Thank you very much for this :).. You can wash if you want, but we advise against it. Caustics and Enzymes will destroy and hide over time. We do find that the best way to look after the dooka pads is to not look after them :).. If you do want to wash in the machine, we advise a cool wool/silk wash, a wool specific detergent, such as woolite and a gentle spin. We just pop our in the machine on a rinse only cycle and a gentle spin, 600-700 rpm, no detergents.
Thanks for your wash mitt/pads comprehensive review. I decided to order a few pads to have more fun when washing my car and avoid even more swirls. I ordered the new rag company cyclone 10 inch wash pad, the new dooka pad, and the adams pad.
I use the chenille wash sponges and find them brilliant , gets a lot of suds onto the car and hand wash it and lasting very week , very soft on the paint and the chances of dropping it are virtually zero
Great advice - thank you. Bought the rubbish chenille ones from Amazon before seeing your video (going back for a return today as there really isn't much chenille on the mitts). Going for the Adam's pad :)
Everyone pronounces Simoniz wrong. They used to have a rhyming ditty for marketing that went something like: Washing wise, use Simoniz It's pronounced as if there is an 'e' at the end. They have one or two OK products and I think you should include them in your comparison reviews as the 'well known, yet unfashionable option' to see how well the boutique option rates against big standard products. On the subject I reckon AutoSmart would also be a good inclusion for comparisons as 'a standard trade option'. Including both these brands as a kind of control would be a more informed comparison but it's your channel and an enjoyable one at that!
i think the synthetic wool mitt might have been autosmart but I wasnt 100% sure... I use a fair bit of autosmart stuff.. effective and great value... smart wheels. tardis, g101, high style etc.. all cool stuff
I'm just starting out cleaning my car from home. finding these hand wash mitts difficult to use. would you recommend using a long car mop/brush and if so which one?
Thank you soooooo much for all your videos & the amount of "detail" you put into them! You are the man for us ocd car nuts! Question: Do the chenille noodle mits & Adams wash pad release dirt when you scrub them on the grit guard? The micro fiber mits i have been using wont release the grime.
hey there... the microfiber holds onto dirt the most and doesnt release much on the guard.. thats one of the bad sides of the noodle... the adams wash pad lets go of the sort of loose dirt better... but you do get more debry caught in the adams... The pile height on the adams is about right... no longer than that. its a cool mitt... If you like the adams and you are really OCD check out the dooka.
meguiars is the least safer in your opnion and the natural wash mitt is the best? sorry for my misunderstand, i am brazilian and your english is a little dificult for me. Great video, and the video about the microfiber towel is great too!!
Hi Arthur.. Welcome great to have a viewer from Brazil :) Yes what you said is correct. Megs least best.. Deeper pile natural wash mitt better... Lots of good options though... The synthetic ones or the g technique ones...
Paragon have microfibre noodle wash mitts on their E bay shop for £20 for 10 including delivery got to be worth a punt at that price surely, I was going to buy some more kent ones that you recomend and i already own and as you said they are very good but they are around £5.00 a go.
I have ordered some of their premium micro fibre cloths so I think I will bang an order In for 10 of those mitts, with 6 of those who needs a two bucket method? one mitt for each section of car = clean suds bucket.Just need to find a way of marking them up so I know which ones are for the dirty bits then give them a good clean between washes OCD fix sorted.
Missing the chemical guys chenille wash mitt in the list. I rate it highly, use it once a week, holds a lot of product, very soft, best thing rinses extremely well during the wash against the grit guard, low maintenance high quality product

Purchased the Adams pad upon your recommendation and I have to say its fantastic thanks for the review mate 👍
I tend to use cheap microfiber mits on wheels. I’m not too worried about scratching them.
I use the chenille wash sponges and find them brilliant , gets a lot of suds onto the car and hand wash it and lasting very week , very soft on the paint and the chances of dropping it are virtually zero
cheers for taking the time for making this video !
+Ditmar zwiggelaar cheers Ditmar... Really appreciate that.

+Ditmar zwiggelaar well worth having this product I think... It lives up to all the good hype...
+Forensic Evaluations its not hyped here tbh bet 90% of the detailers never heard of dooka

with all these "best of xxx" reviews you are costing me a fortune in kit replacement!
this ones very old robert I think nowadays my top 3 are dooka, carpro wool mitt, and incredipad small :)
The adams washpad is what exactly i use, have done for the last 5 years i'm on my 2nd set of two.
its a nice mitt isnt it.. nice and thick and able to hold a lot of product... lasts forever... and you can treat it mean and it stays keen! :)
Great Video. I often use CG's green towel, course it's cheap and acceptable.
Thanks for that, just ordered the Adams wash pad.

What about the Meguiars lambswool wash mitt? are the safe to use on soft paint? thanks
yes but the other lambswool options.. in particular the dooka are better...
I love the noodle mitts, cheap and durable
im not so keen nowadays but totally agree cheap and durable and still can be used safely enough..
How durable Dooka washpad is? I have MM mit at the moment. Is dooka step up?
the mm incredimitt is excellent.. really good.. safe smooth durable holds lots of subs..
the dooka is very durable.. try one out saul....
A question. How about Zymol's wash sponge. It is very strange! Please tell us about that sponge~
i dont know of it mate sorry
Already learn a lot.Thx! You're profesional expert in detailing.
synthetic are safer than noodle ones right ?
its honestly more down to how you use them and personal preferences. both of those are safe in my opinion.. its less about the material
Hiya Jon.
Obviously this being 4 years old now, what mit do you use now?
I'm looking at getting a new one and still undecided.
