    You guys rock. I have a lot of hobbies and follow a lot of people/channels from various hobbies. And I’m very picky and can tell when someone knows what they’re talking about. I like how you dispel myths, myths I see other LARGE detailing channels still regurgitate. Yvan knows his stuff and I can tell his thinking is nuanced and comes from a place of true passion. I’m a very detailed observer and listener and I know when someone’s truly passionate. I consider myself a fairly advanced detailer hobbyist but Yvan you’ve taught me a lot. Keep the detailed explanations going! Nick is great too following in those footsteps. Love the history lessons too.

Just a few products that do a great job at what they’re designed to do. Makes it much easier and less overwhelming for me as a guy who’s just getting into more serious detailing of my cars.

    A great video indeed, and i agree about the overwhelming choice of many products on the market, i just bought my first new car and trying to wash it without damaging the paint, just bought your sponge, never tryed rinsless wash, i am a little worried about this metod as all seniors in my family thought me the 2 bucket method, but i am sure that it will be a great addition to my slowly growing detailing collection! These chat sessions remind me of my teenage years listening to older racers talk in the shop. The amount of knowledge passed around was priceless. In my opinion the rinseless wash is the most efficient method. You do not have to fill and clean out the foam cannon. You do not have to clean up the pressure washer cord. You do not have to wash and dry all those wash mitts too. You do not have to use a “drying lubricant “ either.
    Thank you for this session as I truly enjoyed the message.

    I've been using the chenille style for years. I believe I use a product called the Wash Stick. I got it off Amazon a number of years back. It's a chenille style wash pad that velcros and snaps onto a telescoping pole and I really like it! I was actually looking at upgrading to the one that Autofiber offers, they have the chenille style and what they call dragon plush which is more like the wash mitts you guys offer. I have never thought about creating pressure points with the chenille style before so I think I'll be making a switch. I'm sure you'd have to do some market research and cost analysis, but have you thought of putting a wash media on a stick? I'm kinda short, 5' 8", and I drive an F-150. Even with a Gorilla platform, I still have a hard time reaching the middle of the roof unless I have something on a stick. Great video! Thanks for all you guys are doing!

  • @RedErin
    @RedErin Год назад +4

    You know what this short lady needs? An angled pole to wash the roof. I don’t want to drag out the ladder for a quick rinseless wash and I can’t reach the middle even with a ladder so I slap the mitt and drag it and I slap it too far I have to go around with the ladder and retrieve it. I want a DIYdetail one with cotton candy pads on it, but I’m ordering one off Amazon with the chenille pads to try out.

    I gotta tell you, I’ve had 2 BRS’s for 7 years now. I’ve had 2 UBS’s , the first one fell apart for some reason. But the biggest issue I have it’s it’s so dense it won’t conform to panels as well as the BRS. After numerous break ins, I still cannot get the UBS to be as soft as the BRS, so I went back. Just my 2 cents. I have to use hot water with the UBS to get it to be soft enough to wash with.
