This video is now 7 years old so I'm not expecting any response, but I just wanted to say that I've always had an interest in cars, but it was this channel and your wonderful enthusiasm and descriptive commentary that really turned my interest into a passion!

What I like about this is Harry makes the car normal. Most Bugatti videos are all "OMG, I hope I wreck the car and kill a thousand people in this unmanageable monster!!!" Harry just drives it around, pokes it through villages, zooms some twisties like he was... driving a car. Good on y', Harry.

Bugatti must really like Harry to let him drive a Vitesse for 1000 miles like a regular car! Thats certainly why i like his videos, always using amazing cars and putting then to the test in great adventures!

The M. M. is just the place to show off that car. Almost everyone who is participating is the exact demographic that they want to market to. In my opinion the Vitesse being the mechanical marvel that it is, ends up almost dead last in style, and spirit of the Mille Miglia.

Well, Cristian; this is what it looks like to see a man that put in his time in the trenches and is now reaping the benefits of having well-connected and wealthy friends who want to have ‘the most interesting man in Britain’ show off their cars.

Harry and Tiff, my two favorite presenters. They're the best at describing the actual qualities of a car, instead of rambling on about flappy paddles and boot-space. Harry, if you read this, please invite Tiff on a drive and post it up asap. I'd enjoy it if you both just romped around in a Honda S2000.

An amazing combination of speed, more of that than any other production-car! Ever! And comfort, heaps of that too. And, and a service-interval of 10,000mls!!! Like any ordinary car! Making it utterly fuss-free, unheard of even for a car with half this amount of power. Bauhaus 1930`s design outside, and retro "steam-punk" luxury perfection inside. Quite incredible that those qualities are combined in one car. A phenomenal combination. I very much doubt that any manufacturer will ever do anything like approach that.

    • @pauljoe780

I'm not sure if this race uses the old Roman measure... or the statute mile... a British improvement and a little longer than the original, by act of Parliament... a mile is the length of a furrow one man and a team of oxen can plow in one day... presumably without a lunch break... but I don't know... 😁

Not having the means, I'll never be in the market for such a car but, even if I was lucky enough to afford one, I can't really see the attraction. In the first place, it's a fortune of money that could be spent on something useful rather than a toy but, even if one had not one egalitarian bone in one's body, I think the fuss of ownership would be somewhat sapping. Years ago, I worked freelance as a mechanic and got to drive all sorts of exotic machinery and, though it was always a treat, it wasn't necessarily always fun. I now have a very slow second hand car and still enjoy my driving with none of the pressures. There's a lot to be said for simple motoring and just blending into the background. Having said that, I'm currently re-engineering and re-bodying an MG Midget; it will be both a bit different and un-ostentatious.... and with only 100 horses, not that fast either. It will however be fun, practical and a bit different.

+Nick Nakorn Why do you feel the need to pontificate your opinion? Why should anyone care what you really think?

Same as you - same as Harry - same as anyone: social media and the comments sections that accompany the posts are for opinion and comment. I doubt anyone cares a fig about my opinion; oh wait, you do - you don't agree - fair enough.

+john marsh you're absolutely right of course, such achievements are admirable and often have implications for the designs of future mass market cars and, indeed, other applications. I'm in awe of the engineering though lacking the desire ever to own such a machine. For me the joy of motoring is no longer attached to speed - and if it were I'd probably be a danger to others anyway.

I'm with you, I now own a 2015gtc, it's quite powerful and lots of torque, but even that is to refined to be fun. Fun is a bad word, as it is fun. But you need to be pushing it quite hard to get to the limit.
Jump in an old Peugeot 105, and you can have lots of fun at speeds that won't get you in trouble. You'll probably want a 205gti, but even that is underpowered on comparison to today's variants.
I like the refinement of modern cars, but always enjoy riding it old hatchbacks, even the crappy one.
