I just finished this workout and caught myself smiling. Those have been rare lately, as I am on a long wait list for my sacrocolpopexy & hysterectomy. I wanted to cry from pain and knowing I have five month to wait. I already feel better, less alone and like there is hope. I am so thankful for you. 💖💖💖
Jessica, you are wonderful. Not only a wonderful teacher with great routines, but your eyes, voice and general vibe comes across as really authentic and loving. So glad I found you! Hi from the UK xx
Thanks for this video. I’ve had lots of experience with prolapse and everything you said is spot on. I did do surgery but more minor than yours and am now in my 70s and still doing exercises almost every day to maintain. Doing well and thankful. Love your Pilates videos. Pilates helped more than anything I’ve tried. Keep up the good work.
Oh my, I feel you are a God-send for me! I am 53 and was recently diagnosed with bladder AND rectal prolapse, as well as pelvic floor dysfunction. I plan to do this routine every day!
I've been dealing with prolapse for 15 years. Was told by doctors the only exercise that was safe is walking. Now I've gained 50 lbs through menopause. Thankful for finally finding this.
This workout is amazing! I think you are the best Pilates instructor on RUclips, you explain things so well and you are so knowledgeable. Thank you!
I am in my 70s and have a bladder prolapse. I was advised by my pelvic phisio to do hypopressives but they've mad no difference and sometimes my symptoms of voiding difficulties even seem worse. I've recently taken up pilates again and feel better for it, but having just found your video, am going to try this for a while, as I feel the hypopressives were not the answer for me. Thank you for sharing Jessica. 🙂
Thank you this was so great to see and as you say the need for people suffering with a Prolapse to have hope that they can continue to have a normal but adjusted healthy life incorporating exercise is so important .
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and experience. I've been struggling with my pelvic floor since my early 40s and actually came to a place of quite deep despair as there didn't seem to be any real help available through the health service here. At the time the problems began i knew of my pelvic floor but not really how to find it or strengthen it. I was directed by the health service here to do Kegels, given a leaflet telling me what to do and sent away. I ended up doing them incorrectly and doing more harm than good. It is only through the fantastic help offered so generously online that i have come to understand about my pelvic floor and what is best to do to help make it stronger. I still have problems but am finding all your exercises really helpful and encouraging and only wish that there was more support available for women. So a huge thank you : )
Thanks from Australia I am 78 and so happy with your lessons
This is a perfect daily workout for me. I The speed of the workout is not too fast and very smooth, which I love!! Thank you!
I am absolutely thrilled to have found you. I am72 years of age and have had 4 months of physiotherapy for prolapse of uterus and bladder. I now apparently have a strong pelvic floor but my prolapse has made no improvement. I now have an appointment to have a ring pessary fitted. However, having been advised against running, crunches, sit ups, planks, HIITs I felt so deflated. Also been following a brilliant Pilates teacher on line for well over a year now but many of those exercises seem to be 'out'. So today I began the search for what I can do!! Plenty of websites with text then I found your video!! So I'm on to this 20 minute workout first thing in the morning feeling confident I am working out safely! I presume this can be done daily or would you consider this overkill?! Bless you Jessica for putting this video on RUclips - I am so grateful to you. ❤
You are gorgeous❤
You are a wonderful teacher: clear, honest, inviting, encouraging. I am a Feldenkrais (Somatic/Gentle movement) instructor and greatly appreciate your slower, methodical approach, especially for the strengthening rehabilitative process. Thank you!
Thanks so much!
THANK YOU JESSICA!!! I have been looking for a prolapse workout for a long time and came across your channel. I am so happy that I did. This is the first full body safe workout that I have come across. Thanks again! I appreciate your uploading this video and giving me hope.
Thank you so much for your honesty and helpful guidance. I have been similar to you due to pregnancy issues and you've really helped me to feel better about all of this. You are right, it's not often talked about openly. Very grateful to find your exercises and honest approach xxx
Thank you for posting these videos. After working with a PT for 6mths then being diagnosed with my prolapse, I felt like everything was coming to an end bur after watching and listening to other people I realise its not all bad and we can function normally, we just have to be more aware and careful and listen to our bodies. Thank you once again for these amazing videos.🙏
Hello, Can I ask you if prolapse came AFTER working with a pelvic floor therapist? or di you mean personal trainer?
@mirellaparise6376 I think it's always been there, lurking. I was lifting weights which may have .ade it worse. I went to a pelvic floor therapist who has been helping since.
You are my support group … I live in isolation with no one to relate to or help
Thank you so much for this! I’ve been struggling to find any safe full body workouts to do with prolapse.
I am so thankful for your workouts and your instruction style. It is so very encouraging and clear. It makes me feel far more confident in my ability to safely execute a beneficial exercise routine. My PT and I are always adding your workouts to my home exercises. 💛 Thank you for the work that you do.
What surgery are you talking about
Thank you so very much for this video. I deal with prolapse and was diagnosed with lupus in 2019. These exercises help with both tremendously.
Thank you for this. I am 67, my prolapsed happened last year and I'm waiting to have surgery. (In the UK so we have big waiting lists after Covid). My middle section is getting bigger and flabbier and being a size 4, it really shows! I've just done my first workout. You make it look easy but I think I can do this and will get better in time. The hardest bit is getting the breathing right!!
Thank you!!! It feels so good to move again post surgery
Cant thank you enough. Finally some full body workout safe for prolapse!!
Thank you! Feel grateful to have found you to help me on my journey 💕🙏🏻💕
This is so helpful Jessica, I know we are all different but it gives great confidence to have it labelled safe for prolapse ❤
I love these moves. I think I have a prolapse problem but hasn’t been diagnosed. I’ll keep up these exercises! Thank you Jessica
6:01 such a great release with these.
My 11 year old son joined me 😃. Thank you for the workout.

Thanks Jessica...great exercise 👌
Thank you so much for this video! I have prolapse and this workout felt really good and safe! ❤
I'm so grateful for this video. It's really helped me exercise again. I'd love it if you did one like this, but with added cardio.
This workout is fantastic! Thank you!
Thank you! Pregnant with baby #2 and thankful for the exercise tips.
Thank you so much!! I am so grateful that you are creating these resources for Women managing prolapse. At the end of each work out you are getting big Love from me!! I am wondering if you have heard about a connection between PFP and chronic Bladder infections?
I love this workout, I feel how it help my body, THANK YOU❤
Thank you, Jessica, for all that you do. I am 7 weeks post-hip replacement, and as you often say, the beginner workouts are great for such situations. (And I can attest that as you also say, beginner does not mean easy, especially when one is basically learning how to move again!) I did so many of your videos pre-surgery, especially when walking and even swimming became painful: Undoubtedly, the deep-muscle strength and range of motion helped (and continues to help) during rehab. Next month, I will have the other hip replaced. While I am so looking forward to moving fluidly and painlessly again, I expect that I will keep your workouts as an integral part of my overall approach to staying strong and happy. All the very, very best to you...
hello and thank you for this video. I'm 13 weeks post total hysterectomy and vey cautious of getting back to my yoga and Pilates workouts. This was perfect to ease back in.
will keep on my list and come back to it.
question: was clam shells for the one side only? also the breathing< where do inhales(belly out) and inhales(lift pelvic floor) go in movement sequence?
Thank you
next is you bowel movement video
Hello Jessica could you please let me know if these exercises are ok for Diastasis Recti
Great workout! Don't forget the clam shells on the other side. 😉
Thank you, that was very helpful
Is this OK to do with diastis recti?
Thank you. Amazingly helpful.
Thank u so much dear for this
Thank you so much. You saved me!!
Thank you, love your transparency.
Thank you 🙏
Jessica love!!🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻THANK YOU for being brave and sharing an intimate issue !! You have helped so many of us not feel alone!! Wondering if i book a zoom chat with you for personal training?
I have a prolapse due to auto immune and medications that contributes to prolapse and also some first time crunches i did on my husbands weight machine. I had never had the prolapse after having my babies with difficult births and large babies!! but it happened 17 years later after children, all
of sudden when I was diagnosed with IC. ( interstitial cystitis bladder ) I have done some PT and have the ring, ( but they don't really tell you how to exercise they just say don't lift more than 15 pounds. I noticed after starting a new work out with a trainer that is very minimal and she knows about the prolapse she has me starting sitting down while doing arm weights BUT I experiencing a prolapse (it comes and goes.) I don't want to do a work out that will increase the fatigue!!! I do work out with you on youtube but need to lose weight and build muscle as I age. 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
My first time doing your workout, thank you .
Thank you! Amazing exercises!
Thank you
are these exercises safe for someone wth osteoporosis -3.4 of the spine? I love your ability to explain things clearly...
I am desperate to know the answer to this as well! This has to be a common issue for many. I’m surprised it is so difficult to find routines that state they are safe for both issues!
Great video. Thank you for talking openly about prolapse. Can I ask how did you find your BM’s after surgery for Rectocele. I’m 9.5 weeks po and eating good fibre. Still using stool softeners but wondering if they bulk the poop 😳 Sometimes I need to push on the perineum to help! Sorry for TMI.
Thank you for this session!
Thank you so much for this :)
This is a great workout, however I am surprised that she starts the video jack knifing down to lay. That's a huge no no for people with pelvic floor issues, prolapse, and DR. Side lying to lay down is the best way!
Thank you so much!
Thank you for this!
Thank you Jessica
You are welcome!
Thanks 😊 yes this is private .
I need more instruction on what to do with the pelvic floor while doing the actual exercises after the first couple exercises.
Love it!💜
Hello thank you! Can i do this routine 2 weeks after rectocele surgery?
Does anyone know if this wotkout is piles friendly?
Hey,
Can I do these exercises after prolapse surgery (cystoseele and manchester-operation for uterus)?
How long I have to wait after surgery to start training again?
Thanks :)
(I'm 41 and really do want to learn to train again without the fear of renewing prolapse)
BrilliANT.
How long do you recommend doing this work out for? How many days a week? I'm 4 weeks post op davinci robot hysterectomy. I was doing piyo 3-4 days/ week prior to surgery. When do you recommend going back up to that? I have pelvic floor pt scheduled for week 7. Any advice is appreciated. I had endometriosis, fibroids and adenomyosis. No prolapse and ob doctor said vaginal cuff has healed well.
Are these safe for diastasis recti?
I too have a problem like u said. I have been exercising for the past one year. I do planks squats bicycle crunches. Side crunch etc. Stopped doing Jack's a month back as it was making me feel worse. I had some leakage when I sneeze. I want to know if I can do planks . It is my Favorite exercise
Is this safe to do after hysterectomy after 12 weeks and cleared by surgeon for normal activities?
😢I've got hip and sciatica too plus
I can't tell what type of prolapse I have. I think I'm a a grade 1, maybe a 2 and I have been dealing with it for a couple of years. It started after I got on a jump roping kick and I think that is what finally did it to me. I find ANY time I do an exercise that is a pushing exercise, this flares up and I can feel that pressure. I googled tight pressure always in lower abdomen and feels like a bowling ball is weighing in my pelvis trying to fall out of me and VOILA, prolapse for the win! :( thanks for sharing this. There isn't much out there about it that I can find.
Jessica Raewood hey , i know your comment is old but i just wanna ask, how are you today? I have the same problem as you. What else helped you?
Can I ask whether I should avoid any of these exercises if I have diastasis recti?
would the exercises still be safe if adding ankle weights?
I can't do all the exercises yet but I'm working at it. Will this help with constipation?
I have done this workout but are we suppose to do a kegel every time we exhale
How often do i have to do this every week?
Are all your workouts on RUclips pelvic floor safe? Thanks
While doing the exercises, are you still doing kegels.
would this also be suitable for a hemmhroid?
at what point after surgery is this okay to do?
I'm just 23 and I feel that I have prolapse in vagina but I'm unmarried I used menstrual cup after that I'm facing this issue what should I do
Are all your workout videos safe for people with prolapses?
Just a note - you miss out the second clamshell movement
When you recommend 50 exercises a day do you mean 50 of everything-front, back and then both together?
I think she means 50/day together--she was breaking it down starting with front and then with back and then together. Perhaps others can weigh in.
It also help to loose belly fat because I am scared to do any other excercises
Boring exercise is it life sentence i have cyctocelle and still 34 I don’t want to exercise like 80 😭😭😭
Is this pregnancy safe?
♥️♥️♥️
Are all these exercises safe for women with hysterectomy ?
It depends on your doctor and your restrictions but if your surgery was more than 10 weeks ago and you don't have restrictions from your doctor then yes!
@@JessicaValantPilates Thanks a ton!
