I'm glad it was helpful. I was a little worried about the injectors not being OEM, but they are still going strong.

What was the problem you were experiencing that led you to the injectors? My shadow ace died on the freeway today at 80mph, was pretty spooky. It started up fine again after sitting for a bit on the shoulder. Internets telling me maybe injectors and spark plugs, initially I thought overheating but it has full coolant.

The previous owner let the bike sit for 4-5 years with a full tank of fuel. The whole fuel system was gummed up. I cleaned the tank and replaced the fuel pump twice, before going to the injectors. It would just sputter and have no power at highway speeds.

Hey got a question does the aero and phantom have the same tank?

Hey man, my 2010 shadow phantom has been sitting awhile. It won’t start, but it started up fine 6 months ago. Now it won’t start. I charged the battery up. I keep turning it over but it won’t start. Finally I removed the air filter and sprayed some starter fluid in there and it started up but quickly bogged down and died. So it should have spark then right? Any kind of help would be super appreciated.

If it fired off it has spark. My phantom was a pretty extreme case. It sat for years with a nearly full tank. Hopefully, yours isn't as bad. Start with the tank, move to the fuel pump, then injectors. I replaced my fuel pump, but you can also just buy the whole assembly too. A quick search on eBay shows pumps for $30 and the assembly for $65+ range.

@@kzdom115 thanks for your reply I appreciate it. I was just about to spend $500 for a shop to replace the fuel pump, but first I drained the tank by pulling the hose off the fuel pump but I forgot to take the return line off. By doing so gas started flowing out of the fuel pump until I took the return line off too. I drained the tank and put fresh gas in and put everything back together and it started right up. I think that by taking off the one fuel line and leaving the other one on the pump, it cycled some gas through the pump and freed something in the pump that was stuck. Its a 2010 Honda shadow phantom with 14k miles and had just been sitting for a couple years. Thanks for your help!

The Honda branded ones were $150. The ones I used were $40 each only two are required.

Thanks man, I'll be getting back to the 440 soon. It was a belt drive, but I converted it to chaindrive. From my understanding they don't make the belts anymore. The chain and sprockets just bolt on. If I remember correctly there is one chain guard bolt that has to be ground down.

if someone want's to learn how to do that job you skipped some of the most important parts.

Yeah, I really don't do the "how to thing" as a step by step instructional video. The majority of the videos I make a just me playing. There are plenty of other guys with way more knowledge and skills than me making how to videos. I'm just a dude messing around in my messy garage.
