DJI MIC 2 - EQ settings for BETTER audio

DJI Mic 2, an easy-to-use, truly wireless digital microphone/recorder system that offers vivid audio quality while supplying all the elements needed to capture audio from your subject to a DSLR/mirrorless camera or iOS/Android smartphone. The system records clear and reliable audio at up to 820' via a miniature clip-on omnidirectional mics/transmitters, which double as backup recorders for worry-free wireless. The tiny receiver can either be mounted on a DSLR camera or plugged directly into the Lightning/USB port of a smartphone or laptop. Simply complete the initial setup and you can be ready to record quality audio in seconds.

Adds Transmitter Auto Off function, enabled by default. The transmitter, when not connected to any device and without independent recording activated, will automatically shut down after 15 minutes of no use when this function is enabled.
Adds Noise Reduction via Power Button, enabled by default. You can press the power button to enable or disable noise reduction.
Adds compatibility with the iPhone 15 series, supporting the receiver to be used while charging when connecting to a mobile phone via the mobile device adapter.
Optimizes the stability of the system during use.
Fixes the issue of the transmitter not switching to Bluetooth mode while internal recording was activated.
Fixes the issue of the transmitter, when directly connected to a Bluetooth device, incorrectly indicating support for internal recording and noise reduction through the LED information.
Fixes some additional known issues.

In video you talked about comparison old and new firmware, but that part missing as well…
Maybe, making bullet notes what you want to say and show in videos could help you….
Video was more of a “how to install” guide + promote my EQ video
Video has clearly labeled sections where you hear the audio for your self, those are the “samples” so I think that it’s up to you guys to decided if it sounds better.
BUT honestly the DJI Mic 2 have always worked great for me, they sounds decent but better with my EQ and that’s why the video is “simple” how to
The product works great for me.
I was having the same problem with my reciever not showing up on my mac. I took the adapter off of it that connects it to my iphone and it immediately connected then.
Power off the receiver and then plug it in
@@Fredo.heavyy yeah I had tried that and it still wouldn’t connect. As soon as I removed the phone adapter on the bottom of the receiver and reconnected to the computer with it turned off it worked immediately.
I have a pocket 3 and unfortunately, people somehow are more aware of it? I use to just use my phone to vlog and didn't get hardly any attention. But with the pocket 3, too many people have caught on to it, especially on the subway. But it's fun and the footage is cool, so I'll just need to be extra careful when trying new angles where I'm not necessarily holding it.
I would love to see more of NYC from you perspective .
Anyone else noticed it doesn't hold the battery charge the way it did before?
so how did you get the RX to show up on your MacBook? I still can't get it, turned it off and even changed a few cables... RXs updated just fine...

it's interesting how good your audio is when the train comes in / goes by. That's from the 32bit float?
I for sure was able to recover the audio thanks to 32bit but also its mic placement.
Even though I get a lot of shit for it, the closer the mic is to my mouth the less ambient sound it’s going to pick up.
Thanks for the video and I feel you on the problems NYC (and other major cities) is facing.

Very good video, according to the update's patch notes, one of the things it brought was this:

Now my question is, with this update can you record internally while the DJI mic 2 is connected via bluetooth to an insta360 for example, or is that function still not available?

I’m gonna be honest, I’ve heard the audio quality via bluetooth connection is not great.
I do believe you can now record internally while using BT connection but at the moment I don’t have any insta 360 products to test it on.
The sound with the EQ is way better... I have the Lark Max with my Pocket 3 and, even thou there's a hassle on connecting the receiver and such, I still think the sound is way better than with the DJI Mic 2. I'm still in the window to return the Max but I just don't see the ROI on buying the DJI Mic 2 even when the BT will make the workflow way smoother.
Have you tried the Lark M2? The sound quality is quite good as well and the TX are way smaller that people won't even notice.
I really like the sound of the Lark Max, if they had a version with 32 bit I might consider it.
In the mean time I’m very happy with the DJI Mic 2 and my EQ settings
@@Fredo.heavyy Agreed, the EQ settings makes it sound quite good. I think most people want to use it out-of-the-box and I believe that's how DJI is advertising it. Anyhow, great content without bias. Keep it up!
Is there a sync issue because the audio file breaks every 23 minutes
So if you record in 32 bit float your audio files will automatically be split at 23mins, this is by design.
Kinda annoying not sure why it was implemented that way, so not a sync issue but an extra step when syncing in post.

not sure if you'll read this but i am having problems with DJI Mic 2 + Insta 360 X3 camera they connect but the audio is bad, hoping to see some guides from your channel

My dji receiver isn’t popping up on my Mac either. What was the fix for this?
You have to power off the receiver and connect it to your Mac, then it’ll mount
@@Fredo.heavyy I tried that same method, but nothing pops up on my Mac. At some point I got a pop-up on the receiver, and it just shows RTX. Almost like it’s on charging mode only
@@isaacalgutria this info I got from DJI:
Make sure ALL the components of the DJI kit are powered off, use the provide USB cable, restart your Mac and then connect the receiver while it’s powered “off”
Sometimes you have to allow new connections, worst case try it on another machine

🔴 really nice the way you are puttin things together and by the way same here in berlin and possilby elswhere on the globe, at least in the METROPOLICESss. Great time of confusion, but clear out everything will - Peace, brother!, keep on!!! Are there still these decent "synth" sounds while NC is on after the new update? (I still didn't manage to put it) By the way you imagined askin DJI to share a device for testing, unfortunately they don't seem to be too much giving as long as the channels are as small as ours. Anyway, I wish you will manage!! 👍

It only works on select lens but it gives a wider field of view + a blue anamorphic type effects
