Ich habe zwar keinen Peugeot 206, aber das Video war sehr informativ, auch weil sich viele Arbeitsschritte prinzipiell nicht groß verändern zu anderen Fabrikaten. Ich habe einen Opel Astra, der leider nicht ohne abgeschraubtes Motorlager und dadurch erforderliche Motorbrücke auskommt.

CT1063K1? What year and what power has your engine? The engine code should be DV4TD not DV4TG.

Will I have to remove the radiator, exhaust manifold and steering pump as it looks like there are bolts between steering pump and exhaust manifold holding the alternator on or are the bolts accessible from below??? My car is a Citroen xsara Picasso desire 2 which I believe is near identical layout to the Peugeot 205....

Ich brauch die Stelle, wo die Motornummer steht. Vorne am Motorblock habe ich was gefunden, weis aber nicht ob die es ist. Es gibt mehrere Sätze an Zahnriemen.

Lustigerweise steht in der Anleitung vom Peugeot auch, dass man eine Motorbrücke braucht und das Lager ausbauen soll. Eine selbstgebaute Motorbrücke ist in unseren Videos zu den Motorlagern beim Passat zu sehen.
If you hear a whining the tension in the belt is to strong. If the belt is vibrating and hitting the plastic cover the tension is much to low. Strange noise from the engine itself could result from a wrong adjustment of the timing

I hear strange noise like misko misiu,when you started a car without a ribbed belt. I hear some whining same like on my car. Can you tell me, is this sound when you started a car ok ? I'm afraid all the time there is something wrong whit my car ? Thak you?
It is very difficult to analyze a noise by description. Even the sound in the video is rather different to the sound in reality. When a belt is whining, usually the tension is too high, but sometimes it is just the rubber quality which is causing the noise. A way to check the noise, is to apply some silicon spray during the belt is running. If the noise disappears, you know at least which belt causes the noise.

How is the plastic part you remove at 1:53 called? It is clipped by two clips to the lower control arm. But I can't find the name of that part anywhere so can't look for a replacement.

Hi, biolts aren't good, the thread makes them thinner and then there is too much play. You may use drills, just in reverse direction. But when asking Google with the keywords timing tools Peugeot you'll find also the right tools. Greetings, Jürgen

Im Prinzip ist der Zahnriemenwechsel für alle Motoren ähnlich, allerdings sind die Spanner und die Werkzeuge zum Fixieren der OT-Position verschieden. Beim Diesel treibt der Riemen auch noch die Einsprizpumpe an. Vorschlag, besorge Dir eine Anleitung und dann kannst Du die Unterschiede sehen.
Should be quite similar, the 1.1 and 1.4 engine are on the same base. Remove the covers and the drive belt and you'll see. The tensioner of the drive might be different, the car in the video has air condition.
@TheAristosLP Müsste hinkommen. Die Beschreibung des Bolzens zur Blockierung der Kurbelwelle habe ich einem Buch über den 306 entnommen. Die Kennbuchstaben des Motors sind TU 3JP. Vorsicht, es wurden verschiedene Zahnriemen verbaut. Also Motornummer oder Nummer des alten Zahnriemens ablesen.

The belt tension is fine. He is correct when he turns the belt 90 degrees, if the belt can turn just about to 90 degrees, then the tension is fine.

yes, you should change the belts and all bearings. That they still run is luck and no argument that they don't break tomorrow. If something breaks it cost you the engine.

+ian latham Hi Ian, unfortunately I have no video for this job. You disconnect the battery, you remove the drive belt, as shown in this video and than you dismount the alternator. If you remove the AC compressor, the hoses must remain, or you must refill the the AC-system in the shop. Greetings, Jürgen

@TheParsonsdtp The noise in the video is more disturbing than in reality. In the video I started the engine and I ask "Noise ... it's okay!". No one of us noticed a difference to the noise before the change. Some people already commentes that the belt tension might be to strong, but I don't think so.
@ajdin25de Die Einsicht kam mir auch, als ich die undichte Pumpe gesehen habe. Den Wechsel kannst Du in der Videoantwort zu diesem Video sehen. Die Wasserpumpe hatte erst 30000 km und war schon undicht.
@R1d3R89 Der Zahnriemen wird einfach durch Öffnen der Schraube an der Spannrolle entspannt. Beim Keilrippenriemen fehlt der Handgriff, weil die Kamarafrau den Riemen abnehmen musste, während ich den Spanner mit dem gezeigten Werkzeug gehalten habe. Sorry.
Sure, you have to bleed it. If you use another type of cooiling liquid, it is best to bleed it, to refill it with water, run it a while, bleed it again and then fill it with the new cooling liquid.

Das Video ist an sich ganz gut aber ich finde absolut nicht das Loch für die arretierung des kurbelwellenrades können sie das nochmal genau beschreiben ? Danke
Sebastian Müller Hallo Sebastian, ich habe das erste Mal auch lange gesucht Wenn man unter dem Auto vorne steht und am Schwungrad am Block nach oben schaut, kommt erst ein kleines Loch. Dieses ist aber das falsche, obwohl man durch das Loch auf die Zähne für den Anlasser schauen kann. Ca 5 - 10 cm darüber, etwas nach hinte versetzt, von unten eigentlich nicht sichtbar, ist das eigentliche Loch. Nimm einen Spiegel zur Hilfe. Viele Grüße, Jürgen
Hallo danke für die Antwort habe es gefunden man findet es eigentlich am besten von oben neber dem Ölfilter (ich hab einen Ölfilter der in einem schwarzen Plastikgehäuse sitzt) trotzdem vielen dank für die Antwort
Was ist das jaulen nach dem Start ich habe das bei meinem 206 jetzt auch und wir haben alles nochmal kontrolliert
Hallo, das Jaulen im Video ist nicht so wie in Realität, die Kamera verfälscht den Ton. Generell kommt ein Jaulen von einem zu stramm gespannten Riemen. Also erst mal den Keilriemen wieder runter und wenn er dann immer noch jault, den Zahnriemen etwas lockerer spannen. Viele Grüße, Jürgen

leider hast du nicht gezeigt wie man den Keilrippenriemen löst und später wieder drauf bekommt, ich müsste nur den wechseln finde aber keine Anleitung, kannst es vielleicht kurz beschreiben hier. Danke
+upsalei Hallo, Vorsicht, es gibt verschiedene Spanner. Bei der Ausführung mit Klima und Servolenkung sollte der automatische Spanner verbaut sein. Dieser wird einfach mit dem gezeigten Innenvierkantschlüssel zur Seite gedrückt. Schaue mal in das Video mit dem 1.6l 16 V, dort ist ein ähnlicher Spanner gezeigt, nur hat der eine normale Schraube. Es wäre gut zu wissen, wie ihr die Riemenscheibe gelöst habt. Nicht jeder besitzt einen Schlagschrauber hierfür.
Hallo, Du meinst die Antriebsscheibe des Keilriemens auf der Kurbelwelle. Ist bei diesem Modell nur mit drei M8 Schrauben fest. Kann also ganz leicht gelöst und abgenommen werden. Man braucht hierfür keinen Schlagschrauber. Viele Grüße, Jürgen

Der Zahnriemen sitzt viel zu fest. Man hört doch an diesem heulen, dass du als gut bezeichnet hast, dass die Spannrolle um erlösung bettelt.
Great video, but.... how to install ribbed belt using that stupid spring loaded dynamic tensioner??? it's a nightmare. Is there an easy way to do it?
And important thing is that I heard exactly same whining noise after timming belt replacement, Maby it's tensioned a bit too much, but after an our trying to identify the noise I took upper timing belt cover and found a tiny sliver on the belt, so i assume that it touches something somewhare. That's not a big deal. Just take this and that off. But once again.. I don't even want to think about that dynamic tensioner...last time I had to use a jack to make it work... If anyone has any ideas, please share with me.
Simonas Vaitkus Hi, you see my special tool with the 10 mm quare male in the video. I just compress the spring at the mounted tensioner and I put the belt on. Have a look to the new video with the cylinder head, At 2:10 and 31:40 you see the job.
I can't image, where the belt was touching something, but you should use a new belt now! Regards, Jürgen

And the belt is touching something with the inner edge (closer to the block). I can see a slight mark like 0,5mm or less, but that's enough to cause that whining.
irina25661 don't know whi, but the belt is covering that square hole (a half of it) so I can't insert anly tool there
Simonas Vaitkus The square hole is rather near to the belt, that's right This was the reason why I made my own tool, the male square socket I had bought for the job, was too thick.
But the belt shoudn't cover the hole, this is strange!
irina25661 Solved things out. Since no square heads fit properly I made a tool (as You sed). Took the tension wheel of and found slightly bent screw. That's whi the belt was in the way. Changed the screw and everything is like it should be. By the way, plastic T-belt cover had a crack - that's where the wining noise came from.

u probably check the oil by the same hole u fill it up with, when ur filling it, when the fluid starts dripping out the hole u stop and tighten the nut. Some automatic gearboxes might have dip sticks for them. late reply i know
