This was great to watch. I've been using the Turtle Wax "To The Max Wax" for 2 years now. It does so well. I maintain it with their flex wax and it just holds up so well. After 8 months, I cleared off the paint, light polish to clear some embedded containments, and re applied. I have found it easier to remove on a humid day. The wet rag really did it's job and it buffed ever so nicely on a warmer humid day.

I'm glad the Turtle Wax did well. I took a punt on it in Halfrauds a few months back when I had some vouchers to use up.
Based on my own experience vs other sealants I've used, I'd score it higher for application cos it's less likely to smear than others (more noticeable on black paint) and seems a lot more forgiving.
I agree with the durability tho. Best product I've ever used in terms of still beading several weeks after being washed and it even keeps the car cleaner for longer as a lot of the dirt washes off when it rains.
    Expensive but worth it...

The best for me is one that takes less time & is cost effective for the effort used to apply - it then gets used more often.
Mcguires ceramic pro is my go to in our cold rainy climate of the Pacific Northwest. Some of the products here are great but they don't meet my requirements. Chem Guys ceramic wash and M27 is my go to - thanks for the great video.

Great to see a big comparison Jon - it’s a big part of the channel’s appeal. You could tell there was a lot of info to get across so well done, good overlay shots. Surprised there wasn’t marks for the bottles….? Not really a user of liquid waxes but of those i’d go Bilt Hamber - EZ Nardo cream wax is a top top product. Not durable but lovely to apply and buff with great beadage 👌

I have experience with two, the Jescar and Collinite. Glad my predictions were close. I knew, with a fair amount of confidence that Jescar would fair well if not best in durability. It lasted 6 months for me with minimal care through last winter season. I also knew the Collinute would fair bad in application. There are nearly endless threads out there on forums with subject lines like "how to apply Collinite" then a few lines below that "how to apply collonite waxes". You can read both, and see two people with two completely different experiences and tips. Sometumes contradicting one another. I will say this. The end result is worth the struggle. But never before have I worked with products that are influenced by weather as much as Collinite. Humidity means leaving it on uncomfortably long sometimes and you get nervous because you remember the last time you used it, it was cooler and dryer, and if you left it on that long then you would be cursing yourself with the removal. Be careful with their products, but once you figure it out, well, I can see why it has been around as long as it has been and hasn't changed much. It works. And it works well.

    4, Meguiars
    5, Collenite
    6, Bilt Hamber & Adams

    Nice informative video.
One can determine from your test that some products may be good for people who maintain their vehicles on a regular basis , where the durability might suffer but the ease of use and gloss make it an ideal choice for regular use.
Other products like the jescar offer long term protection if you are at a loss for time or just want a product you can apply less frequently.
I haven’t tried the new jescar yet , but I do use the powerlock plus with collinite as a topper.
After applying the jescar allow it to cure a couple hours before applying the collinite.
It would be interesting to see how you get on with that combination.

The product missing from the test is Poorboys world EX-P. Would be awesome to see that included. Also, in a prior video, I belive John while talking about Sonax BSD said «probably be best to treat it as a proper sealant». With that in mind it would be fun if it was included in this test. Applied by applicator, not spray.

The sealant I've been using is Optimun Opti-Seal.
Once I figured out that I needed to let the majority of the product flash away before leveling, it made a huge difference in performance. I had been very disappointed in it for years before I figured it out! 😆
I applied Opti-Seal to my trunk lid back in late May of 2022, and it's still hanging on, surprisingly. I made a video on my "Dan Chapa" channel of its then current performance back in September.

Thanks for another great comparo. The one thing I'd like to see you add to protection product reviews is some comments and footage on jetting and filling, even if you don't score them. You're the master on gloss, and it may be the only looks factor that can be measured objectively, but jetting and gloss are very big looks factors too-more important for me personally in choosing my protection products. You did this with Siramik Lustrous compared to the "market-leading" competitor, and in your glaze comparo, and maybe others. I'd just like to see it covered at least minimally with all protection products.

Prices vary considerably around the world; for example, Meguiars is apparently substantially cheaper here in the US than it is in the UK and some of the products that you show as good values are really expensive in the US.I think it would be nicer if you rated products first on perforance and then had a best buy list at the end that contemplated prices in the UK.

You could possibly do a total before price is factored in (a sub-total) and then add in the price/value points at the end. And it could be based on UK and those outside of the UK could then better see the results (sub-total) before price is factored in.

I am planning to wipe car with high alkaline shampoo, wax off product and a degreaser for clean paintwork for another EGP. If I use this strong wipe products should I still use Super Resin Polish before EGP? (My paintwork is 7 yo Lexus, paintwork has no problems as for now). I will use resin polish for reapply, but should I use it for clean paintwork? Is EGP mix of sealant and wax or it is liquid wax?

What I have to say in the comments... not much really... if you want some sort of product and don't know what to choose, then you simply go to forensic experts on detailing and buy the product that wins, or that ticks one of your boxes... literally it is that easy. Your videos just makes it so easy to choose what to buy I almost feel like I am cheating!

@@ForensicDetailing And I don't mean it light heartedly.
I started detailing like 8 years ago and it was hard... I would spend hours even days researching products... didn't make many mistakes in the end, but it took very long time for sure... now I watch 10 min video and all the answers I may have had are answered!
As well even back then there were detailing videos, but key issue is that all videos are basically "here is scratched and dirty car, here is the products I have used (if you lucky), here is the same car now shiny"... no explanation of why those products were used, or whenever they better than other products.
And I am detailing for myself, I don't make money out of it, so I simply can't buy 10 products to sample. What I can do... I can watch your video, apply some knowledge from products I have used in the past to put it in context and I right away know which one I will pick.
      Honestly this is gold!
