      THe funniest part of this is watching a sportbike rider get on a Harley and they run it to redline literally every time they accelerate....whereas you take a Harley rider and put them on a sportbike and they are shifting 2-3 grand before the powerband even kicks in and are saying they thought it would be faster...:-P

    Here is the thing about a Harley....will it be as fast as a sportbike, absolutely NOT, however its a LOT like comparing a Ferrari to a GTO or 67-69 Camaro....yeah, they are nowhere near as fast, but the ride is ALL ITS OWN. You can make a Harley into almost anything you want it to be, thats why people enjoy them...the owners make them to match their character....you wanna cruiser, they can do that, you want a muscle car they can do that, you want a bike that feels like you are sitting on your couch and you can listen to the stereo at 400 watts and have your bags packed with 4 days of stuff...yep you can do that. Guys who ride Harleys simply look at ownership completely different than your normal motorcyclist, they look at it as you buy your bike and that is a canvas to create something one off just for yourself....granted you PAY for that opportunity. Sportbike riders look at a Harley and say "pffft, you spent 20-30 grand on a bike that performance wise gets demolished by a 600cc sportbike"....however a Harley rider will look at it and say 20 years from now I will still love that bike where a sportbike is just a 2-3 year flash in the pan...the next big thing for sportbikes is whats coming next....the next big thing in the Harley world is what can I do to the bike I already own to make it mine

    • @redrider0151
      @redrider0151 3 года назад +2

      @@Bigiron429 Just to quantify this statement....it will beat it in what??? Cuz while you "may" beat one for about 200 feet coming out of the hole, you are not going to beat it in a 1/4 mile race, and the minute there is a turn involved anyplace you are gonna wave by by, and as far as top speed that R7, CBR600, ZX6 is going to leave you SERIOUSLY in the dust. And to say that your 1860cc, 20 thousand dollar motorcycle will beat any bike that is a THIRD the motor size and half the cost...LOLZ (Kinda like saying when you were in high school you could kick any middle schoolers ass....) Dont get me wrong, I currently own 3 Harleys and 1 sportbike and I love my Harleys, but I have ZERO delusions as to which one is actually a performance motorcycle. Heck, you can watch in Blocks videos of his new MT09 where his bone stock MT walks his LRS that has probably 20 grand in aftermarket work done to it....and the MT09 isnt even a sports bike...and Block even says he thought it would be much worse..LOLOL

(and thats not even a sportbike, its been tuned down) ruclips.net/video/QTUTHHAwK_w/видео.html Its not like its an unknown thing....I would LOVE to see you actually do what you say yours can do....but if you truly beat a sportbike anything more than from a dead stop to about 200 feet, well the sportbike didnt know you were racing him....thats the cold hard truth....especially with a stock motor with a stage one...hate to break it to you but those are the facts... AND I had to go look up r/whooosh....LOLZ.... :-P Im a grown assed man with 4 kids, so I miss the joke a LOT....LOLZ

    Just brought home a '23 black Low Rider S. Never rode a Harley, but felt it was time. Love my Z900's and VStrom, but even stock, this bike has a raw feel and lets you know your riding a motorcycle. If I was to mod it, I would go with the 131 kit. 150 hp, 150 torque. I have the same pipe ,but black and it looks better than most and sets off car alarms. Even dogs start barking when I go by. Love this thing. My other bikes are going to have a long rest. Excelent vid. Love your enthusiasm.

    I just had stage 3 - (96 CI to 103 CI, with screamin eagle echo cam, and Bassani 2 to 1 exhaust) put into my street Bob last year and it is definitely a huge difference in performance. Wish I had spent another $600-800 though and went with the 110 CI kit though. Right now I'm sitting at around 95 HP and 105 pound/feet torque. With the 110 kit it probably would've bumped each of those values up by another 10-15. So, word of advice... If you're gonna drop thousands into a kit just wait longer and save up to go to stage 4. Go all or nothing. It's only a little bit more money to add it all at once. It's when you do it bit by bit that that labor cost kills you.

    There’s something to be said about a fast Harley.
    I have a 2016 streetbob that started life as a 75hp turd. Started with cams oil pump, adjustable pushrods, springs and rockers, fab28 exhaust, and air intake. Then installed the 110 big bore kit, high compression forged pistons, ported heads, larger throttle body, and tuner. The last mod I installed last year was a trash turbo kit, and swapped out my high compression pistons for lower compression pistons, due to needing high octane race gas with the high compression setup.
    Needless to say, I literally haven’t raced another Harley that can stay with me. I will say that I haven’t met anyone with the 131 that wasn’t in a bagger. So I’d be interested to see how my 110 stands up to the 131 in a low rider frame.
    I couldn’t imagine having any more power in these bikes because my 150lb body can’t keep the front wheel on the ground while accelerating through the gears.
    I’m in down in Daytona Beach, so if blockhead ever comes out this way, it’d be great to do a comparison/drag race. 😁

It’s funny I had commented on that video of the 883 just saying to ride a new softail because it’s a better experience. You said ok I’ll ride one with a 50% power increase😂 You can lean them. I toss my softail standard around pretty hard and crack the throttle mid turn. It’s just the power of his bike is too much, even with the stickier tire. If it was mine I’d be doing it anyway because I like that feeling, but definitely not taking that risk on someone else’s that’s double the cost into it than mine lol.

    How does the power feel compared to something like the MT09? I have an R6 and an XSR900, but have been wanting a high HP Harley.

    • @joshmaag2457
      @joshmaag2457 3 года назад

      Completely different experience. My buddy has a 131 kit in his low rider with other mods. And where the mt09 is like seamless speed Harleys are like brute torque. And you really feel the speed on them because they really aren’t made to do things like the mt09. It’s a shitload of fun. How do you like the xsr? Really want one but the new mt09 is calling my name. I wonder if they will refresh the xsr next year with the mt10

    • @BlockheadMoto
      @BlockheadMoto 3 года назад +3

      MT09 is like a finely tuned modern sports car. Goldzilla is like a 70's era American muscle car.

    • @JohnConnor12
      @JohnConnor12 3 года назад

      @@joshmaag2457 Thanks, dude. I love the XSR! The seat is a little stiff, but the riding position is great and I love how it produces power. Plenty of power for me without being overkill. I do hope they refresh the XSR line up. Would hate to see them go away, but I don't see many on the road, so who knows.
