Just switched to Epic stock shafts in regular are mostly evenflow green super high launch and spinny. Put a tour AD DI 5 R1 in. My speed is 86-89 got my carry in the 190s with 200-210 roll out perfect for these 71 year old bones my wife and I have a deal she can buy as many shoes as she wants and I can buy clubs gotta love this game.

Never been a ping fan gamed cally epic flash for 4 month then tried a mates ping 410 plus. All i can say is wow went for a fitting came away with one. Most honestly it's not the longest I've tried but nothing I've hit on demo had been more accurate or forgiving. This is the driver that's a game changer for me also purchased 3 wood and a hybrid.
Just picked up the G410 SFT..... I can’t miss a fairway... driving it 250-260 with a 90mph swing. Stock Alta 55g shaft. Luv this driver!

Clay Ballard is one of the best on here, he's now a Ping Ambassador. Bombs his G410 and seems real.
TS3 v Ping gets my vote although I am a died in the wool Callaway woods player (Titleist AP1s, Vokey wedges and Scotty Newport putter also in the bag!) With the enhanced shoulder turn 262 is fast becoming 272 and on its way to 282! Good stuff again guys very enjoyable watching.

Without analysing Dans swing speed numbers, the whole review could have been Callaway is the longer club.
Somebody needs to go around teaching these RUclips reviewers about standard deviation.
The amount of times you see them talking about distance, ball speed, club head speed gains etc and the gains are within the Stdev range. I mean it’s the cell below the one they’re reading, they don’t need to pull the Casio out.
If it’s within standard deviation it basically means the numbers are equal, or the difference cannot be separated.
Don’t talk to me about RUclips reviews. I baffle at what I see bruh. 👍
The strong competition between the major companies can only be good for customers/golfers. Whichever driver you buy you've a high percentage chance of a very good club. ( ping for me like yourself it's a growing up thing) thanks for your efforts.

I just came out of the Epic Flash SZ for the Ping G410 Plus because of the forgiveness. I hit the Epic further on perfect swings, but the Epic is more penalizing for bad strikes. You can see in the numbers on their screen, but not mentioned in the video - the worst strike for the Epic that went 257 was offline by 50 yards -- while the worst strike for the Ping was only off 24. A marginal hit, 24 yards offline, is generally still in the Fairway. 50 yards offline is in the hazard. That is 2-4 strokes a round for even a high single digit golfer.
Mark, This years crop of drivers are all very good and very close in performance. I think anyone looking to upgrade this year has to test and it will come down to personal taste.
Great review! The Ping is more accurate on this test.. I was custom fit at Club Champion NJ for the Cobra F9 in Feb.. Got 3 mph more ball speed with the F9 compared to Epic Flash SZ and TS3 with same ACCRA M4 365 Fx 2.0 shaft... G410 wasn’t available yet... NExt spring will retest my F9 against the G410 and the new Cobra Speedzone !! I’m really liking the G410 and all the reviews I’m watching on RUclips. Seems to be the best for distance & forgiveness. Last year i had the G400 and G400MAX and didn’t like the distance i was getting... i had the Ping Tour 65S shaft so it was a quality shaft, cant blame the shaft.
I'm wouldn't be surprised if you ran the same test ten times on different days the performance results between these two drivers would be very close. The choice would come down to personal preference in terms of sound, looks, and brand loyalty/perception. With these high performing clubs, I think it comes down more to what's between the ears. I tested the Ping, TS's, flash and sub zero. My performance with the Epic Flash was better across the board with numbers etc and on the range. Flash now in the bag
Quality, I’m playing my golf like that from now on. No ego golf!!
I would go with Ping. I had the original Epic and I only had in the bag a month. That club was not forgiving on mis-hits. I traded the Callaway in for the G 400. Best driver I have ever owned!!
To me it all comes down to individual preference and what you feel gives you the most confidence when you stand over the ball. What all these tests show is that in the hands of a skilled golfer who an deliver a consistent strike they deliver almost identical performance and the real message is do all you can to improve your strike before investing in a new toy.
Mark, Really would like to see the new Mizuno 190 driver
Love to see TS3 against the Ping G410. You get bad rap for hating on tech. Insisting on doing the shaft that fits the club shows to me you value good fitting. Can't wait to see you collaborate with TXG. Definitely would get stuck in.

Sorry to say my TS3 just got sold and I am getting a custom fit for the G410 plus. Just helped me find more fairways when I tested on course
I’m not bragging and by all means I’m not an amazing player but I am okay and I love a loud tingy driver. I want it to be heard like 4 holes away. Makes me feel better about myself.
People know when you rip one out of the middle with a 915D3.
ND. I don’t need expensive golf equipment to make me feel good about myself. I’ve got drugs for that.
If I hear you from 4 holes away, I'm not thinking of you in a positive light. It would even worse if you were playing in my group. I like the thud of a Callaway driver if you haven't guessed

I find all clubs preform very similarly for me, I chose a cobra driver in the end. It was no longer than any I hit but the dispersion was tighter. I also chose it due to the feel, noise and looks as they suited me. I know the overriding factor is me. Any player who claims a new driver added 20+ yards is lying, my old ping g10 was only a yard shorter than my new cobra and only got replaced as it was looking sorry for itself. Lessons and practice are a much better investment than clubs if you ask me.

As both drivers gave similar distance and spin levels then I would be basing my decision on what driver was best for me on dispersion. I recently tested both of these drivers when I went for a fitting and I found the Ping to be the most forgiving, giving me tighter dispersion.
I will take the one that is more forgiving on miss hits.....
With that extra distance, will we be seeing Crossfield in the long drive contest? #262.5 MASSIVE bomb balls.

The problem with the Ping G410 driver is that Ping only offers 5 shafts(only two non Ping Shaft) as a no charge upgrade. I hit center or high toe as a 4 handicap. I tested well on high toe hits with the Ping and the TaylorMade M6 went with the Taylormade as they offered the shaft I wanted at no charge(Project X Evenflow Blue). I had a drop in distance and direction with Callaway, Cobra and Mizuno on high toe strikes.

Go hit them yourself, what he thinks is irrelevant to you.
Expected to evaluate the head size, head weight and shaft specifications. How all these details influence the drive for golfer. Example heavy head will bring what advantages and disadvantages, etc.
I would rather have the driver that gets me in the fairway more consistently. 4 or 5 yards won't make a difference at all.

Also I'd love to see heads up against st190. I bought this recently after testing with Andy, The Average Golfer. It performed great compared to my old M4, and it looks stunning!
I would say the two best drivers on the market at the moment but the ping is slightly better value, also worth saying that for me the g410 and the g400 are the same driver so if you were in the market some great deals on the g400

I’m a Ping fan boy. The matte finish inspires confidence and a Batman feel. lol
The sound of a driver would never affect my decision, and doesn’t phase me. Also wonder how much shaft fitting would affect maximum numbers.
This year more than others I think consumers have the hardest choice for a driver. Not one bad one, making it come down looks, sound and feel.
And Mizuno and Cobra's price point must be an advantage when other's have upped their price from last year.

Tested drivers on Sunday to see what suited my old man fade/slice and Ping G410 and Cobra King F7 (both in draw setting) were best outcome and comparable. However, quite a price differential. ??

The straightest driver I've ever hit, not that I'm sure you're interested? RazrFit Extreme from Callaway, as I tried my friends who I play golf with. Boom. The ONLY club I've not been. Fitted for.
What's important I'd say is numbers and looks but acoustics? Always on the course but NEVER in a teaching suite.
Yes but also remember we are comparing same/ similar in the same room. So in relation to others if you like.

Oh good. Yet another driver compare where it makes no bloomin difference. I think I’ll wait til the price drops next year and get fitted for a Titleist TS driver as I like the look of them best. Of course that depends if I can find a fitter who doesn’t mind me not getting the ‘latest and greatest’ iteration.
TS3 vs Ping!! Ping has really made some very good clubs the past few years.
You didn’t seem to mention it but interesting you had one big drop off in spin and distance on Callaway. Obviously strike based but I wonder if the drop off on the ping would have been the same or different for similar strike.
I'd like to see you guys put the new PXG driver through its paces. The price of their new driver is very reasonable.
I'd be interested to see a video where you take two drivers and hit them to get your numbers, like this one, and then see how well you can make them match up via stock fitting options alone. In other words, are modern driver differences within fitting margins. Maybe that would make a good #AskDan?

Yes, please throw the PS3 in the mix! At my Club I have tested the new M5&6, Callaway Flash, Ping G410 against my 2016 M2 driver and have seen minimal yards gained (3-8 ave) but Saturday I hit the PS3 set up with straight weights at 9.25* on a 60gram Hazardous shaft and was 14 yards longer with 4mph ave LESS clubhead speed. The first thing I did was check the Titleist guy's trackman to make sure he didn't put me at 6,000ft elevation! Nope, both at sea level. Looks like I'm buying one, off Ebay next year :)

I have just been fitted for the epic, tried the ping and it had slightly quicker ball speed but the dispersion wasn’t as good as the epic😜

I got fitted recently and tried nearly everything out there during the fitting. I went in wanting the Ping but kept an open mind and let the numbers make the choice. Ended up with the Callaway. It was more consistent for me and had a tighter grouping of shots.
Now that I’ve had it for a dozen rounds I’m bombing better than I’ve ever hit any driver, seeing parts of my course I’ve never been before. Now if only they didn’t put such an ugly heard over on it.....

Mark, great review as per normal but IF you were having to pay for a driver yourself which would you put into play, asking as reviews never seem to touch on price and the Ping is lower priced than all bar cobra
I always said I'd sacrifice yards for accuracy. New swing techniques have seen my accuracy improve massively, won comp at weekend with 40 points, but distances dropped about 15 yds on all irons. It annoys me! It's all about distance! 😂😂😂😂 so can see why manufacturers play up to distance talks and lower spin drivers.
I just want it all, long and straight 🙈

Mark, is the 410 better than the 400max ? Considering changing.
I tested pretty much everything and gamed the G400 Max last year but went with flash Sub Zero. The 410 felt really draw biased and the flash was much more neutral. Also got a couple mph ball speed advantage with the Callaway. The closest competitor I found to the Flash was the Honma TW 747. Went with Callaway because their customer service has always been excellent and Honma cs is an unknown for me.

Didi Windisch why? They only test their fitted shaft, any other shaft doesn’t make sense. Just get fitted yourself.

I am sorry, but if you pick a driver, based off of sound, what are you going to do if you go deaf? I had a Cleveland HiBore XL and I tell you, it sounded like a tin can rocket, but it performed.
Why no commentary on the dispersion? Dan hit the epic pretty straight and had two wild ones(60 yards right? oh dear) with the ping. MC hit all his epic drives left and all the ping drives right. That's the club or the swing?
