Love the video. If you have video from glacier bay national park, I would love to see it as well!

We are sailing same route in Sept 2024 but on HAL. We are also booked on train ride. Last time we did it was 2000 so looking forward to see if anything changed. Looking forward to your other videos on this journey. Safe sailings.

Kind of ironic that the narrow guage trains are both more likely to tip over and yet more stable! At higher speeds they flip easily so speeds are kept around 25 to 35 mph usually, but they can make tighter turns than the standard track trains and handle uneven and mountainous areas better! (My cousin works for Amtrak, I'm not like Sheldon on The Big Bang Theory! LOL!)

Been there! It was great fun and we did the white pass train ride too! We went in August 2007 on our cruise to Alaska. Inside passage to Alaska.

Skagway felt to be the most Alaskan stop. As in what get shown in tv shows set in Alaska. Most everywhere else felt overly touristy.

I took that train ride in '97, wish I could remember how much it cost then because it sure wasn't 150.00! Ouch!
