just seen a video about a tent on a kayak, it was very cumbersome but if you used a hammock tent all you would need is a support frame on the kayak to hold the hammock tent just join 2 kayaks together 1 for the tent and 1for you to drive in
I have long been trying to figure out a Bimini top to be used for shade. I’m still thinking and looking for that perfect fit. There has to be a way to make one… mount into the track system with light tubes and just pull it up just like any regular Bimini top. It could easily fold down to the rear. If it gets windy, just fold it down.
I have a BigFish 120 and bought YakGadgets rear trolling motor mount for it. It was a perfect fit, absolutely bulletproof and was exactly what I need. There products are absolutely top notch quality along with function and fit.
Thanks for the videos! I got some inspiration and Ideas from watching. I will try to attach some photos of my current kayak trailer build. It's still a work in progress but thanks for what I believe are some good ideas.
Hey TJ, some critique to share with John, I bought a set of the rod holders for our pa12. It’s an older boat, I had to use a rubber strip to hold onto the round bar, and later on the top half of my front bracket came off going down the highway. We need to adjust that attachment a bit so it doesn’t wiggle loose! We do like our yak gadget products so far! Also, reach out to me and let’s discuss a helpful solution I have for our industry.
Great video! You are right, it’s exciting to rig your kayak, but it can get expensive. I can’t wait to check out the site! I just shared your video with all my friends. Thanks for your videos. I enjoyed them a lot! Jim.
okay, bought the 4 rod stager and one thing you didn't mention but amazingly I told a friend last week when we were out on the Chesapeake bay that I needed- the mirror.
That quad box flex is nice. I would like to see them take the quad box pro and give it those same straps that pull out your trays because that’s a really nice feature
Have you looked at a company called “LaidBack Rod Rack”? That will be one of my definite upgrades for my Jackson Knarr Mostly to open up casting room and to have a good spread for trolling, as well as the odd bridge here and there I’d have to go under.
Wow! Crazy yak with all the toys…it’s a serious setup you got. I’m not a kayaker, but I do have a 10 ft pelican bass raider and here for some ideas to add to my deck and maximize space on my small boat…thanks bro Just subscribed
I hope you can help. I have a Hobie Outback. The track system for mountain rod holders sucks. It flexes to easy allowing even the best of rod holders like Yakattack to fall right off the yak when I get even a small fish on. What suggestions do you have? I often troll two rods at a time. Thanks. Jim.
Just found your video. Loved it. I noticed toe tackle trays on the side of your live well. I have the XL version. Do they make the trays for it as well?
Just bought the flex rod stager using your code. Can’t wait to get it. Been watching your videos for years. Think you’re awesome TJ . You’ve come a long way. Keep up the great work.
I still think the Yak attack blackpak is the king at the moment. I got the 16x16 and it fits in my Old town sportsmen 120 PDL tank well perfectly. 16x16 because we're all tackle junkies....
Great vid as always. Question I’m currently fishing out of a future beach angler 144. And also new to kayak Paddling only will eventually upgrade to a pedal kayak so any advice on rigging is appreciated
I bought a brand new Hobie 360...used it 2x and went right back to my hewes flats boat. Loading and unloading the kayak was a real turn off to me....took the fun out of fishing. Sure, I have to load my boat...but its light years easier than trying to prepare a kayak and then store everything away again. But I can certainly see where to many the hassle is worth the savings versus a boat. I learned that a kayak just isn't for everyone.
Hey, I have a question unrelated to the products talked about in this video, even though I'm pumped to hear about this company. What did you use for your abrasion guard where your straps go across the hobie from your trailer?
LOL i been thinking LOL that's dangerous, not.. but still the foot pedal part could be replaced with a water jet thruster part and get some energy behind it
you could even do bladeless water thrust, that part would be molded into the hull at manufacture, it works on the venturi principle, using hi pressure water to gain thrust, the only moving part would be steering ie the rudder and water pump,, if an eel got sucked in it, would be blown out without harm
I love their products completely. Just wondering why you would have a 4 rod holder mounted on a yak that has 6 rod holders engineered into it to keep them out of your way?
Because I use the space inside kayak for other gear. While I’m fishing. The only time I use the built in horizontal storage is when I’m hauling the kayak. It is not ideal to fish with you rides stowed in the floor.
@@KayakUSA1 Yes, please do! I personally like the idea if you have the time to upload 2 videos. Possibly the first video of the week is for D.I.Y then the second video is for testing?
I drive a 10' LSF mirage propel kayak , weighs 98 lbs without all the toys. How much do these kayaks weigh now that you have all the accessories on them??? There has to be $2500 plus just in add-on toys on these yaks , salmon fishing is a hoot on these kayaks. Once hooked up it make take ten to fifteen minutes and a half a mile or more until you land the fish but it is a blast watching a twelve to twenty pound fish drag you around like you are nothing. I keep it simple compared to your setups, love the toys you have added but I think my wife would neuter me if I spent that much on my kayak.....ah at 58 I don't want anymore kids anyway.... Lol👍 👍 🇨🇦
The Quad Box Flex is awesome, finally a company has invented an under seat storage system! A suggestion for you or them: out of the 100's of hobies I've seen, no one really utilizes the front 2 mounting boards. I'd like an option to somehow safely hold/store your pedal drive sideways out of the way. Cheers
I have a AI and no useable sail or rudder. Hobie has overpriced their accessories and many times are user unfriendly. You tube is saturated making it hard to find useful info. Does every pedal drive well pour in water into the cockpit? It’s almost unusable for whet I doing. I need easy troller Mount, starboard platforms that are slip resistant instead of trampolines, and a seat that is raised under 100 bucks. Nothing out there. Kayakers are resourceful and with most useful mods unavailable or over priced a savy producer should bank as far as tracks for AI, I haven’t found any yet like the ones there.
You spent the first 5 minutes telling us, WHAT you were going to tell us.🤦♂️ after about a minute and a half, if a video can't catch my interest I stopped watching it. In the future shorten your introductions and get to the meat and potatoes! I'm glad that I forced myself to watch through the first 5 minutes to the end of the video. A lot of neat stuff on there, if you can keep their attention.

You will not be let down . These are quality products . I have had yakgadget products on my kayak for 2 seasons still look like new and built solid.
The anchor system is great too. With the slip clamp

Good stuff, I've been wanting to add horizontal rod storage to my big water...,I almost forgot about yak gadget...great stuff..
I have several yakgadget items on my Predator. Great products. Great price. John is an awesome guy to talk to also.
I have been using a few of their products for the last year or 2. Very impressed!

Awesome! You’re definitely gonna like that rod holder!!
Bought that low pro crate 2 years ago and love it .
Would you mind sharing how you drilled the quick track to fit for the Boondox?
Cool gear I'm working on a new two person with a Newport NT300 on it.
That quad box flex is nice. I would like to see them take the quad box pro and give it those same straps that pull out your trays because that’s a really nice feature
I've got the flex rod holders for my nucanoe unlimited. I've had them for half a year now and they are solid! I'm very impressed.
Hobie Quicktrack XD for the win. I absolutely love mine. Might have to do the mod as well.
You have those things set up like an old Cadillac Coup De Ville...😂😂 Nice....
Have you looked at a company called “LaidBack Rod Rack”?

Mostly to open up casting room and to have a good spread for trolling, as well as the odd bridge here and there I’d have to go under.

I bought their screen mount for my Helix 7 and I’ve been so impressed with the quality of it. I’m looking to get the rod stager and cup holder next.
That crate box is genius. I wonder how that fits on an SS127
I use Yak Gadget products on my Kayak
Good quality and has held up extremely well. Good product
Just got the flex rod 2 plus paddle. Hopefully using this week.
I love yakgadget. I also have their flex rod system and their cellgrip phone holder.

I actually made those myself, check out my kayak Livewell video to see more 👍🏼 Thanks for watching be sure to subscribe.
I love my yak gadget crate. I took the shelves out just to hold more items. I’d like to get a couple more things for the Nucanoe unlimited for sure
Man I really like those rails running from the drives to the back storage! Got to see if they make one for my old town pdl 106. Thanks for the video!
I didn't see the tubular rails. Is that a hobie thing? Thank you
Yeah those are Hobie H rails, they come on the kayak. 👍🏼
Well they are pretty sick. I may have to figure out a work around. Thanks for the info!

I know this isn't in the video, but what is the gray box under the rod stagers? Looks super helpful
It’s a Hobie box 👍🏼
What's the motorguide remote box you have. Strapped to the seat? Thx
It’s a case I 3D printed last year 👍🏼

Tell him to make a trolling motor controller holder like u made for yourself. The one u put on your armrest. Would Iike to have that option
What was that pull down tent in ur intro ?
If you have a video on that, can you tell me the name of it please?
Thanks man!

I’m not seeing that t-track and cup holder plate? I see them individually, but not the one piece you have?!
Does the hobie quick track attach to a track on an outback or is it just for the h- rail system ? I don’t have the h-rail
Not sure, you’d have to check the website. 👍🏼
Check out Tried N True Offroad fully custom overland trailers now getting into the kayak scene as well !
Awesome, will do 👍🏼
I would like to know where you got your steering from for your Rutter
They are built into the Hobies. 👍🏼
So you’re telling me I need to trade my SS 127 for Hobie
Would love to see a track system plate designed to hold a live scope pole or pvc!?
Great suggestion!
I'll have to check this out, I mostly have Scotty products.
How hard is it to cast/work baits to the side with the 4 rods running beside you ?
It’s not too bad , I got use too it real quick 🤙🏼
Great, thanks for showing me the website. There goes my tax return, lol. awesome looking products
No problem 👍
What we need is a set raising kit
Cool product. Checking it out now. Is there a way to just pull up Hobie only products?
I’m not sure, 🤔

How much for a fully built boat with seven fishing poles. With a motor up to ten miles.

This stuff is still stupid expensive but being made of starboard I know it will outlive the boat
Nice and all but all of these things are downright dangerous in case of a fall. Clearly is not the same conditions we usually go out in Chile.
