Thank you so much!!! I have extreme sensitivity to cold (AI disease), and my body temperature can drop to 32 degres celsius (about 90 degrees F) in cold weather and I feel chilled to the bone, even in summer. I came across your video by chance, and after my first time trying, for a few minutes, I couldn't feel the cool temperature, which is amazing for me. It gives me great hope. I will definitely keep trying this technique, hoping this will help me cope. All my gratitude to you.

@@spaideman7850 yeah...like did it produce enough heat or not? this is not the tummo method...for the phyysical movement it involves rapid breathing in and out thru nose while expanding and contracting abdomen according to the in and out breaths...can call it 'bellows breathing'...the visualization is a little red point at lower dantien that starts to get hotter and you visialize getting bigger and brighter...I have a couple of effective mantras that produce internal heat and raise body temperature...there are also certain buddhist amulets that make the whole body very hot when worn...reciting a mantra on 108 bead mala every day and wearing it all the time except for shower will make the body hot...also certain herbs can increase body heat...many ways to do it...sauna is another

I read somewhere how Tibetan monks do it. You need to imagine a certain Dorji Naljorm inside yourself and fan the fire that will turn into a flame and your body into a kind of pipe. Perhaps there is an image of this Dorji somewhere that the monks first memorize.

YEs,they picture a light orb of fire at the centre dentine. Just above the sacral chakra. Picture and feel the heat emanating. It works with practice. The mental muscle will develop. Good luck

Hi! Just couple questions. 1. When breathing, don't expand belly forward isn't? 2. After 5 breaths swallow, push down and in same time expand belly forward(hold it) and squized and hold bottom? I understand right? So after 3 rounds what I should visualize, what happen with fire ball? I heard some options about shot ball quick through spine up, to the top head and energy spread like fountain. Make any sense for you? Greetings! Tom

Exactly bro. Last breath in, hold swallow and then push belly out. Squeeze up on the sphincter in the anus. Visualize the glowing fire in the centre of your body. Keep it up! Much love

Wouldn't raising your body temperature 17F degrees kill you? Like if normal body temperature is 98.6F and maximum temperature a body can survive is 108.14F, how do you get that 17F raise in there? They would first have to lower their body temperature to 91.14F which means hypothermia? So they would basically die either one way or another?

    • @karmadechenlhamo6077
      @karmadechenlhamo6077 Год назад

You don't need to practice like this to become a Shaolin monk.
To become a monk you only need sufficient merit,
as well as motivation to be quickly liberated from the suffering of this endless cycle of birth and death.
You must arouse the thought of abhorring all worldly life that is impermanent, full of suffering and has no real substance.
Then generate thoughts of renunciation to take the life of a saint by leaving family and home to become a Monk and live in a monastery,
and strictly practice & observe all the precepts for a Monk,
and practice meditation so that all existing defilements or kilesas within us can all be eliminated and gain true wisdom,
and after all the roots of the kilesas can be uprooted completely,
one will attain true happiness which is enlightenment or Nirvana.

I would like to ask someone who has more experience: when I do this breathing exercise (but it happened to me with other breathing exercises as well) when I inflate my belly after the last breath, it "knocks me out" or I don't know how else to describe it. Few times I have fallen to the ground with my head. It's like a bolt of lightning went through me. It can't really be compared to anything, but it's not unpleasant. In truth, the feelings at that moment are so strange that I'm glad for it. What is it?

      Hello Jan,
I would say that comes from combining the dantian belly fire with the perineum by pushing it down. It is like two electric poles put together that creates energy. It is like putting yin and yang put together.
The reason why it knocks you off might be that your energy is strong but your body is (currently) too weak.
You should do the standing meditation from the Tai Chi and Qi Gong systems to strengthen your body's capacity to be able to bare the energy. You can also do just isometric exercises like handstand. Or yoga by keeping a position for at least 5 to 10 minutes.
That is my thoughts on that.
Be careful with knocking your self out it can be dangerous.

Wim does acknowledge that his breathing technique is a variation of the Tummo. Tummo is different in many ways. Both are considered an overbreadth. Wim Hof method can be done through the nose or through the mouth. Wim Hof method also holds and has its retention with the lungs empty. Unless doing the power breathing exercise. Many practitioners have formed their practice creating a different variation of the Tummo. Tummo is the original. Thanks for all your comments. Take care and have a fantastic day. Far too often Western scientific research seems to dismiss them as fake or plays it down a lot. Or they end up renaming it and claiming it for their own . To be fair a lot of Eastern spiritual techniques have been validated by Western research and helped in strengthening , popularising and reviving the traditions too. @@yulianasutikno do you know the name of the monk or text?
There are similarities though, and anyway if it works is fine. Actually as you know well there are many methods and variations.
What I wanted to point out (excuse me for that, I didn’t want to criticize your nice video) is that the term Tummo got mainstream as a physical practice (that is totally legit btw) for heat and wellbeing, but the real Tummo is in fact a practice of tantric Buddhism, whose aim is burning the obscurations of the mind to attain enlightenment (I simplify) with altruistic mind.
Please forgive me for my punctiliousness 😅, I just wanted to provide a wider perspective for people wanting to learn it

Yes tomorrow has been the source in the original practice that many have taken and use their own variation of it. To me it is the most powerful of the overbreadth techniques using locks and Visualization. Check out some of my new videos, breathing bubbles a box breathing and breathing technique for anxiety relief. I will have more videos to come along with physiology and science of breath work videos. I don't understand why you compare DMT to tummo(breath+visualisation).
      They are completely different things.
And no - tummo is not the source/origin of DMT, even though you can trigger/release it with this practice....

You seem to be a sincere guy but none of this is tummo in least. You’re combining a number of different traditions (even Western kegel exercises 😂) and coming up with a mess. Of course, you can teach anything you wish, but it’s irresponsible to pass this off as tummo. You seem to be fooling a number of people, guessing from the comments. Well, so it goes 😂

If you want to truly learn it then you have to become a monk. Tummo is the first thing to master in Karmamudra. None are more secretive than the Tibetans. Vajrayana Buddhism is mysticism. Not all monks get to learn this. You will literally be having sex with a deity in your dreams lucidly. Learning to travel astrally. It's full time , full devotion in your life. This isn't a hobby to do on the weekends. Everyone wants to experience enlightenment, few ever speak of the fact that few survive the liberation.

    breath nothing
stop breathing. breathing is a trap. life is a trick.
    escape.
    do not breath.
visualize them as fire, watch them from a distance
be at peace and rest on the hand of astaroth
    you can force this
