Thanks for the detailed tutorial. Im trying to vary my character options in tournaments by learning more stronger characters and incorporating them into my teams. After this, playing vergil does'nt feel as awkward when playing from scratch.
I have my right trigger set to (L+M) The easiest way I've found to do this loop is when you do your jump series after rising sun cancel to get your ground bounce, perform the M with the (L+M) button (hold it to charge the sword) and continue to the bounce, release it when necessary. Once the loop is started you can just charge the M you used for lunar phase with practically perfect timing. You only use the Light and medium buttons for specials during the loop so there will be no conflict.
For the corner starter that he used: stinger, rising sun/cancel, super jump (L+M)(charge), H, S (bounce), cr.H, stinger, (release L+M), cr.H, L.Judgement Cut, cr.H, Spiral Swords, Lunar Phase (charge the M instead of releasing) release M as soon as you're fully charged, no real need to do any complicated pre-charging. It's pretty much built in. This works best for me on a pad. Hope that it's useful for others.
Thank you very much, i just finished my 3rd loop and im learned this on the Psvita version. Took me nearly 3 hours. haha, now time to get bopped online.
Went into training mode yesterday at 10 am. Never attempted sword loops before. By 1 pm i was doing it like a champ. Really easy really damaging. Vergil number 1.
I can get the Vergil to cross under in the corner to throw the throw to extend the combo. Sometimes the dummy makes it over my head sometimes he doesn't. I'm referring to after stinger
That's almost exactly what I do. Whenever I use Vergil or Zero, I'm on a standard controller so I move the buttons a bit. I turn my Partner buttons into an second L and H input just for the sake of charging buster / force edge respectively. L3 and R3 become my new assist / tag inputs. The biggest issue is remembering to button check later honestly.
you have to teleport back down with H, and then you superjump and press M, M, S as soon as you quit the ground. The 1st M will keep you about the same altitude as the opponent, the 2nd M with hit (you can do an H for more damage, but I don't think it's easier), and the S will cause the ground bounce ;)
I found it easier after the upper cut. One landing the upper cut just hold L down. I usually do a down H, forward H, teleport M, Down H and activate swords.
I'm going for a slightly different variation of the sword loop but I can't identify why it doesn't work: cr.H, Stinger, trick M, cr.H ~ spiral swords, lunar phase, release round trip, light judgement, *cr.H* ~ spiral swords. My second cr.H always misses... (the one i put in *'s) and I'm not sure. Also, do you have any tips for super jumping after the Trick H? I'm having a lot of difficulty and can land it every 1/10 tries. That's why I've opted for the more basic starter. Cheers
in most tournament vids i see the players doing 2 helm breakers, round trip then crouch c into judgment cut, then crouch c into moar swords, any significant differences?
Is this even possible to do on the D-Pad (comfortably of course)? I can easily execute all of Vergil's moves, but holding down a button is rather difficult on the D-Pad.
thanks for the video. everytime after i hit the oppnent up, i teleport down and try to do a super jump, but i always can't make it in time to hit the opponent in mid air, allowing them time to recover. may i know what am i doing wrong?
This seems easy, I've done a variation, but how the fuck do people teleport after rising sun? This is the most basic thing, but seriously, I can't do it no matter how many times I try.
Derrick Garner in umvc3 you oughta run a beam assist. means you can teleport with it and get easy mix-ups. if it's on battery, I'd say mags or doom. maybe even strange w/ balthakk assist (underrated imo, 2 beam assist but doesn't hit smalls)
This guy's good, he should do commentary
HEY SAJAM BEEN A FEW YEARS HOPE THE KIDS ALRIGHT JUST LEARNING ME SOME VERGIL LOOPS DONT MIND ME

I didn't realize Sajam was out here teaching marvel combos, that's crazy. I was just looking up Vergil combos out of curiosity.

When are you beginning to charge the first sword throw
the timing of the Crouching H after the Judgement cut is pretty difficuly...
on my xbox controller i use the left trig as L and the right as LM , easy to special with and easy to wavedash with(H cancel)
u might be starting with S, H , S which wont let u do the down H , forward H
i have trouble inputting the second c.H after throwing round trip any advice

Im a little confused on when you start charging vergil's sword throw attack
This vid helped me ALOT!!! Can you do a breakdown for Dr.Doom,Dante & Spencer?
"You know who taught everybody how to do Vergil Sword Loops?" - Sajam
Probably not going to play him but he's the best character to back up wesker on point! that upsets me
Add H after the Rising sun

I kind of suck at cancelling cr. H into swords, especially facing left.
man this is so hard to do with a pad and keeping sword charge its like quantum combos

A lot easier that I thought. Just need to time it better and get at least 3 reps.
Saw the controller video, came back to this
I'm from the future, and I came to tell you all that Sajam is still cool
I can't do the hit after shoryuken motion light any tips
nice vid, but do you have notes anywhere? I learn better seeing it that way
Does it matter which atk ur holding for the boomerang? And is it doable on a pad since i wanna do this is on the vita
thanks for the video. everytime after i hit the oppnent up, i teleport down and try to do a super jump, but i always can't make it in time to hit the opponent in mid air, allowing them time to recover. may i know what am i doing wrong?
which round trip are you throwing, and is there a difference?
I can't get any move to connect after rising sun + teleport. It jus wont connect =/
maybe button configure one of the triggers to medium
good vid
i just picked up virgil for my morridoom team
This seems easy, I've done a variation, but how the fuck do people teleport after rising sun? This is the most basic thing, but seriously, I can't do it no matter how many times I try.
I'm still trying to learn this combo. Been playing since the very first marvel vs Capcom. Vergil's my character. wit Cap and Akuma

Sometimes I'll alternate Hawkeye in for Akuma. I'm just trying to upgrade my skill level so I can get with you youngsters online.lol
Thanks for the tip.lol doom and magneto are my son's characters
Input please
Still cant get this combo down
errr
cr.H, Stinger, trick M, cr.H ~ spiral swords, lunar phase, release round trip, cr.H, light judgement, *cr.H* ~ spiral swords
