@EviltoasterofFP Depends on the setup and timing. With the raw tag versions pushblock obviously doesn't work. With the other setups it's about timing, remember the teleports track, if you timed them right it will bypass the AG issue.
Love the video. Do you think Round Trip would be effective if used w/ Dante Jam Session assist, or should I use Viper for those unblockable setups? I really don't like to use Viper since I think her combos require alot of execution, and I'm already used to Dante's bold cancel BnBs. Thanks!
If pad player just change one of your triggers to L button you don't need all 4 triggers. Have one trigger for M+H for hypers another for L which let's you buttons and because the other trigger is MH it also enables you to charge switch. The other 2 triggers for assist.
Maybe. That's not a bad idea. It's really pretty simple though, you just have to miss with the last hit. Which usually means hitting with the attack at an un usually angle. The easiest setup is a TK SkyDance on an opponent being juggled by drones.
Vergils round trip is pretty much a comination of trish's special and hyper moves that throw her sword.....For a future video im gonna suggest using dormammu's fireball hyper. There are some dirty mixups and tag combos and other neat tricks you can do with it -charlie88
@bumfire007 Did you see how they got hit with that one stray orb really late in dimensions slash? If that happens they will be knocked down long enough to do a second one. It's random, but it happened when I was recording, so I left it in.
my bad,its not a guaranteed free hit but if you teleported beforehand they'll have to deal with a left/right and high/low mixup. I usually throw my round trips in the air prolonging the lock down and mix up potential.
@DJxKneecap Well, I included a small section on how to force the opponent to block the round trip. But, in that case, Vergil doesn't lose any options when throwing the RT, so all Wesker did was jump, and Wesker is much, much weaker in the air than on the ground, so he's still at a disadvantage.
Im having a little trouble... With the round trip in general, i dont know what you use to charge it because i have a hard time holding a button sith my right thumb and continuing to press buttons
@SpitefulAZ I'm no Vergil expert but I've been playing him since day one, most people especially online mash the crap out of AG when they block round trip. which ironically is better for you it forces them in longer guard stun so as soon as you get pushed away dash towards them and hit crouching heavy puts you in perfect range to connect for a combo. I've heard on streams too its better to actually block Vergil's mix up
Great video! sorry if this was already asked, but from your experience, do your round trip mix ups fail when they push block the round trip? Mine do, I big pushed away even after teleporting, can't do cross under mixups or rapid slash, how do you counter this?
@bumfire007 according to a vergil vid i saw way back it only happens when you get all the hits in from mashing...there should be a late hit which will give you time to do air time into maximum vergil
@bumfire007 I always activate the Hyper when Vergil's head is just above the opponents crotch area and mash like crazy. I usually get the followup around 80 percent of the time. Even more often on larger characters.
@netolcc06 A mix up for Dante and Akuma ( you prob already know this) is with Dante on point hit your opponent with Med to put them in block stun use akumas tatsu assist right after and teleport at the same time if they block the tatsu catch them with an overhead hammer or bee sting, mix it up time to time to be less predictable. Also copy paste this" I watched some MvC2, A UMVC3 Dante Reset Tutorial " this is from kbkoolio's channel its a great dante reset and mix up video.
@jhvidst2 Im assuming timing and patience applies to opponents who love to super jump as well. My biggest problem is keeping the opponent on the ground. I know assists can help grounding the opponent but is there anything else Vergil players can do in situations where he is the last character standing (to get round trip mixups going)?
Ex: Wesker is on point (remember just an example) and he superjumps the Roundtrip and teleports back to the floor when roundtrip is over. What to do then. I don't use Vergil but ya' know, Just the sake for asking
Then maybe you could just show us setups for it, you know, like a quick video you can do for Dante newbies like myself. It won't have to be too long and it would really help.
Got any tips for a Nova, Vergil, Wesker? what I do is I'll throw a round trip on an incoming character, as they are locked down, I'll call Nova centurion rush and teleport behind them and Hit them low to create an unblockable situation, but that's all I know though...
Man, this is great info. I am so using these set ups with my team of Vergil, Wesker and Chun Li.
Awesome video man!
I heard the Zone of the Enders 2 music
and then I was like.
"Greatest man on youtube"

zoe + high max megaman music. very nicely done
Great video bro I was wondering if you could make a video with some anti push block stuff?
Interesting stuff. I run Trenchcoat team so I'll be experimenting haha.
BTW... I love that Virgil pick for the background. where did you find it?
@Eclipse1113 The big thing I notice on that team is that you have the order backwards. It makes much more sense as Trish/Vergil/Taskmaster.
Nice video as always Ve. We need to play one day

@agutra Hmm... I'm tempted to suggest both an AA assist or a beam assist. Strider probably fill your overall needs the best.
nice tech

i think your supposed to mash till halfway or something and then leave the super alone then the stray orb should hit, letting u do high time

damn that move... too easy to be super tricky with it

Love tat picture! where can i get it?
I'm playing with the team Dante/Akuma/Hawkeye. Could you make a video showing mixups and the sinergy of this team? :)
Ex: Wesker is on point (remember just an example) and he superjumps the Roundtrip and teleports back to the floor when roundtrip is over. What to do then.
I don't use Vergil but ya' know, Just the sake for asking
Can you do a tech video about Dante's move "skydance"? I want to know how to make it give a super hard knock down.
can you do any hawkeye tech or wesker?
Then maybe you could just show us setups for it, you know, like a quick video you can do for Dante newbies like myself. It won't have to be too long and it would really help.

Interesting, I've played Vergil for about a year now, and I never use H teleport as his mix up.
So uhh, what about advancing guard? Everyone pushblocks the round trip.
Any link for the cool wallpaper in the video?
Can you do wolverine video about his Swiss Cheese Tech. Cause I wanna find some way to make that move useful.
2:50 , Ignore this. its a reminder , i just gotta learn how 2 do that
Song at 3:12? anyone know?
@MrArchibaldwitwiki JK never mind era
If no topic is too simple do Hulk combos :)
vergil, strider new best friends??
can you do tricks and techs with dr.strange please??
@IISADHD deal with it muwahahahahah
