I have never had to remove the tank on my 08 or 11 shadow aero to remove the fuel pump. Lots of unnecessary work to me. But a great video covering the fuel issue.
The bike sat for around four years with fuel in the tank. It was filled with rust. I removed the tank to clean it, replace the fuel pump, and injectors. The whole system was trashed.
Thanks for the insight on the breakdown of the fuel pump. I have a 2010 Phantom and it started acting up today. Similar issues you seem to be having but it only does it when it's hot. Weird. I guess I'll be digging in to the fuel pump. Thanks
Hello! Thank you for the video. I have the same bike and the same issue with the fuel system. Do you know the part number of this filter on the fuel pump?
I don't remember the part number, I just ordered a cheap one from ebay. They sell the complete sending unit on Amazon and ebay for about $75 to $100 currently. That might be the easiest option.
I like watching you work on the Shadow on your videos it gives me pointers kind of shows me how to do things
I love your videos I've got a 2012 Honda Shadow Spirit basically same bike and I ended up just replacing my fuel pump

Hey me too! What did you end up doing?

Is there a part 2?

these fuel injected shadow phantom 750 fuel tanks builds up rust inside and kills the pump, something wrong with the inner lining of these fuel tanks,
They definitely are susceptible to rust. Fuel these days just plain sucks too.
