  • During my Norwegian Cruise Line adventure, I had the pleasure of visiting Skagway, Alaska. One of the highlights of my trip was a three-hour excursion on the historic White Pass Railroad, offering breathtaking views of the rugged Alaskan landscape. After the scenic train ride, I explored the local breweries, enjoying unique craft beers at both Klondike Brewing and Skagway Brewing. The combination of stunning natural beauty and local flavors made my visit to Skagway truly memorable.

The ship will wait for you as long as you book the excursion through the cruise line. I know there is a 4 hour and 8 hour route. I chose the 4 hour route because I didn’t want to be on a train for 8 hours. I’m glad I decided to do the shorter route because I got to visit the town. The port is a lot of fun to visit. We had more than enough time to see everything.

Skahway reminds me of "Skaggs", a store that my parents would drag me to during the 80s. Not related at all, I apologize.

The towns in Alaska have cool names. The breweries were great!
