Chris is a good teacher. Have you guys ever thought about doing occasional seminars at the garage? I'd pay to take a 2 hour motorcycle class with Chris teaching. There's a local motorcycle garage/co-op work space near me that does classes. It's like 50 bucks for a 2 hour class on basic maintenance or electronics or carburetors, there's a few different ones to chose from. I signed up for a couple classes next month. I'm curious to see how they are.

Awesome! Thanks guys. Informative, fun, and entertaining video. Best I've seen. I have a Road King Stage 1 which is plenty of power for an old fart like me who's been riding for 50+ years now. Interested in stage 2 maybe but is there a trade-off between power and engine reliability/lifespan when you go to stage 2? If the motor is breathing and working that much more (due to more duration and lift of cam), are you in effect shortening its life and reliability on the road for those long cross country trips? (Maybe I think about this too much since I'm 70+ years old.) Any thoughts appreciated.

i just subscribed, I own a 2018 Softail Deluxe (M8 107 motor) and as chances would have it im awaiting my parts to do a Stage I & Stage II (all Screaming Eagle) and im also upgrading the Lifters, the lifter Cuffs, and a SE High performance Oil Pump and Cam Plate. Also a rear pillian, clear 19” windshield, and a few chrome pieces, (although this bike came stock with a chit load of Chrome) Thats as far as i want to go for now. Very cool that I just came across this video. What i found interesting when ordering the parts, the parts guy spoke with the Service manager cam back told me he ordered everything (take about a week) but said that the service manager said “You dont need The Lifter Cuffs” I said NO….You dont understand, I WANT them replaced, and he sort of argued with me asking repeatedly WHY? I finally said because the ones Harley built this engine with Like with so many other parts Hum lets see Plastic Tran Cover, Insufficient oil pump improperly vented pressure with the blow by issue) and The CUFFS are PLASTIC and are known to TWIST, then the rollers on the bottom of the lifters can rotate…NOT GOOD. His reply…Oh we haven’t heard of THAT happening. I have and will be glad to point you to the many instances, i also dont beLIEve they haven’t heard it.

Top Vid...as per usual! Was wondering about the bars you installed on the ride? Look a lot like Burleigh Highballs made down here in Aus! Best bars in the business IMHO 👌

I like the way you guys took your time to explain your process of up grading to stage two. Do you guys explain the other stages, what is stage three and four? Keep up the good work!

How does the SE oil pump and cam plate stack up to the S&S parts? What type of improvements in oil flow does it provide percentage wise versus the S&S?

You’d have to look up their spec sheets for detailed stats, but Chris goes over a few of the pros in this video 👍🏼

@@BlockheadMoto Chris is exactly why I asked the question. He was a Harley employee and likely has experience with the SE oil pump and cam plate. I'm sure more of your followers would love the comparison info of the different brands of oil pumps. I've seen videos showing the % numbers of increased flow for the Fueling and the S&S parts but haven't seen a RUclips video comparing the SE to those two brands.
