I kinda-sorta did this yesterday. At the touchless tunnel wash (it's cold here), I sprayed All Clean on the wheels, then I sprayed Incredible Suds all over the vehicle and wheels to dwell before I entered the wash. It really helped get it clean as the tunnel wash here says they use mild soaps. Impressive cleaning from both products. Only downside is the spray bottle that had Incredible Suds in it spilled on the way home and now the car smells like grape until I can properly clean the carpets lol
Always tried doing this with my car and have gone through many different products to find which works best. Finally the answer to what I have been looking for. Thank you!
I took your advice and tried 8 oz of All Clean & 1 oz of Incredible Suds on my g/f's car as a pre-wash before taking it through the touch-free wash. This combo left ZERO road film after the wash, meaning IT WORKED! Now this isn't an economical ofcoarse and I'm looking forward to that future strong pH pre-wash you'll be coming out with💯
@DIY Detail my first go around was using 4 oz All Clean and 1 gallon of distilled water in my IK Foam Pro 12 and that didn't work to well. The addition of Incredible Suds makes a good "carrier" for All Clean.
My current routine is to do a contact wash every 2 months (2 bucket wash, or rinseless), and a quick maintenance touchless wash every week (pre-soak foam, rinse, blow dry). It's not perfect but does 95% of the job with about 50% of the effort.
I tried this process and it did not work as well as a contact wash. After the iron remover step, I ended up using Rinseless wash sprayed directly to the dirty areas and then used a sponge to loosen the road grind/dirt and then use my pressure washer as I went along to clean off my sponge since I did not have any buckets handy. The good thing is that I now know I can pressure wash my car and not have to pull out a bucket and my clothes stayed dry!
I would normally not reply to that kind of a statement, however, because I think you guys are bringing a needed personal caring touch to the detailing community, I feel I need to let you think about your statement, and then go listen to the very first opening sentence of that video and other statements and other statements during your video…and consider the statements made in your video or your response…I am not trolling, I have bought over $200 worth of product from you.
I bring my ik 12 in the trunk in the winter spray it down with a strong presoak then go into a touchless wash. It just gets more dwell time. I always clean wheels, presoak, rinse hand wash then dry using air for wheels and most of the water then dry with a topper and towel when weather permits.
Would you recommend spraying All Clean onto the car -lower panels and wheels at least, and then cover in foam with Incredible Suds …if car is really grimy?
Bilt Hamber touch less does this the same if not better than a contact wash. High ph soap. Are you saying this process gets all the traffic film and salt off during a Canadian winter too?
I do this pretty regularly with my car! I foam it and then spray some sort of rinse off protection. I usually like to drive my car around the block to get most of the water off and then use a very soft drying cloth! My car is pearl white and I’m not worried about any love marks! With my car ceramic coated and adding the wash of wax it rolls right off! 👏💦✨
You should invest in a good ego blower or car blower and some good microfiber drying towels like the gauntlet so you can save gas. It’s more effective than driving around the block, as you can pick up debris and dirt again.
The touchless method simply doesn't get a genuinely dirty car as clean as a touch wash (you admit this in another thread here).....BUT.... that's using "typical" water pressure. I'd like the following questions answered: a) What pressure would be required to achieve the same result as a contact wash? b) At this pressure, is the amount of wash marring more, same, or less, than a contact wash? I know there are many variables
This is awesome. I've been researching how to get the best touchless wash. I love that Incredible Suds has a slightly higher pH. Also, great point about using Incredible Suds first because I was thinking of using All Clean first but I think your idea on that is better. This is also great during winter.
@@5hift6ear time to go back to math class. Sure it’s only $30 per gallon, but you use 4-5 times more. Equivalent cleaning to DIY Incredible Suds means 4 gallons to do what 1 gallon of DIY Detail does.
@Having Too much fun Meguiar's hyper wash dilution ratio is 400:1 which is roughly 1 oz to 3 gallons of water. DIY Detail suggests 2-3 oz for a bucket wash. How does that translate to using 4-5 times as much? Sounds like you really are "having too much fun" and skipped math class yourself.
I regularly clean my car and never get it too dirty. My question is if I can get by with just this touchless wash process and forgo contact washes altogether (unless I'm polishing)? Or is contact washing semi regularly still something that would need to be done?
do your using the All clean as a high ph cleaner and the Water spot remover which is a lower ph or more acidic correct? dpeakingof what is the ph of your water spot remover? Can this process be used with a car that has no protectant and your using these products to prep it for a eax.or sealer or cermaic coating etc Ivan?
Hi there, Water Spot Remover is on the acidic side of the ph scale, whereas All Clean is more alkaline. Yes this would be a great way to prep your vehicle for a ceramic coating -- with the caveat being that you would want to do all of this *plus* contact wash. I wouldn't want to cut any corners at all when prepping for a coating, so that includes wash, Iron Remover/decon towel, and Water Spot Remover which you would then rinse off the paint. If you're coating the car, I would also prefer to polish and then apply panel prep before coating. But as we showed in this video, we applied Quick Beads at the end so it was protected -- so for basic wash, decon and protection? This method can absolutely be used. Any further questions, please feel free to reach out to Yvan directly (yvan@diydetail.com) -- I know you asked for him to answer directly. This is Nick btw. Have a great day!
Yes DIY Detail Water Spot Remover is acidic on the PH scale. When used per directions it’s safe on all exterior surfaces. DIY Detail Quick Beads is great on all paints and wraps.
5/1, but unfortunately you will loose some efficiency. The other option is to spray it on the surface at 15-1 with simply a pump sprayer or spray bottle.
great video love the no touch method.. I suggest after using the leaf blower use a smaller blower like the master blaster for precision drying on the spots the leaf blower can't get too like in between the gaps in the mirrors then you wouldn't need to use the dip catcher
Very interesting! Can a good quality hose-end sprayer on 60 - 70 psi work as a pressure replacement, or is a pressure washer required for this process?
So the pressure isn't needed to get it 100 percent clean? Thr chemicals alone can lift the traffic film too etc and produce same results as a contact wash you're saying?
Is there a video to explain how quick beads can work so quick with so much water. Even as you show spraying it into the stream of the pressure washer. What is the way which it bonds to the surface

Yeah, because it’s a nice car that has been looked after. I do a contact wash on my Tesla maybe 4x a year. I’m meticulous with it, thanks to these guys 👌🏼

Heys guys, any tips on how to make exhaust tip rusting less visible? I had a new muffler put on my car a few months ago and the exhaust tips have been rusting like crazy. Paint is all nice and shiny and the exhaust is all rusted 😂
We actually have a Metal Ceramic Coating exactly for this purpose: diydetail.com/products/metal-ceramic-coating
Unfortunately there’s nothing really effective other than adding an aftermarket tip
Where are the close up shots of the car to show the before and after dirt from that showroom clean car
It was a one camera shoot 😂 we did use the cell phone close up with water spot remover dwelling but I (Nick) need to do a better job of before and afters…
Greta vied do guys👍 learn something new today great tip
Glad you enjoyed it
Funny! All your videos I've seen start out with a very clean and shiny car.
Here’s one for you

Let's wash an already clean car!! Genius
This is more aimed a a touch free decontamination.
@@diydetailofficial title says "how to wash"
@@USConnexion if you actually watch the video or read the description…
Awesome. Now do this with a dirty car with no previous coating 😩
Works just as well.
Just put a flashing sign by the rabbit hole for me because I do this once a year.
Nothing wrong with a rabbit hole you go into willingly.
Have you ever tried Quick Beads in a foam cannon?
Yep! Works great
@diydetailofficial How many oz do you recommend for the foam Cannon? I'm assuming this method will be using more product...
Touches the car at the end.
MISSION FAILED. WE’LL GET ‘EM NEXT TIME!
Lol, it was so glossy we couldn’t help but touch it.
@@diydetailofficial I woulda done the same thing 😂
Question…do you guys “actually” get along?
Does it seem like we don’t? Lol curious what your perception is
What you see on camera is the same as off camera.
@@diydetailofficial yes to me but if you guys are cool & can work together awesome. I just picked a lot of condescending comments…🤷🏼
Car was not even dirty to begin with.
the dirtiest vehicles definitely will benefit from both rinse steps and contact wash, but there is room between a and z for some nuance and techniques to get you a clean car:)
Yeah, because it’s a nice car that has been looked after. I do a contact wash on my Tesla maybe 4x a year. I’m meticulous with it, thanks to these guys 👌🏼
This has Dane Hennen written all over it...
Dane is great, thanks for the compliment thinking he had a hand in this.
@@diydetailofficial I know he didn't, but Dane loves a good shortcut. 🤣
True
The Nick Glug Glug Method 😳🤦🏾♂️🤣🤣🤣🤣
You know that’s how I roll 😂😂😂
Just watched a different video from y'all saying that you can't just clean touchless. Y'all contradict yourselves a lot
We give different options
@@diydetailofficial By contradicting yourself?
You can wash touchless, but it’s never as good a result. We made this video to answer a viewers question who absolutely doesn’t want to touch their vehicle.
@@diydetailofficial Thanks for responding to criticism professional. I was confused when you mentioned on this video that it's just as effective. Now I understand better. By the way I'd love to see you guys grow and y'all's videos are always entertaining and educative.
Thank you
What a joke, that car was already cleaned
Let us know when you try it.
It’s not a joke, they make the best stuff on the market, have set a new standard in the industry imo. I was skeptical too at first but when I tried their rinseless & ceramic spray, I was blown away. They also make the best iron remover glove on the market too. I have no affiliation with them, just a regular guy who’s always used ONR & Meguiars x-wax combo, but not anymore. Check out detailing made simple’s RUclips channel, he puts their products through all the paces and the results are the best I’ve ever seen (him too).
Thank you!
Ivan, does Nick ever do anything right? 😂
Yes
wasn't very dirty... is that short for... was already clean before you touched it. I think this has been the worst marketing video I've seen yet making robust promises to detailers who may not know better.
No it was definitely dirty just not super caked on grime. It’s the owners baby so he doesn’t drive it a ton in the winter time. Maybe try the method before you knock it:) it doesn’t mean it’s perfect for every car or situation, but it’s certainly a way to do the job
Second
Great video. What’s the difference between ceramic gloss and quick beads? I want to know the difference & what is better to use after doing a rinseless wash. Maybe you guys could do a video on it. Should I use one or the other? Can I use both after doing DIY rinseless? Thank you.
For Rinseless DIY Detail Ceramic Gloss is best, DIY Detail Quick Beads works best when you rinse
This car didn't look that dirty. When is this method a no go?
A touch free service needs a vehicle that doesn’t have thick caked on dirt.
it always makes me sad to see youtube channels start with a squeaky clean car in these type of videos. There is no way for us to see if the car got clean or not ... I can't even watch the video bc it would be a waste of time since its already clean
The goal of the video is more decontamination. Thank you for commenting.
@@diydetailofficial what does the title imply?
i tested it against another product. i will go to chat to discuss with u nick/yvan
Happy to answer your questions.
