Ovation of the Seas - Exploring Skagway, Alaska

- A glimpse at our day on Royal Caribbean's Ovation of the Seas at our port of call: Skagway, Alaska. We took a train ride on the White Pass Railroad. We booked the White Pass Sumit Excursion. After that we ate lunch at Skagway Brewing Co. and shopped around Skagway. It was a rainy day but absolutely gorgeous! We hopped back on the Ovation for our five o'clock North Star Experience. The 300 foot ride felt like nothing compared to the almost 3,000 feet we had climbed earlier on the White Pass Railroad. We had dinner in the American Icon and enjoyed every bite! To wrap up an already amazing day we visited Finish That Lyric game show in Two70, Switched On Band in the Music Hall and wrapped up with Hot Sands in Boleros. Switched On Band and Hot Sands both are great bands! We enjoyed each opportunity to see them play. Skagway is a nice little town. The landscape there is unbelievably beautiful. Easily the most impactful port on our June Alaska Cruise.

So glad to find your channel - I'm just back from Alaska but on Discovery Princess (we docked in Skagway a week after the landslide), and I was SO SO gutted to not get a ticket for the train, so I'm glad to have lived this excursion through your video.

Hey Tony! The train ride was additional but we purchased our tickets through Royal Caribbean. It was super easy and definitely a worthwhile excursion!
What was all the paperwork for?
Hey rachelkelch1421! The paperwork was for the port valet service for our luggage to the airport. We highly recommend this service! It makes disembarking easy peasy!

Yes the ship is accessible.
