thanks for another great Video.
Thank you
I own both RMR and various Holosuns including 509T X2, 407k, and owned the SCS.
Great information ty for sharing
Bingo! Holosun is fine, but rmr runs just like my glock it's sitting on.
Yea i agree w that
Holosun more rugged lol okay
@@86keen not all holosun optics but the 509t is a tank. but like anything they can break with the right drop in the right spot. rmrs too. theres pics and videos of em breaking all the time. i personally believe the 509t is more rugged than the rmr but thats just my opinion ame i never said it was a good one. im probably biased too seeing that i have a 509t and not an rmr but i would like to get an rmr they are hands down the best looking red dot on the market still in my opinion
its 100% not more rugged than an RMR lmfaoooo
Thanks for the honest review. The comments about business practices and small business impact were spot on.
Thanks so much for noticing that part!
The Holosun 407Cx2 is IMO the most underrated RDO out there. It shares all the same excellent features that every other Holosun optic has except it's a dot only reticle. Same as the RMR. Yet the RMR is somehow awesome and the 407C is basically ignored.
We agree. It’s funny bc the 407C is basically the exact competitor to the RMR type 2 adjustable and it’s the cheapest Holosun RMR footprint optic!
I think it mostly comes down to three factors.
It is not a Trijicon (fan boy syndrome)
It is made in China (but as pointed out in the video what really is not these days)
It looks kind of tacky with the huge Holosun logo and simple solar panels that you can see the traces on. (reminds people of the cheap $50 to $100 "arisoft" optics)
I have a holosun 407 CO x2 that is now discontinued. It has a small circle reticle that I find perfect. Again, all the same features as the others but with what I think is the best for me.
I like the 407c. I have it on my vp9sk and its pretty good.
Thanks for the video comparison. Very informative. Went with the Holosun 407C ordered a custom plate looks beautiful on the blued Ruger Mark lV.
407c is a great optic!
great video. went with the holosun 407c. thank you for this comparison.
Great review I have quite a few Holosun and there service is exceptional. They perform very well. You enlightened on some the facts about trijicon which made my decision. Thank you.
Cool care to share what’s swayed you either way?
This guy sold me, got an EPS Carry MRS yesterday from Freedom Gorilla for my p365. Can't wait to try it.
@@StatueofGuyThinking thanks, we appreciate it! 🇺🇸🦍
Very well said. Thank u for sharing that
I was an RMR loyalist until I tested a 508T I got on a deal. Absolutely love it. So much so I have bought a 508T for both my full sized pistols and a EPS carry on my micro. I've been very pleased.
Sounds like just couldn’t afford another RMR brother. Sell that Holosun garbage
I have an Acro p2 on my night stand full size pistol. I have a 507k that I run on my CCW. I’m probably gonna put a SCS on it after we see how reliable it is.
Nice. P2 seems to be priced quite competitively
Just bumped into your channel. Excellent overview. Subscribed.
Thank you!
I like the 507k better then the 507c. The k is smaller and has a co-witness slot.
Thanks for this info. I'm new to this type of sight/optic and this really helped. Cheers!
Glad it was helpful!
I own 3 Holosuns. I love the 507 for handguns, I prefer the green and love the open circle for aiming. I have the 510 green on my PCC and love all of the options and the price is the clincher.
I have a 510C on a rifle and love it. Looking at the 507 for a G40
Just picked up a rmr type 2 adjustable for $369.00 with the trijicon 100$ rebate. No brainer. American made enough said.
I wish the 509 with ACSS had been included in this. Great video!

Yep it’s a great value!
To each his own. It’s Trijicon hands down for me. I refuse to skimp on optics and Holosun makes FINE optics, HOWEVER, when it comes to DURABILITY, Trijicon wins. Changing the battery every 17,000 hours is nothing.

I want a closed emitter for a sig p365. What do you recommend.
Well thats a hard question because open and closed emitters have different usage
We agree but which question are you referring to? We are comparing the rmr to open and closed emitter holosuns
Shake awake feature is not mentioned, Shake awake can literally make your battery last for more than a decade.
Good catch and surprised we didn’t mention it!
Excellent video, I am trying to decide between a 509T vs. EPS for my new Glock 17 Gen 5 MOS FS

Thank you. Unfortunately there isn’t a way
The Trijicon will mount to a Zev RMR cut. The 509T and EPS won't.
I just got in my holosun from y’all!!!
Kinda still want a Trijicon but fun money is low, I’ll trade knafes for Rmr hahah
Is there a 6 MOA for the 507c? I haven’t been able to find one if so. “C” as in RMR footprint and not using an adapter plate.
There is not it only has a 2 MOA dot but there is an ACSS version with a 10 MOA chevron reticle (basically an upside down v)
Thank you so much for comparing the differences. I want to know which is easy to see the dot with both eyes open. I read that Trijicon has something called BAC. I am new to this world.
They’re both the same. I don’t know what BAC is. Never heard it
Holoson and vortex Are continuously uping their game, and Trigicon isn't changing much, maybe due to contracts
I ordered the 507k and i found the dot was doing a starburst effect, Sent it back for the 407C dot only. I hope the dot looks a little cleaner on the 407c vs the 507k
It won’t. It’s due to astigmatism
Yah, I looked through my brand new 508t with my reading glasses on and the dot was a mess. When I took my glasses off it was fine. Whew!
I Have a Holosun 507c x2 and it sucks I guess you get, what you pay for. the circle is blurry and the dot I sent it back and the one they sent back to me was just as bad Took it to a gun store to see if it was my eyes but they said that its the holosun optics the way they are

Your dual illuminated one doesn’t have batteries though right?
@@freedomgorilla1 yep, fiber optic and tritium, i never experienced it but look at fiber optic sights reveiw and youll see why they aint so popular.
If the high price ones emitters not good and still have blurry dots might as well go budget

Yes of course any of these besides the 509t or eps freedomgorilla.com/collections/holosun-rmr-footprint-optics?_pos=1&_psq=Rmr&_ss=e&_v=1.0
I just picked up a Beretta 1301 Tactical shotgun and am struggling with which optic to pair it with. Any feedback is appreciated. Trying to avoid buyers remorse on the wrong optic.
407 or 507c would be nice
I bet the RMR won't lose zero falling off of a couch! This is the second time this has happened. I sent the first one back and they sent another and I knocked it off the couch a less than 5 minutes ago and it lost zero. Buy an Trijicon RMR! What if you're in a struggle and the gun gets knocked out of your hand? The sight will lose zero and you're screwed! I do not understand why the can't make a sight maintain zero during a drop test! Cylee hear I come!
great vid.
I just bought a G17 for EDC, and I wanted an RMR because “OpErAtOr” but I can’t justify $700 that Trijicon is asking. Hell for that I could just buy another G17 and just use that to make up for any shots I missed lmao
Exactly. The SRO is not comparable to modern holosuns. But it’s not a duty optic really
$700? Dude they're $400 all day
Very good objective video
Ty!
I do gotta say that the light is an LED not a Laser. But good info otherwise.
Why are yall saying you have to rezero after a battery change if you take it off and put it back on the same place your shots should still be in the same place. And shooting from a pistol any change is negligible
Because it’s not always that precise of a lock up. You can try it
I tried saving money with the Holosun with advice from others saying the holosun as just as good. Took a class, and it died halfway through. They fixed it for free but sold it and got an RMR. Buy once cry once
Did this guy do ALL the jaw exercises?
I’m not a fan of Holosun’s constant use of the MRS reticle. Out of the bunch you’re reviewing, only the EPS offers a 6moa dot.
I own the Comp version and don’t like it that much. Give me a comp with 6moa, and I’ll be grinning from ear to ear.
Is the window on the EPS larger than the RMR?
Yes
I see Holosun all over Amazon so that was a bad point to make. I will say the prices are usually the same as yours or maybe a few dollars less but think that point was irrelevant.
Not sure what u mean exactly. I can tell you Amazon won’t give you the support we do. And many on Amazon can be repackaged or returns.
One long commercial for holosun 🤣
Not really
What do you think about the holosun 507k?
The 407/507k falls under the micro rds category and they don't come with a solar fail safe like the 407/507c do. Perhaps a video comparing the Trijicon RMRcc to the Holosun 507k would be more fitting since both of those optics are more targeted towards micro sub compact handguns like the p365, hellcat and 43x. I own one a 507k in green and it's on my Glock 43X MOS. I actually replaced the RMRcc with it and have no regrets.
why does Holosun green dots cost more than red??? like????
Thank you

I bought a halosun 507k green from you guys and the glass broke on it they are not as rugged as rmr I just use it normal use on hand gun not hitting the sight I have both sight on hand gun can provide pictures if like
Joaquin that is unfortunate. Did you reach out to Holosun? They will warranty it
The EPS and the 509T do not have an RMR footprint.
Thank you
American made or Chinese made. You decide but pretty easy for me.
Holosun is just better its not price its about performance
