Thank you so much! When I turn on eye/face tracking in video mode, do I need to half press to focus? I find that if I half press, focus locks to just that one spot in the frame instead of the eyes/face.
That should only happen when you are in AFs mode... you need to be either in AFc (continous) or AFi. In the latter two modes, half-pressing the shutter will still look at every movement and will start searching for people/eyes. If you are on AFs and half-press the shutter, it takes the focus and does not move it again. If a person is in the frame, it will most likely take the face or eyes as a focus point. If no person is in the frame, it will be the middle rectangle in the middle of the viewfinder.
@@flofroschmayer thank you for the elaborate reply! I noticed that in AFs, if there is someone moving in the frame and I half press, it will track the eyes of that person and keep that person in focus. I think that works for me!
Hi ! Having a little problem, new to Leica…let’s say I want all automatic and only the aperture Manual, make some really dark image in a bright day, with F16, why the view finder /lcd doesn’t refresh in the same time as I move the aperture ? Just keeps the image bright…and only after taking the picture you can see the result ? Even with the half press on shutter you only see the image more bright or like it blinks 🙃 hope you understand I’m loosing my mind with these, Fuji, canon, all cameras I tried work with this
I think I understand the questions. Two Menu settings need to be checked: - 2nd page on the bottom: Scene Mode: needs to be set to PASM - 3rd page on the bottom: Exposure Preview needs to be to P-A-S-M Then, this works in every mode. If you want to turn the preview off when doing ALL in manually turn Exposure Preview to P-A-S
@@flofroschmayer it’s there 🥲 just doesn’t refresh in the screen or vf…only works after you take the picture, only on video works 🥲🙃 maybe is a Leica thing? Not allowed 🚫
A classic edit function is not available... BUT: you just active the profile you want to edit... for excample, profile 3, then all settings are like profile 3... then you make the changes you want to make, and when you are done, you go to save settings and choose profile 3 and overwrite the "old" settings with the new adjustments.
Nice overview of the menus. Perfect amount of info.
Glad you think so!
Very informative, short and sweet! Thank you!!
Thank you!!
wieder ein hervorragende video - es gibt nichts besseres🙋♂
😊
Wow! Danke!!
Very helpful. Thank you.
Thank you!
Very useful video thank you. Do you know how to set a button to centre the focus point?
Unfortunately, this is not possible with the Q3. It is possible with SL3, so I have hope they will include it in a future update.
@@flofroschmayer Many thanks.
Thanks for the info. Forgot to show us how to set up the button profiles. Would like your profile settings.
Coming... stay tuned!

When you are demonstrating the metering setting twice you referred to it as focus. Ver confusing
There is focus metering and light metering... two different things!
