@7:05 - That is the funniest implementation of ray tracing I have ever seen! And the fact that it doesnt even have normal shadows in this spot when ray tracing is off is crazy ;)
@@Mostly_Positive_Reviews I am not surprised, since this title is sponsored by AMD. They tend to reduce RT quality/quantity to the minimum. RT reflections in RE series looked pretty bad. RTAO in Forspoken never functioned propely and RT shadows draw distance in that game was very short. I wonder, why do they even ask devs to add RT effects to their games. Traditional projected shadows would look pretty fine in this game. It is not like there is no alternative to RT. This was a really weird choice.
I wondered the same exact thing. Like how does something like this happen? Youd think a huge publisher like Bandai Namco and Sony would have many advisors and number crunchers analyzing potential.
When i got my 7800x3d nothing came with it. I built my friends PC, with the same CPU and he got Space marine 2 and this game. I was beyond pissed. 2 games lol and i got diddly squat
What appeared to be a game that could've been similar to older AC games turned out to be going from arena to arena that feel copy and pasted, linked by corridors with white paint and stutters sprinkled throughout. It reminds me of filler Xbox 360 era games which is not necessarily a bad thing but the performance on PC was and the combat felt clunky and unrefined. Stealth is a big part of this game and it's ok. Hide in the grass and try to not be seen. Enemies aren't completely blind like in some more recent stealth focused games so that's good. Ultimately I think it could make for an interesting play at half the current price and with some updates maybe.
Although I like the potential behind UE5 specially the way visuals scale with settings so far it seems more like a tool the devs use to cut corners and we're left with Alpha stage games and most look underwhelming for the performance cost. Imo visual quality has gone down, Demon Souls remake looks insanely good on PS5 for example and runs great, can't say any game has reached that visual quality lately (on the console at least) yet most run terribly and look noticeably worse on PS5. People forget too easily. Also why aren't the other enemies attacking you 90% of the time while you're beating one of them up lol
This game is on Unreal Engine 4.27, that is why it doesn't look quite as good as UE5 can be. You can 99% of the time just right click on the games .exe properties then details and it will tell you
There are UE4 games, that look just good as most impressive UE5 titles, like The Callisto Protocol and Jedi Survivor. And there are also pretty simple looking UE5 games, like LiS Double Exposure or Banishers GoNE. It mostly depends on devs, not an engine.
Interesting. Everything I have read about this game states it is UE5. I dont have the game so I cant check the game version in properties, but every review I have found also says it is UE5.
@@Mostly_Positive_Reviews It's why I always check myself now, a lot of people that get access to it super early are wrong a lot of times. One big channel I watch that tests all kind of games gets it wrong quite a lot. It's no biggie at all, just wanted to share the info.
If you are checking out the game pass version of Mechwarrior, that build is old and is missing features compared to Steam like frame generation. Mechwarrior seems fun but I'll just wait for the game pass version to get those features at this point, and maybe they will fix more of the issues since it looks like the reviews on steam are criticizing the quality of the port. This game on the other hand, I know a lot of people got it for free from buying AMD products, but it doesn't seem worth it even for free.
Its annoying how Game Pass versions of some games always seem to be behind in features. Speaking of Mech Warrior in particular though it actually runs really well so far. Been playing with DLAA everything maximum around 110fps at 3440 x 1440. I wouldnt bother with FG in this particular case so it doesn't bother me as far as enjoying the game but sucks nonetheless that it's not the same version.
@@TerraWare I like using FG in UE5 games to save power even if I don't need the performance. Can just cap the fps to 60 and double it to 120. The mouse feels intentionally sluggish in Mechwarrior too it would help cover up any input delay even if you play without an fps cap lol.
6800xt is not supposed to compete with 3080 ti. Not a straight competitor really. If you see the rx 6800xt performing better than 3080 ti then there is definitely something wrong in the game. 3080 Ti is supposed to compete with 6900xt or 6950xt depending on the game
@skewuulman3174 All stealth games have it these days unfortunately and while in this game you can justify its existence to the magical abilities it can break immersion removing through element of being surprised trying to stealth.

You have to wonder what Bandi saw in this game before acquiring the studio, similar to how Sony did with Concord.
