I got the autoglym fast glass and honestly blew me away. Never really occurred to me how much better it would be but it's incredible. I got the screenwash to match and have never been happier with my glass
That is a superb result for autobrite. When their sale is on this stuff is cheap as chips, there's a reason I've used it for around 10 years now. It just works! There's a big jump to second place though so may have to try some Koch next time an order goes in. Excellent testing Jon, back to the older days of the channel. Others I would have added (and I know its a limit!) would be the Wurth can spray and the PowerMaxed. Both really good cleaners. But might have added another dimensions to the testing (the Wurth one for certain)..
Missed the Sonax Glass Cleaner. Especially the older with the green solution in the bottle. It clings nice and is a great benefit for the interior glass. On the outside I use Angelwax Vision but can't stand the smell when doing the interior glass. It's a multi purpose glass cleaner Scholl ICE. It's outstanding on the interior glass for me. Clings awesome and reduce any fog build up as well. Have not been testing it just for this but it's leaves a hydrophobic surface after it. And last it works to remove fresh water spots. I bought a 5L on a sale and just fill up an old bottle with it as the sprayer and bottle is great. Also the cleaning ability and that it flashes of good is also impresive for what it is. Know it's just not a glass cleaner so it's not a product for this test. But Scholl ICE is an impresive product that it's great to have with you in the car in your arsenal. I will look up Koch Chemie and Autoglanze and see how they are for me. Haveing a domestic brand that sell 500ml concentrated glass cleaner that in 1:10 cleans as good as AW Vision for me. It's cleaning ability is really good and the bang for the buck gets great. As I pay about the same for the concentrated before diluting it that I do for the AW Vision. Awesome video and thanks to everyone in it!
Just finished 5l of Autobrite Crystal, £25 delivered to buy it again on sale, but bought 5+1 litre of Nilglass on ebay for £16. Seriously cheap and it's a fantastic product. Thanks for the recommendation.
Delighted to see my recommendation ( bouncers) in the test. Very decent placing too. As for the video love it John. Thanks for keeping us detailers informed
To be honest, ease of access is a big point for me when it comes to things like glass cleaners. As I don't have a detailing specific store anywhere near me, like some others do, that makes a huge difference. I know that Autobrite have now moved into Halfords, but you will NEVER get their frequent discounts in Halfords. So it's a hard one really.
cracking video Jon. I highly recommend AM Glass (£9.95) and Infinity Wax Spotless (£8.99), those give very good results and cost effective. Gyeon Glass is usually used around the house and Stoners kept in reserve for emergency use. Been testing a few ABD products lately, so will add Crystal to the shopping list. Also using the right MF towel makes a big difference, short nap, or waffle weave work for me. 👍
Thanks Jon for your time and reviews. In the Hartland (States) I like to use non ammonia free or Tint safe is Invisible Glass. Or special mixtures, one is White Vinegar & Distilled water and the the is IPA with distilled water. Don't over think it, the more you spend on chemicals, the less money that goes into your pocket!
Wow - glass cleaning is a chore anyway! Great effort testing all of these, much appreciated! I started off with Meguiar's - was happy ish but just was a touch pricey for the look and feel of the product. I swapped to Koch Chemie, never felt the need to try any thing else - I'd just become a bit of a KC fanboy and wanted to try it. I actually place the trigger and bottle quality really high ... hate those little triggers like on Angle Wax and Auto Finesse used to use (not now)
Conspicous by its absence is Garage Therapy, I wonder how that would have faired. Great to see one of these long form test videos again, always enjoyable to watch.
You've mentioned in previous videos, when people clean there glass, it's not actually clean. I agree completely. I personally like to clean glass multiple times, as if you look carefully on your glass cloths you'll still find a considerable about of dirt. For this reason I use the cheapest GC I can find and clean a few times go get best results. As I've bought a few of these expensive products listed and had the same result.
I've moved most of my spray products in to flairosol bottles, they are amazing. Product I need to dose out loads of product are in pump sprayers and the rest are in flairosols.
I use dawn heavily diluted in d.i water.. it costs almost nothing, leaves no residue and makes me money without spending any so that's that. the idea that one needs to clean glass with a 10 to 20 dollar bottle of dedicated glass cleaner is ludacris . There are also dozens of quick detailers that you can get gallons of for the same price as one of these tiny bottles of glass cleaner. which also clean glass for pennies on the dollar. I'd rather use that and increase profit margin. if you're a detail hobbyist who just wants the best lineup of products for a specific purpose, by all means go ahead and spend money on it to say you have it. but it's not necessary to spend big money for 12 oz of product when you don't need to. great testing as always. keep it up. next test of possible include a concoction one can make themselves for cheap to go up against products like these. I would have loved to see Dawn diluted going up against the glass cleaners. again. dilute it enough and it won't streak at all and still leave amazing results. 😉
Great review on so many products WELL DONE! I've been using Nilglass for more years than I can remember havig picked it up in an Auto accessories shop at the recommendation of one of the employees - never looked back although at times it was difficult to source. Thankfully now it is readily available and the 5 itre refill is great as the BOSS uses it for the windows and mirrors in the house!
loving the results found here, i was suprised by the Meguiars standing on the list as i much preferred that over autoglym personally as i often found the autoglym much harder to properly remove (maybe it was a different product around the 10 years ago mark or i must have been using the wrong cleaning cloths i will have to assume ) whereas the megs that replaced it would remove so much easier with the same cleaning cloths etc. i have since moved onto the Angelwax Vision & was impressed by that for how well it cleaned things ( as you mentioned though, the trigger does mean you have to be close to get good product dosing on the glass - especially if there is any hint of wind about lol ), & im glad the Bouncer's got as high as it did as i have a bottle of that to try out at some point in the future thanks to the 1 mystery box i have so far received ( still waiting on a few more to get sent out/received yet mind ) i have recently tried out Dodo Juice Clearly Menthol on the works van & was very impressed with it ( so impressed i actually cleaned as much glass as i could on the works premises with it as it was so effortless ) so it would be nice to see some of that in the line-up for the next run of this series ( the Dodo Juice Max Pane glass spray sealant stuff seems to work well too from the little bit of rain we have had since it was applied to the works van side windows incase there is ever a glass sealant showdown - got the cheaper / lower speed - less durable Glaco stuff to try out too as well as some Dodo Juice Supernatural Glass Sealant / Bouncer's Drop&Roll - when you can find someone who stocks it as its no longer on bouncers website - the Meguiars glass sealant has just been replaced after 2+ years of happy use with the Glaco Ultra stuff you recently recommended - i still have wiper judder though so new Bosch blades are in the post as i type which will hopefully cure that ) will have to pick up a bottle of the Koch Chemie glass cleaner though when i next frequent the detailing shop i stumbled on nearby to work & see how that stacks up too as i have so far been reasonably impressed with the Protection Wax & Gentle Snow Foam from them.
I saw a recommendation for Nilco nilglas on detailing world and thought I'd give it a try. It's been a couple of years and I haven't looked back. A worthy winner in my eyes.
Stoner's Invisible Glass used to be my favourite, but now I'm using Griot's Glass cleaner, although Turtle Wax products are also good. It's also worth using a Ceramic glass polish after the cleaner.
John, I just love your videos pal. They provide relaxed, real world advice to all us weekend warrior amateurs and often make me chuckle along with you when you go off on one 🤣. In the last month I’ve spent a small blinking fortune on your recommended products and rewatch your videos to make sure I’m using them properly. My wife got a proper shock the other day when she saw her car looking like a Ford B Max meringue when I used my MJJC snow cannon and Touchless for the first time. Great results BTW in less than ideal conditions (it started raining just after I’d worked out my PIR 🙄). With this video on glass cleaners, I must admit I cut to the end to see the winner and immediately went on Amazon and bought 5 Litres of Nilco H3 for only £13.99. I’ll watch the whole video later - promise 👍🏻. I very rarely comment on RUclips but, in your case, I felt compelled to say thank you. Our local scratch-and- go car wash has put their prices up to the point that it would cost us £40 to get both cars cleaned every 4-6 weeks. I can now do them both, much better I may say, for less than a fiver and a bit of (now enjoyable) effort 😁. Cheers John 🍺
16:30 Worth mentioning about Carpro, if you buy the 1 ltr bottle it comes with a much better spray trigger- very similar to the Auto Bright direct 17:40 but doesn't leak, its adjustable to create different types of mist depending on application. The trigger spray head has an area that rests on the soft part between your index finger and thumb to take the extra weight of a 1ltr bottle. The price per litre also makes sense to buy in bulk saving you a fair few quid, also I use it in the home and any glass surface, it lasts ages. So all isn't lost if you like Carpro, they should include this trigger on the 500ml bottles.
very nice test, but i have few suggestions: - first, no sonax? their glass cleaner is probably one of their best sold products, should be interesting to see how it goes. from my experience, it does really well, just like their other products (car shampoo, bug remover, wheel cleaner etc). - second, it would be nice to set up dirt for simulating, so it does contains kind of true life scenario, specially now in summer (burn in bugs, bird poo etc). just let few guys run their cars on the highway for a while, for example. - third, i think best test for just true cleaning abilities is to pour all liquids into same non branded sprayers, so you exclude placebo effect by the bottle design (which probably does play big role when buying also).
I backed Autoglanz for a top 3. Not too far off. Bought 5ltr for £25 so stonking value. would have had that over Autoglym which I have used for years. Currently do a 50/50 mix with Mr muscle..can't fault it👍
Wow Jon, great video 👍. But missing a few that detailers actually use. Polish Angel Cristal Agent & Megs D120. PA is not cheap, but the best. And Megs D120 mixed with DI water is fantastic VFM.
It would be interesting to see whether the different ways of cleaning glass matter. E.g. using a Magic eraser as shown by Apex Details. Whether glass cloths are worth it, etc. How many buffs. For me the most common problem is streaking, particularly troublesome when the sun is shining through the windscreen. Do any of these methods/tools affect this?
I use ONR at standard dilution. Cuts all film, leaves glass crystal clear….and I think the polymers help to clean glass easier each time it needs to be redone. Just my thoughts, use the stuff you like.
Really wish a panel prep like Eraser and especially just a super cheap IPA/water mix was in this test. That’s my glass cleaner 90% of the time. But I enjoyed the video, thanks! 👍
I'm nearly finished my bottle of angelwax's vision, but I don't think I'll get it again. Its a great cleaner and everything, but bloody hell it's very potent. It really gets up your nose when doing the interior glass.
Great review Jon, I've used the Meguiars for a while, thought it was great until now, just tried Nilglass and found a huge difference. Just got a good bulk deal, thats me sorted until next year 👍
I bought a brand new CX-5. I have not been impressed with the glass, it seemed like a cheap quality glass that felt un smooth and a struggle to clean. I recently gave it a hand polish using Autoglym glass polish and the difference was amazing. Then added a coat of Rain X water repellant. I am stunned at how beautiful it now looks and super smooth. It was all a simple process that took me only about 1.5 hours. I can now simply clean it with my Maguires glass cleaner and reapply the Rain X every few months. That will only take about 20 minutes. I can very highly recommend using a simple glass polish then a coat of water repellant like Rain X.
Nilglass used to be about £3 a litre in B & Q. Great bottle and spray head and a great glass cleaner. Flashes quickly with zero streaks. To be honest, just about all glass cleaners work well as does ONR @ 1:256.
I use Auto Glym Fast Glass and have to agree the triggers are not great intact the whole range seems to struggle with blowing through if you use too much force🤣 cracking content 👏
Proves my point of glass cleaners... 5% garbage - it's hard to mess up a glass cleaner formula. 90% much of a muchness. 5% standout way above the rest.
@@SUPERSID1968 I have a lot of that AD Crystal. But I also like the Powermaxed Glass - the aqua blue one. I use this for my glass table in my garden too, I find it really fast acting. Fantastic against tree sap and dried on dust.
Kar Kraft (USA) made the best glass cleaner i have ever used. Back in the mid 90's to 2006 ish, it was the best. Sadly they are no longer in business it seems, and unable to this day to find a glass cleaner that compares.
Pleased Autoglym Fast Glass faired well as I have been using by default since the 90's! Have been tempted to try Look Sharp as I've not tried a bad Bouncers product and there are some gems in the range. Would like to have seen a Car-chem product in the test as for value products they are another go to.
ONR standard solution with a glass waffle weave towel then wiped dry with a Gyeon towel will make all of these cleaners obsolete It’s like someone removed the glass
I’ve used Nilco Nilglas for several years, and found it to be amazing, however I’ve also started to use a product not in this test, which I really like, it is Sam’s Detailing glass cleaner, which is in my opinion very, very good 😊.
From those I’ve tried I always went back to auto finesse, using aenso at the moment but I don’t find it quite so easy to use. Will be going for one of your podium places next time I need
so Jon only outside glass tested ?, what about inside, my go to for out side is gotta be rainX 2in1, and IPA for inside but if these window tint I use a mix of IPA and baby shampoo works a treat , good on you Jon very touchy subject 👍
You can get a 5 litre bottle of Nilglass for less than £15 Jon, that's nothing short of amazing for such a great product of any kind! £14.47 on eBay and that's including delivery! 😂😂
Instead of spending money on glass cleaners, just go to your local grocery store or pharmacy and buy the green colored (it's green because it has a little wintergreen essential oil) 50% rubbing alcohol. Buy a couple, and pour into an empty spray bottle. Works better than anything. Just not in sunlight... You'll be amazed
Great Video John, very good viewing interestingly I found Koch Chemie a good cleaner but then again I do like their products. I’ve had Anglewax really not a fan the stench is just to strong. I bought 5 litres of Autobright crystal in of their sales a few months back for £17 👍
That was a fun video. Thanks Jon! Have you thought about making a brand review of Yum Cars products? The owner Nick is a lovely guy to deal with and the products are top notch if a bit expensive. Other glass cleaners worth considering for reviewing are Yum Glass, AutoSmart Glass Clear, Valet Pro Glass Cleaner, Bear Car Care Clarion, and EcoTouch Window Clear. All strong glass cleaning products also.
I HATE glass cleaning, Jon. Thanks for taking the time to post and share this. I've tried so many of these damn cleaners. I must have $200 in towels. Argh!!
The Effort , The details, the time - that you put in the video content is amazing. Plus we get a comparison of products that usually don't appear in many reviews since they are in different categories -either DIY-prosumer-etc - so how to compare in case they happen to be at same price point
WoW you are still giving attention to comments on an year old video . Thank you :) you're awesome Please add products like Turtle wax glass and dash cleaner .. Thanks TW green and hybric pro series are available in India, Carpro and meguires too . carpro appears to costly though - even if I got the cquartz ceramic done 5 years ago on black punto- I am not sure of product every one of which it appears cost 1600INR , and we would need 4-5 products to make a set for self detailing.
yes mate. I want you to know. Guys like yourself, EG the positive, kind, friendly people that post nice things. You are literally THE reason I do this. without guys like yourself watching I would not be doing this. Thank you for being awesome.
Up until now, I've just been using ONR. Would love to see you put it head to head with the Top 3 here. What I'm gathering here is maybe glass cleaners aren't that important, and it's the towel and technique that is?
In my opinion, AG glass polish far exceeds most I've tried! Removes nicotine, vape, smearing etc etc. I've ditched the the sprays for the glass polish. Apply, leave to haze (while doing the other windows) then buff off. As you buff off, it leaves the glass feeling slick, doesn't drag causing lint to be left behind and much easier than wiping a fluid. Also use it on exterior glas, propanol wipe down and it's perfect for glass sealant. I'm gutted this wasn't included in the test as it's the best! Unfortunately I won't watch this video and I know they aren't a patch.
Hi mate, nv clarity is their iso prep wipe not a glass cleaner (apologies if you note this, writing as watching) . They have said they are releasing a dedicated glass cleaner next year I think
great test, but no dought there is brand bias it would have been great to give it out as a blind test ( all in the same spray bottle with no name on it and you be the one to test the triggers ect
Interesting test and a few thoughts, does the cost test matter if the results are poor? If it doesn’t do the job then it’s not worth any price. I’ve been a gtechniq fan boy for a few years but their glass product isn’t good, it leaves smears and hazing all over and you have to buff like a manic to get a finish - I’ve stopped using it and gone back to the Autoglym glass polish. I’ve had the autoglym for years and it cuts through the black smutz on the inside of glass and crystal clear on the outside. The difference as a driver is the clarity through the glass with no hazing or smearing visible in the sun. One of the other tests could have been white vinegar mix if you’ve include household products.
Actually found a bad one a few years ago, Dodo Juice Menthol (I think it was called). Struggled with really heavy filmed interior glass. Currently using Mr Muscle Platinum as it was in the house when my Look Sharp ran out, really impressed with it, probably not trendy to admit that.
How long have I been banging on about Nilglass Jon? In the comments section of videos and in your Patreon Community section, told you it was good didn't I! 😂 I won't buy expensive glass cleaners, why? Because they are a waste of money. Almost any cleaner will work well if you gently use it with superfine wire wool but I've used Nilglass for about 15 years I'd say and I won't be changing any time soon. I'd bet that your own personal panel wipe mix would work well too Jon, shame you didn't include it in this test just out of interest. I'd like to have seen how that compared to actual glass cleaners. I posted this BEFORE I saw the final result and I have to say I'm like a dog with 2 tails, over the moon! IT WON! 😂😂😂
I picked up some demonshine glass cleaner in Halfords £3 for a litre. I just need something and that was cheap enough for around the house. Has been better to use than my isopropyl mix. It has anti misting that actually works. My only complaint with this video was the lack of sniffage.
@@Simb-l im using chem x heavy duty.. but any degreaser will work, just dont put it too much or it will hard to wipe of the residue.. i put only around 10-15ml degreaser for a 500ml ipa water solution.
Very informative and useful. Would have been interesting to see if the price had been nomralized to 10pts and products put in groups of like 2, 5, 7, and 10 because getting it seemed like price kind of skewed the results a bit. If there's $5 difference between two bottles of glass cleaner, I'm not too concerned considering how long a bottle lasts.
hmm thats a good question mate. most modern ones the element is in the glass isnt it? if its exposed you could just use a glass cleaner. alcohol based stuff shouldnt harm the element.
I've never gotten a Carpro product with that kind of trigger, and I've bought several bottles of Clarify. Have had a couple leak (not on clarify), but otherwise generally very good triggers on their stuff. Not sure why it's a totally different trigger in the UK
Not the Angelwax product as it contains ammonia but any of the i’d imagine would be fine. If in doubt go extra cautious and use the bouncers that can be diluted 👍
Definitely not the Angelwax, ask me how I know. I made the mistake of watching a Pan the Organizer video where he said its safe on tints, bought it and it completely ruined it.
Back to doing what I first started following you for! Epic Jon comparisons! Watch this…other detailing media will soon have glass cleaner videos on their page - think they follow the big man and copy!
Well done Jon, WELL DONE! I can easily imagine just how much effort this took to produce and I very much appreciate it. Also it's nice that the cleaner I use won the test (when it needs more than onr to get it clean anyway). I love it when you do this sort of content, you do it better than anyone else.
That Sunset Orange 8 series really popped in the sunlight ( 21:34 ) - it's a beautiful car, should try and get that on the channel more often ... Mat Watson got loads of likes on his Insta every time he posted the 8 series long termer!
I got the autoglym fast glass and honestly blew me away. Never really occurred to me how much better it would be but it's incredible. I got the screenwash to match and have never been happier with my glass
And it is currently £6.99 for a 500ml bottle in Halfords
This channel is becoming my 'go to' for buying products now. Fantastic comparison, thank you

Wurth in the spray can is the best I've found. Also chemical guys ceramic is good. Used to use rain-x 2in1 but getting hard to find.
The Wurth - Excellent cleaner but the overspray is not great and uncontrolled given the spray foam format
I’m trying wurth next, straight into the cloth as not to overspray 👌🏻🫥
@@seandavies386 it's a foaming spray. You need to spray the surface else it's pointless. The foaming action is the key. Useless on a cloth.
How funny, I use Würth on my work van, its a good glass cleaner. I so use the interior spray for the dash and plastics from a can format too 👍
To be honest, ease of access is a big point for me when it comes to things like glass cleaners.

Same. It and Gyeon are the only lines I carry and work with. It simplifies things…..
For me ONR diluted 1:30 is overall the best. But for heavy stuff, Strovels Glasrent just unbeatable, but only for people who don't feel scents 🤭
Conspicous by its absence is Garage Therapy, I wonder how that would have faired. Great to see one of these long form test videos again, always enjoyable to watch.

Infinity Wax Spotless is what I use and it has the same spray trigger head as the Koch Chemie one👍🏻

i have since moved onto the Angelwax Vision & was impressed by that for how well it cleaned things ( as you mentioned though, the trigger does mean you have to be close to get good product dosing on the glass - especially if there is any hint of wind about lol ), & im glad the Bouncer's got as high as it did as i have a bottle of that to try out at some point in the future thanks to the 1 mystery box i have so far received ( still waiting on a few more to get sent out/received yet mind )
i have recently tried out Dodo Juice Clearly Menthol on the works van & was very impressed with it ( so impressed i actually cleaned as much glass as i could on the works premises with it as it was so effortless ) so it would be nice to see some of that in the line-up for the next run of this series ( the Dodo Juice Max Pane glass spray sealant stuff seems to work well too from the little bit of rain we have had since it was applied to the works van side windows incase there is ever a glass sealant showdown - got the cheaper / lower speed - less durable Glaco stuff to try out too as well as some Dodo Juice Supernatural Glass Sealant / Bouncer's Drop&Roll - when you can find someone who stocks it as its no longer on bouncers website - the Meguiars glass sealant has just been replaced after 2+ years of happy use with the Glaco Ultra stuff you recently recommended - i still have wiper judder though so new Bosch blades are in the post as i type which will hopefully cure that )
will have to pick up a bottle of the Koch Chemie glass cleaner though when i next frequent the detailing shop i stumbled on nearby to work & see how that stacks up too as i have so far been reasonably impressed with the Protection Wax & Gentle Snow Foam from them.

Thx mark appreciate it m8
You're not the hero we deserve, BUT THE HERO WE NEED!
So all isn't lost if you like Carpro, they should include this trigger on the 500ml bottles.
very nice test, but i have few suggestions:
- first, no sonax? their glass cleaner is probably one of their best sold products, should be interesting to see how it goes. from my experience, it does really well, just like their other products (car shampoo, bug remover, wheel cleaner etc).
Currently do a 50/50 mix with Mr muscle..can't fault it👍
Why do you mix window cleaner with window cleaner if I don’t mind me asking?
@@jeyomcnugget9584 Due to Autoglanz being so strong It just adds to the effectiveness of Mr muscle and provide more bang per buck so to speak.
@@mdg-1343 interesting concept! Thanks for sharing
Good job as always. All the quest reviewers were pros on the presentation!
What a fantastic video.
.I'll go for the Koch chemie myself.
.keep up the excellent work Jon.
Like people who comment on RUclips!
Which glass cleaner do you recommend detailing and the beast 🤔
ONR standard solution with a glass waffle weave towel then wiped dry with a Gyeon towel will make all of these cleaners obsolete
It’s like someone removed the glass
I would of had Garage Therapy in there as well and Sansom speedy. Both work really well and the Sansom works out at £6 per litre if you buy in bulk.
Koch Chemie are killing the game with their range
How Ive missed a good old forensic detailing test!
Would you also do the testing using ONR next time?👋👍Thank you!
Love these comparison tests... thanks Jon.
💥 This video should take the crown as the ultimate car ‘Glasses Guide’ 💥 Well done to all involved 👍🏼😎
Always used Clearly Menthol. Best I’ve found over the years.
Going to give the Nilco a go. And it’s cheap on Amazon. £13 for 5 litres.
I bought a litre Jackass
You're a mad man John!
And i like that!
Great Video John, very good viewing interestingly I found Koch Chemie a good cleaner but then again I do like their products. I’ve had Anglewax really not a fan the stench is just to strong. I bought 5 litres of Autobright crystal in of their sales a few months back for £17 👍
Been using the G Technique Perfect Glass fir the last 5 or so years. It does everything I need and really easy to use
Crc /wurth/industrial aerosol foams. Are effective with Coffee paper filter . And dodojuice clearly menthol.
Fast Glass £5 a litre if you buy a 5 litre container, then use a spray bottle of your own choosing. Works for me. Whatever you buy, buy bulk.
Not all brands want their products critiqued
Thanks for the video. I'll use this list the next time I buy a glass cleaner for the car 👍
Thank you :) you're awesome
Please add products like Turtle wax glass and dash cleaner .. Thanks
TW green and hybric pro series are available in India, Carpro and meguires too . carpro appears to costly though - even if I got the cquartz ceramic done 5 years ago on black punto- I am not sure of product every one of which it appears cost 1600INR , and we would need 4-5 products to make a set for self detailing.
I personally use the sonax xtreme glass cleaner, so good, I am surprised you did not test it!!
Fantastic and incredibly in depth review. Thank you
Hi mate, nv clarity is their iso prep wipe not a glass cleaner (apologies if you note this, writing as watching) . They have said they are releasing a dedicated glass cleaner next year I think
I think Koch Chemie would be my pick, it's more widely available so you can probably cop the standard 10% discount on most sites which closes the gap.
Use Adams Brilliant Glaze on the inside to break down off gassing residue
great test, but no dought there is brand bias it would have been great to give it out as a blind test ( all in the same spray bottle with no name on it and you be the one to test the triggers ect
Would have liked to see EZ Clarity trialled, I use it and very happy with it
Interesting test and a few thoughts, does the cost test matter if the results are poor?
I use sprayaway in an aerosol. Cheap and effective.
P&S best over all I haven’t ever used it. But base I test. I think best over all
How long have I been banging on about Nilglass Jon?
My only complaint with this video was the lack of sniffage.
i make mine with heavy dilution of degreaser + isopropyl, it works great and strong enough to remove any contamination on the glass..
@@harisyoung4110 do you use surfex hdin the mix?
@@Simb-l im using chem x heavy duty.. but any degreaser will work, just dont put it too much or it will hard to wipe of the residue.. i put only around 10-15ml degreaser for a 500ml ipa water solution.
Elbow grease glass clear. £1 for 330ml and it works better than anything I have ever used, and I suffer with dog slobber on my windows.
You've been watching weird films again Jon haven't you! Looking forward to this one - let's GOOOOOOOO!
Greased lightning is one of the best value ones I've used
Very informative and useful.
The bottle that the turtle wax is in is exactly the same bottle that Koh household cleaner use and my wife loves that spray bottle
Any recommendations on cleaning the inside of a rear windscreen with heating element?
hmm thats a good question mate. most modern ones the element is in the glass isnt it? if its exposed you could just use a glass cleaner. alcohol based stuff shouldnt harm the element.
I've never gotten a Carpro product with that kind of trigger, and I've bought several bottles of Clarify. Have had a couple leak (not on clarify), but otherwise generally very good triggers on their stuff. Not sure why it's a totally different trigger in the UK
Which of the glass cleaner can be used on tinted glass
Not the Angelwax product as it contains ammonia but any of the i’d imagine would be fine. If in doubt go extra cautious and use the bouncers that can be diluted 👍
Megs D120
Any glass cleaner without ammonia in it is safe for tinted windows. For me the best glass cleaner for tinted windows is Stoner Invisible glass
You can also get the autoglym fast glass in 5 ltr and it last u yrs and it very cost affective
Koch Chemie always worked great for me
Well done Jon, WELL DONE! I can easily imagine just how much effort this took to produce and I very much appreciate it.
Also it's nice that the cleaner I use won the test (when it needs more than onr to get it clean anyway).
I love it when you do this sort of content, you do it better than anyone else.
Nv car care clarity from Australia 🇦🇺 for me
That Sunset Orange 8 series really popped in the sunlight ( 21:34 ) - it's a beautiful car, should try and get that on the channel more often ... Mat Watson got loads of likes on his Insta every time he posted the 8 series long termer!
Best glass cleaner for me is the infinity wax one its brilliant.
I’ve found carpro eraser to work best even though it’s not a dedicated glass cleaner.
You may not agree with the result or question the methodology, but you must admire the dedication and effort that went into making this video.
With the price of diesel I can’t afforddetailing anymore I only use turtle wax seal and shine also to clean the glass
I can’t believe you didn’t have Renny Doyle Paint Prep/Glass Cleaner. It’s the best cleaner available.
John is the soft 99 mist not an interior cleaner? I don't think it's ment for glass?
