G’Day,John. Nice look at the unemployment line and I, & many others, hope you stay unemployed as your videos are so enjoyable. I really enjoy your narrative, John. Added to your narrative are the chats with tourists, police, and other videographers. You mentioned daisies covering the ground and that reminded be of my daughter’s farm near Ashford. Part of the Farm is large forest, and this time of the year, the ground of the Forest is just covered with bluebells,; just breath taking. What a terrific find @ 43:50, that marvelous grey squirrel. The lad jogging @ 55:30, you can’t really blame him for using that marvelous turf to run on, plus: no people there. While not much in the way of Horse Guards on this video, it is one of the more unique and enjoyable videos; and I Thank You, John.

I really enjoyed this video. I've lived in London for 35 years, but have never seen Buckingham Palace or St Jame's Park. Why? I hate crowds, get claustrophobic. Thank you, John for braving the masses to show us the sights!

My grandfather was a police officer and Horsegards was his stomping grounds in the 1940s/50s he policed The Trooping The Colour and he would get my grandmother and my mum in to watch it! So many memories of my mum telling me all about it ❤️ thank you John for the walkabout and time and effort you put into your videos ❤

That was a wonderful, if unplanned, "London City Walk" today....thank you John. Wonderful snapshots of that magical city and even PELICANS that didn't look too thrilled at being surrounded by tourists. All they wanted was to bask in the gift of the sunshine!

This is a place I know well, as I go up to Westminster to attend an all-party parliamentary group on brain tumours involving looking at treatments, research funding etc. It's a bleedin' rabbit warren but well worth a look. Anyway, a fantastic video and you are so lucky to catch the Irish Guards march on their way to the Palace, and I actually like the military music in the background, just so long as it doesn't drown you out or get you shot with copywright issues. Excellent stuff!
Thanks for the video John. I couldn't cope with those crowds especially at Buck Palace. It's years since I've been in London. Too many people now. At least I can see it when you do all the hard work. 😃

I'd happily pay £5 to sit for two hours in a deckchair and take in the sights , the glorious sunshine and colours , the views spectacular ! Go up to the Palace in those crowds no thank you ! My worst nightmare 😶 . So many thanks for braving it on our behalf John 😘. Now John you're slipping , we need to know the name of the squirrel ! Nutkin maybe ? Did you get close enough to look at his paw ? I hope the couple from York ( a beautiful city ) got to see their son after you took them round . I always enjoy your walks through London! Today was especially beautiful even with Horse Guards closed. As a kid growing up in Nashville Tennessee we always went to Centennial Park where a replica of the Parthenon was built. I was happy to take this guided tour!!!

Grandson on a bus in Paris, bus knocked down a pedestrian. Bus driver opened door, looked out, said in French "he's not hurt". closed bus door and drove away! Grandson looked back, pedestrian still lying beside road. True story.

I can believe it.. The standard of driving in Paris is absymal. We had police in a van go on the pavement.. and laughing as pedestrians ran for their lives.. no sirens on. In hotel getting ready to go out to dinner one evening my friend said.. come and look at this. in the side st4eet our hotel room overlooked below our balcony was HALF a parking space.. a car had arrived and was ramming front and back the two cars. He shunted them enough to get his car in.. his own car damaged as well as the other two.. got out.. look smug and pleased with himself. locked the car and went off. Unbelievable. We were both London Police officers. so many cars there were bashed up.. never seen so many in such a bad state. Nice cars too.. they don;t care.

In my opinion there is a lot of interest in the Royal Family and all the goings on and that has spilled over to the other aspects of all the traditions and such. That walk through the park brought back memories for me of walking that very route in the same sort of weather more than 60 years ago. I was in my early 20’s.I remember stopping to talk to an old man ,he was feeding birds and they were sitting on his shoulders and arms and even clinging to his beard while he fed them……he lived on the streets .He was quite well known at the time.

Feel so sorry for all the tourists who really wanted to see the guards and the horses.
Oh WOW! I love seeing the band and guards of the Irish Guards regiment and then horses! What a great, friendly female police officer ...... and you can't resist flirting, can you, John? 😉 What I wouldn't give to be walking in St James Park on a beautiful late spring day under those trees. Walking there early in the morning, before the hordes descend mid morning, is delightful. I was always amazed at how quickly you could no longer hear the sound of traffic when you entered the park. Entrance to Clarence House as well. Even a couple of the RAF service personnel who have taken over guard duty recently at Buckingham Palace. Love the view through the park back to Horse Guards. This walk has just so much great content! Thank you, John. Oh, Versailles - once you've fought your way through the hordes inside the palace (especially the Hall of Mirrors), going into Le Petit Trainon and then the gardens surrounding the palace is a brilliant way to spend a full day.
Wow John, you couldn't have taken us on a more spectacular trip if you had actually planned it. What magnificent views, colours and sights you have shown us, this video has made my day. Wow John I’ve really enjoyed today thank you I don’t get to London much and it’s nearly silly season down here in Mevagissey holiday makers but I enjoy meeting people from all walks of life. If you ever get the chance to come here come from the last week in June and the first week in July it’s Feast Week where we have a huge parade all the children dance there is a massive fish paraded and it’s all to thank the fish. The last Saturday has many different stalls with delicious food and we have a live show on the harbour it’s brilliant I love it. You will probably see me helping pick up rubbish. We all like to do our bit. Anyway thank you for today I truly loved watching and listening to your commentary. You have such a wealth of knowledge bless you thank you again 😊

I know it serves an income-producing purpose for the city, BUT.....that huge ferris-wheel is such an eyesore mixed in with the glorious historic buildings. It just is so out of place....much like the "pyramid" in the courtyard of the Louvre in Paris. Who chooses these inappropriate locations? 😢 Why mess with perfection?
