This is true. Even when you have the opportunity to listen to the audio logs made by Chroma Esi in the Ishtar vault below Neomuna, she even mentions Siva being used but more so as it was intended. Like Francis mentions.

I could see a version come back. There were many types of Siva produced and we only seen 1 type repurposed and weaponized. Imagine a DLC/season where the Fallen/Scorn have secretly found and have been using Siva to create a weaponized planet and we have to go in thinking it's a planet and finding out its all Siva that's been self-replicating and we have to engineer our own version to fight fire with fire so to say to shut down the Siva planet turning it inert waiting to be reprogramed for use. (against the witness while also allowing Siva to present in the story so its use for weapons and armor can be explained.)
A bit much to be honest, SIVA wasn't like Arc, Void or Solar, its 'different' types is purely on its programing not like its another whole product; it would also be hard to explain SIVA being used to make a entire world? That would be such as ass pull to explain; oh yeah, you guys just didn't notice a massive galactic spanning SIVA code trail that would most definitely take most likely eons to build.
Got my outbreak perfected just yesterday, couple it with the dcio feedback fence and warmind armor, slap on a dark red shader and boom, siva themed arc titan that looks like a currupted pile of pc components
SIVA is a cool theme of Destiny with endless possibilities for weapons, armor and content but will never be used by Bungie again because their dev team consist of 3 interns, 4 toddlers left over from bring your kid to work day and a janitor.
With episode 1 dealing with Nessus and Failsafe, I'll be quite interested to see if they explore SIVA again since the Black Exodus had it on board before it crashed
I can see this happening in the final shape road map, now that Rasputin is well... gone. Can blame clovis for that. Not to mention all the siva themes ornaments we have for armor and weapons. There was also the time during one of their bungie lives when they mentioned more returning raids that would get a new exotic if their original exotic drop was already in the game...
We may not get another SIVA storyline, but I’d love to see Neomuna’s nanotechnology explored more in a future episode. If Neomuna becomes official allies with the Coalition, factions could benefit from the advanced technology.
If after ghosts die they go back into the traveler like water droplets going into a bucket full, could you theoretically get their specific light signature from the traveler and bring the dead ghost back? Also how do hive become revenants, and how do thralls become cursed?
I’d be nice to bring some remnant of siva back to make an exotic weapon or armor like the pulse rifle that I can’t remember but it also had the same styling and everything as siva

This video points out a HUGE retcon of alot of destiny 2 media: if the SIVA replicator factories were destroyed, why did Outbreak Perfected return to us? If neomuna was created using SIVA, why wasn't there a factory in Neomuna? There are SO MANY PLOTHOLES that Bungie could have fixed when it came to the destruction of the nanite repositories in D1. God I hate upper management.

RoI was not as good as Taken King, but I really liked the SIVA theme, the raid, the guns. Also the DLC brought nice PvP content with amazing maps, weapons like Clever Dragon and the beautiful Trials armor sets with their glows. I really miss the good old times!
Funny siva subclass idea- it can replicate and create anything yah? Make it a pure rng based class. Melee ability? It could be any melee from any subclass and constantly changes mid fights, grenade? Yea same concept. Ult? Yeah it replicates any ult at random. All at the cost is the nanites do a certain amount of damge to your guardian
We destroyed the replication chamber. But we didnt destroy all the Siva that made it off of earth. Whos to say anither chamber wasnt made somewhere else?
See that's the part that always pisses me off about people saying oh no the Siva story's over we destroyed the replicator. It literally is self-replicating not on the same scale but it doesn't need the replicator. Obvious at the end of rise of iron that Siva had become self-aware and was now in AI . But sure the story is done because it was mostly work done by an outside studio and Bungie did everything they could to remove anything that was worked on right outside studio. Just look at the content they cut and destiny 2. The original campaign in the first two DLCs. They didn't cut them because there wasn't enough space and they would take up hard drive space. What I wanna see are Guardians enhanced by SIVA in the same way the Splicer Devils used it back in Rise of Iron from D1. Imagine something like an enhanced Blade Barrage with more movement in the air and even more knives, or something a Solar version of Arc Staff where you can dodge in the air, and it would be like a mixture between the normal Arc Staff and Gathering Storm, where you could press the grenade button/key to throw it like Gathering Storm. I've actually thought about this one for a bit, and I think if they made a mixture between a Solar version of Arc Staff/Gathering Storm and The Valkyrie javelins Rasputin lended us in Warmind, it could be a pretty interesting concept. I've even come up with a name for it already, although it might not be the best one for it: SIVA Lance. I dunno, just spitballing here.

Since we're going into the Traveler (Trav) in the Final Shape, and the Trav was said to be showing us our own experiences through what it saw, I believe the way Wrath will come back is the Trav will try and show us Siva and it will again become a problem. If you listen to the audio logs on Neomuna in The Veil Containment, Siva was used to help build the city of Neomuna.
