      Stop the Philosophical Zombies
I used to say Jose Baez was the reason, but after watching other cases where people w/ good lawyers were convicted on questionable evidence, I’m not so sure. The contrast between the prosecutor’s monotone, colder style and Baez’s warm charming one ... maybe that had a bigger impact than we give credit for.

@@stopthephilosophicalzombie9017 The jury was interviewed following the verdict and they stated that they were unable to truly convict because the prosecution and medical examiner failed to provide cause of death and time of death, including a few other things I believe..it's truly sad that that is the reason that she truly was able to walk free.

As someone who was raised by addicts, Casey's behavior really hits home. I would be very, very comfortable saying she was involved in the drug scene and hung around dealers. Pretending to leave for a nonexistent job(s) is what does it for me, my mom would do the exact same thing. And "Zanny the Nanny" is really suspicious, Zanny is a nickname of sorts for Xanax, a nerve pill that's infamous for having sedative-like effects. I wouldn't be surprised if she drugged that little girl to put her to bed and get back to her wild life. Thanks for making this in-depth look at the case, it's very informative and eye opening. Shame she was able to get away with every wrong thing she ever did, even in the court of law.

I’ve always had a weird feeling about the name choice of this nanny. Zanny is also a street name of the drug Xanax, which is a drug that makes one sleepy. I absolutely believe Jesse when he says Casey was jealous of his love for Caylee. She had been the center of the universe as a popular girl at school and with parents that cleaned up after her lies and treachery. She felt powerful and adored, and she was used to being 100% in control of her narrative. When Caylee took the stage, her power was curtailed when she was not ready to let it go. That little girl deserved so much better, but her later childhood and teenage years would've probably been hell with a self-centered narcissistic mother like Casey.

@@HaveFaith_11 I think it's a guilt thing, honestly. My mother did the exact same thing with me, but in my case, my grandparents actually did fight for and attain custody of me when I was just three months old. But for the next 12 years, my mother instigated numerous custody battles. It was always clear that she wasn't fit nor really willing to be a parent, but I always thought she wanted custody because deep down, she knew that she was a horrible person for not caring for her child and wanted to rid herself of that guilt. That, and the fact that she always had to put on a façade when someone asked why she didn't have custody of me and manipulate the story to make it seem like SHE was the victim and hadn't done any wrong. I think it's something similar with Casey Anthony.

I had a great full time job as a medical coder w/ full medical benefits (& even worked another part time job as a server in weekends) but I lived w/ my mom still. When I told her she was like: “You are ruining your life”. Then when he was born he was almost 9 lb’s & I’m petite & I had a bad delivery . I was in labor for 23 hours & by the time I finally got him out he was in distress so I didn’t get to hold him, they rushed him away & he spent the night in NICCU. FINALLY, they got him stable & were bringing him to my room when my mom walked in. She immediately scooped him up BEFORE I had ever held him yet!! I was like:” Mom, I haven’t held him yet!!!” We all laugh about it now. Needless to say, they have a VERY close bond. But Stephanie made me think of that when she said Cindy held Caylee before Casey. My mom thought I was ruining my life by having a baby so young but she fell in love w/ him & she helped me raise him. He’s turned out so wonderful.

My dad stood in the back cause I wanted him to be there buuuut I didn’t want my dad seeing my lady bits😳. My dad had 5 children and had never been in the delivery room. So being able to see his granddaughter born was an incredible gift to him. He was a hard ass old school man and it was the FIRST time I ever watched him cry. He died shortly after and my daughter was super close to him. I miss him terribly and I never regret having him in the delivery room. I also have a few friends who have had their fathers with them (especially single mom’s who are super close to their dads) my sister-in-law’s dad was her labor coach and had her dad cut her son’s umbilical cord. Her boyfriend had been abusive and left during the pregnancy . Her father was her best friend. He was apprehensive but she gave him no choice😉 he also said it was incredible and was thankful to be a part of his grandson’s birth. So, I hope that gives you a different perspective on dad’s (or grandpa’s ) who are in delivery rooms.

not like dads haven't seen it. Dads change diapers too. gotta remember, up till the 80s men, well anyone outside the dr/midwife were not allowed in the delivery/birthing room.
its not inappropriate either, kinda putting dads on blast as perverts for saying "omg i don;t want my dad seeing my vag" as if he is a pervert. -_- in times of need a dad or grandad will have to step up and deliver a baby.

How was she never imprisioned for fraud, theft, or murder?

    • @giabarrone7422
      @giabarrone7422 6 лет назад +50

She was convicted/imprisoned for fraud/theft, but she was in jail for so long awaiting the murder trial, no additional time was served. She got off on the murder charge, because the jurors were idiots that didn't understand their judicial instructions, or forensics. Some thought finding her guilty was tied to a mandatory sentence (e.g. death). So they just let it slide, even though they thought she was responsible in the death.
Some let her off simply because they thought George was "weird", thinking that was "reasonable doubt" (despite evidence he had nothing to do with it). Others were confused because the body was so decomposed they didn't have a definitive cause of death and apparently disregarded the death by homicide ruling, including duct tape bound body disposed of in a swamp. There should be a professionally educated panel of jurors, or at least an IQ test.....

The verdict in Casey's case reflected the lack of forensic evidence and heavy reliance on confusing circumstantial inferences. There was no evidence of a cause of death, the time of death, or the circumstances surrounding the actual death of Caylee. There was a total lack of non-circumstantial evidence from which the jury could have inferred homicide.... let alone convict Casey.

I have a friend, someone I have known very well for 15 years, she is a family friend of my brother and me.
And she is also a compulsive liar. She lies about EVERYTHING, and she is not some young, immature kid,she is 55 right now.
She is constantly making up stories of shit that never happened. She is one of these people who lie just to lie even when there is zero reason to.
When people lie it is usually to cover up something bad that they have done, or to gain something for themselves, or just benefits them in some way. This is understandable, not saying that it excuses or makes it ok, just that you know, we can understand why they lied.
      This friend of mine though..
It is just absolutely insane. I am not at all exaggerating or trying to be funny by saying this, but she will lie about the most inane, unimportant things, like you could ask her what she had for dinner that night and she will tell you that she had meatloaf and mashed potatoes when she actually had chicken and rice.
You could ask her what time she got off from work the night before and she will tell you 10 P.M. when she really got off at 7 P.M.
It is really quite bizarre and obviously does get annoying, but we just accept that that is who she is and make sure to take anything she tells us with a grain of salt.

@@jaymeaaron Unfortunately, we sometimes have to cut family out of our lives. I had to cut my mother out of mine for about two years. I did go back around her, but I am going to have to walk away from her again and for good this time. She is just too toxic and abusive. She has always been abusive, but has gotten worse in the past few years. She cannot physically abuse me anymore like she did when I was a child, but she is very mentally and emotionally abusive. She is always calling me all the awful names you can think of, she says horrible things about me to my own young daughter, she has even on a few occasions, told me that she wants me to die. One of those times she said exactly this "My biggest wish every day is that you die from an asthma attack" my own mother said this to me.... because I did not have any money to give her so that she could get a pack of cigarettes. And I don't mean that I wouldn't give her the money, I mean that I literally did not have any money to give her, I was flat broke. She tells people awful things about me that are completely untrue. One of my houses where she was living with me caught on fire and she went around telling people that I set the house on fire with her in it because I was trying to kill her.. she was not even home at the time it happened. She is constantly accusing me of things that I did not do, things I have never and would never do, like stealing from her.
And the worst part about this.. the horrible things that she makes up about me and accuses me of are things that SHE actually does!
And all this is payment for me taking care of her and providing her places to live for the past 10 years so that she would not be homeless.
You have to do what is best for you. Just because we may be related to someone does not mean that we are obligated to let them treat us badly and make us miserable.

To me it almost sounds like she regrets a decision that she made rather than defending one that she didn’t, almost like she’s saying to herself “Why DID I do this? This has ruined my life” bc that’s what liars will do in order to be convincing they will use word play so the emotions seem genuine.
And of course by This has ruined my life she is talking about all the media attention from the murder, and NOT the fact that HER CHILD IS DEAD. Total narcissist/ sociopath.
