      Agree. I’m same height. I got the kodlin lowering kit as well and it feels so much better but my Le Pera kickflip upfront is so damn wide I’m now on the balls of my feet. Thinking of swapping seats for the Harley 2-up upfront but I love the look of the Le Pera I might just stick w it. I just want to be more flat footed so I can back my bike up to my parking spot and when I also want to take my son out for rides. I never had a problem with my height until I got into bikes 😂 pain in the ass

    Buying anything and not having any regrets of one kind or another, is no easy task these days. The bike definitely fits you extremely well and you nailed it on the needed mods. Another comprehensive and entertaining video once again Staci. Hope you have great holidays and thank you for keeping us entertained and informed about great rides and food. 👍🏻

    You are completely correct, that certain Harley parts are just fine. Talking about the engine, when you look at your service manual, there are certain parts that need to be checked at intervals. For longevity sake, there is no problem with stock stuff, but doing proper maintenance is key. A lot of folks wait until stuff is broken, but then it's too late !! I have a 2006 softtail Deluxe with close to 100,000 miles i have had the motor apart a couple times but not because it was broke. I do my own work except for machine work, so maintenance is key. Some of my friends say stuff like, " why did you take it apart?" " It ran fine". My answer is. " I hate breaking down on the road !!". I did that when I was in my 20s. My point is that maintenance is key to reliability.

    Nice! I've had mine for about a year and put 17k so far, daily ride it as a commuter. As a 5'10" man I still think this bike is the perfect bike, in my opinion you get a lot of guys saying they need baggers out of pure ego lol. Got no plans of trading mine either, I'll be keeping her for life
    Edit: I've been looking at the Advanblack lowers as well, I asked them about crash bars. Apparently they'll be releasing crash bars for sale next month that work in conjunction with their lowers. They look pretty good, so I'll be giving them a shot

    You pretty much pushed me over the threshold I've been balancing on for some time now about whether or not to possibly pick up the low rider ST. I currently primarily ride my 2022 Road Glide ST, and I love the bike, it's great. The only thing is, similar to what you mentioned, I tend to just like having a main bike I ride all the time. Lugging the road glide around when I'm just ripping through the city and lots of stop and go, lower speed riding, the road glide is just a big bulk to be doing that on for me. I love the idea of having a bike, like you mentioned, I can simply strip the bags off if I wish and rip town, or load it up and disappear. Also, on a side note, I agree somewhat with the gel in seats. I have one with gel, it's not bad, but my non-gel seat with a sheepskin is far and above better, especially in cooler months but even in warmer ones because air flows through it nicely. Anyways, you're rad, stay rad, cheers, safe rides, and thanks for the video!

    I'm riding a 2024 lowrider ST mostly stock at 5'1" and I LOVE IT still. I put a ton of miles on it this summer and it's great. I am using the HD reduced reach 2up seat, but considering the Le Pera in the future and I did do the Kodlin rear shock lowering kit to get just about 1" of lowering on the rear.
    It isn't as great of a fit for my height as my old softtail slim was, but it also has way more touring features that make longer trips more comfortable.
    Your parts list is my long term wishlist. :)

    I’m 5’4 and ride a road king special and I have that exact seat! It has lots of back support even without a backrest and puts me in a much better spot also. I tell everyone that asks not to let your stature scare you away from a bigger bike as long as you have some experience. You can make it fit you and I think being able to flat foot is a bit overrated. Get the balls of your feet down solid and you’re good! But yeah I’ll vouch for that seat also as a good all around daily rider!

    I could be wrong (it's happened more than once) but isn't the thumbnail of the Advan Black Lower Leg Fairing For Harley 2018+ Softail Low Rider S/ ST show a Bung King style crashbar installed. Either so happy for you that you are still enjoying the bike and Happy Thanksgiving 💯✌🤟🤘

    You are literally my inspiration to start motovlogging. How many miles did you put on your dyna before its first big maintenance? I’ve done all the maintenance myself so far but I want to be prepared financially if I have to take it to a shop during a cross country. I have a 2017 Dyna Low Rider. I might just get a Lowrider ST thanks to your video or a RGS depending on what my goals are later on down the road but I’m waiting to purchase a house for now.

    • @ridetofood
      @ridetofood  2 месяца назад +1

      I do maintenance at every scheduled maintenance interval and every dealership sets their own hourly rates for service so just be prepared to drop at least $1,000 if something goes wrong and you can’t fix it yourself lol! Some routine services are like $400 others are much more. Sucks but it is what it is!
      I feel ya on the house. My mortgage lender says no more “big” motorcycle purchases until the keys are in my hand sometime next year! Good luck!!!

    Was the gel in your seat medical grade? I had my 2014 Street Glide reworked to move me back a few inches I also added medical grade gel pads to rider and passenger spots. This has been such a great difference in comfort! The seat has been with me for the last 10 years and when I traded in the bike for my current bike, 21 Road King Special, part of the deal was that my seat came with me! 😂

    If the dealership had voided my warranty over a mild ECM tune-I would tell anyone who would listen to take your business elsewhere. Great video however I have one question for you. Talking about upgrading the front suspension and I do understand that, however have you considered that the suspension may still be fine and it’s the fork oil that may have lost its ability to work after 30 odd thousand miles in eighteen months? Maybe change the fork oil to start with and see whether you get back your suspension as it was when you started. Maybe you have already done that.

    And done a bout 10,000 miles its good on twisty roads she loved the torque around the tight corners in cornwall she loved it anyway ive looked at prices at around £17,000
