    I bought today the G410 SFT. Incredible driver. I hit draws with all other clubs but of some reason the driver tends to fade. Though I must say the ones in the right rough are really really long. But this SFT I can hit with same confidence as all other clubs. And it flies really straight and long. I also have stiff shafts in all other clubs but the heavier regular 65g shaft felt best for this driver.
    Incredible driver, love also the sound and the feeling when sweet spot hit.

    You decreased loft, so you had it in a open setting and then put it in draw bias. Wouldn't these just negate each other? You should of been properly fit before reviewing.

    Enjoyed your vid, what gripes me is that within the last couple of months I have traded in my old Ping Driver and 3 wood for the Ping G400, and immediately Ping bring out the 410. Looks like they have joined all the other greedy manufactures , a new club every 12 months, bring back the old days when you could rely on Ping to keep the same model for a couple of years. Must admit I’m extremely happy with my Ping SFT’s G400’s.

    A tad unfair of you to publicly give a thumbs down review on the club. Based on how it looked, it was more the operator than the tool that was at fault...

  • @William45ish
    @William45ish 4 года назад

    I’ve upgraded from a G400 to a G410. They are virtually identical except for one major thing. The G400 was not very good when playing into the wind. It just fell out of the air for me. However, the G410 penetrates through the wind better and gets more distance. A little tip Andy, trying a Driver or any golf clubs on a seaside or links course is a bit unfair and doesn’t really give it a fair chance to perform to its potential. Try it on a normal course bud without the 40mph winds! Lol.

    With that much variables in the data means swing is not dialed in to generate consistency. Also you are coming over the top on your driver swing which does not promote a draw.

    It looked like you were hitting it pretty straight once you popped it into the draw setting, maybe only a slight fade (2-3 yards), compared to the much bigger fade with the neutral setting (15ish yards). As for dry ball data, I would imagine your strike varied quite a lot, which would explain the variance in numbers, not sure that should be considered a knock on the club.

    It’s time that Ping got into the adjustability of head weights. After all it’s been around for 15 years? or so.Manufacturers are forced to make changes to stay competitive. It doesn’t always mean these changes are for the better but, that’s marketing. To the mid - high handicapper this isn’t going to make a great deal of difference over the G400, just add to your Visa statement. Love my G400 and it’s turbulators and mat black finish.

    At last Andy some tells the truth your G400 max is a much better driver if you need a moveable weight but a bit of lead tape on the back of your driver head. In my humble opinion I think Ping have dropped a bolock making this Driver, they always made good looking no frills no bullshit drivers were you bought one took it out on the course and they just performed brilliantly.

    The CB Alta shaft in the G410 is not the same as the one in the G400 Max. From MyGolfSpy: "PING has added an 8-gram tungsten plug to the butt section of the shaft. The plug shifts the balance point higher to accommodate heavier heads." The new CB Alta is 63g for Stiff and the older one is 59g. While swing weight for both clubs are set up to be D3, there is a slight difference in the overall weight. I personally prefer the Tour Shaft to the CB anyway. Counterbalance shaft is a bit hard to fit. You either love it or hate it.

    • @timothydaniels504
      @timothydaniels504 5 лет назад +1

      F Lew I love the CB shaft but I’m a slow swinging old guy who gets a higher ball flight out of it. I understand exactly what you’re saying; it’s different. It gives me a kick through impact that I really need.
      I appreciate the information in your comment.

      The weight in the 410 SFT is heavier than the variable weight in the + version, according to PING the SFT will be beneficial for heavy slicers, whilst the + version is more for fine tuning the desired flight.

      You are wrong. he was hitting a fade in the neutral setting... changing the setting to a draw straightened out his shots quite a lot. I would say about 10-15 yards which is what the club setting was meant to do. If he was hitting it straight in the neutral configure, you would definitely have seen a draw. I think the comment someone made above about him not having the best ball striking day is accurate, and he also mentions this at the end of his video. On another day he would have had different results.

      Actually his isnt wrong...you are!!!
      He was hitting a little push cut in the N setting so he switched it to rhe Draw biased setting and that straightened it out quite a bit. If he had gone back to the N setting he would start hitting "nanners" out to the right again!
      Andy knows what hes doing. I def think if he put his gamer shaft in the g410 he would prob like the club a little more. Tough to test when its that windy.
