I need to mention at the beginning at the video where the different aspects of the game. Warframe has a space sea of thieves mode, 2 campaigns(that I’ve played) one where you have to input a CODE TO PLAY FOR VIOLENT ABUSE DEPICTIONS, and the other is available to play of the start and is like a god of war/rouge-like. Almost every single cosmetic and weapon/warframe is available for free without spending a dime. Oh, and fat asses.
Also, the actual nicest community I’ve ever been in. People will just offer to give you stuff and give you resource boosters by just walking into public areas.
Before I played destiny 2 for the first time in 2019, I first spent around 500h in warframe, back when the fortuna update came around and man I have to tell you, I came back multiple times for the new expansions because destiny was becoming more dry, the DCV happened a lot of nasty stuff, and over the years I saw 2 of my favourite games change, a lot, and I dont need to tell you that Destiny 2 went downhill and warframe became 20 times better, cuz the guy in the video already proved it to you. Love u cross, maybe try out warframe and make a video on it :D
You are a super positive influence on the wf community, and even if you quit today, I have really enjoyed seeing how the new player experience has changed since I started, and how you just document how your experience has been throughout your playtime.
@samhill88 Thank you for that. I don't think I'm any sort of influence on the community, nor do I want to influence the community. I just want to be the gateway for more people to find as much enjoyment as I did.
@@LegendaryDrops well, I think you have achieved your goal. Even as a vet, your perspective on the game made me take a step back and really appreciate what the game offers.
@@LegendaryDrops *Streamer doesn’t know moment* We all watch streamers in waves! It’s our second favorite endgame! I certainly remember the subreddit discuss your inputs when you were still knocking quests!
Funny thing is that Warframe did that to the chinese player base, giving them a red reskinned version of a grenade launcher, which is funnier considering of the cosmetic customization in warfame allows you to do just that if you want.
"what is a normal warframe interaction?" one time, back when nikana prime was new, i was just hanging out in one of the relays chatting away, and one of the guys there just gave me a nikana prime for free because i briefly mentioned wanting it. i still use it, too
When I switched from Destiny to Warframe, aside from everything in this video, one thing I noticed that NOBODY mentions is the file size. Warframe has been around for a decade, removed nothing... All of the story is there, all of the weapons are there, all of the planets are there... And the game is 40Gb. Destiny was pushing up on 150 when I quit playing it 6 months ago, with everything removed.
I think this was largely also due to player statistics mentioned at one point. DE knew they had a lot of players playing the game on older hardware, which even despite the graphics update over time, they had a "minimal" mode for graphics that "toasters" could run. When a lot of laptops out there can't even support 150 GB, but are paying customers, then you'll put effort in to optimize your game.
Best thing about Warframe for F2Players is that you can actually get everything in the game for free outside of player-made cosmetics and Prime access. The premium currency is trade-able with other players thanks to whales who buy premium, creating this nice thriving in-game economy so there's this healthy symbiotic relationship between F2players and whales that you rarely see in other games.
Also, since it is PVE the whales dont matter at all. And the way of earning platinum after some playtiome is easy and quick. you can Farm roughly 1platinum per minute without doing anything special and without any optimization. Basically you can farm 1plat per minute by using your favourite warframe and weapons. prime weapons and warframe cost somewhere between 20-150 platinum.
It's stupid to call people who buy platinum "whales" this is not a generic gacha garbage. Also. Getting a 75% coupon is pretty easy, people get platinum because they like to support DE, not because they want some advantage or anything.
@@nico._lombana 'Whales' isn't used as an insult here. A whale is anyone who spends far more than the average player. And I'm not talking about people who just occasionally buy a platinum pack. I'm talking about people who frequently buy thousands to tens of thousands of platinum. They're the backbone of Warframe's in-game economy. A 75% coupon is also a lot more rare than you think. Me and several of my friends haven't gotten one in over 2 years.
@@CelestialDraconis the % coupons are tied to the daily logins and you get them more often if you play less. I have gotten 75% 2x and 50% 4x this year alone. I sometimes dont play warframe for a week or month.
I would love to see him play the intro first then react to the trailers as it certainly fan the flames of this game because Warframe is a well deserved praises.
For me, every game I play has and had to compete with Warframe, and not a single one has come close. Warframe is this one game I always come back to and always have fun with. Having literally everything that the game has to offer I'm really hyped for 1999. For me, its literally the best game ever made. I logged 8946h since it released on steam, with me having no idea how many before that. I'm still logging in daily.
5746h Vet from PS4 release and I too am a believer! I tell all my new players that "Warframe is a master class in how to develop a game better than anyone else." TennoCon is on my bucket list.
I’m surprised he didn’t mention tenno con. They basically hold a contest for fanmade skins and whoever wins gets the skin added to the game. THAT is a crazy level of interaction with the community.
that is tennogen. Tennocon is their convention. like a ComiCon for all things Warframe...and Soulframe too these days also, it gets better those same skins...if you buy them on Steam, the skin creator gets 30% of the sales. though that does come at the cost of not being able to get them with platinum, which is also why other platforms do not have that offer
Or in my case, loving the fact that I don't have to dread not being able to catch up in power, when I come back. I can just power grind in a week with no content timegate, or take it slow and slowly reach the top while enjoying the ride.
Digital Extremes shot down the notion of making Forma eassier to get or cheaper in the store (it's not at all expensive but it adds up fast) by saying that "it's the biggest premium currency sink we have and honestly i don't think we can stand to cut it" and players understood. Honesty goes a loooong way
I feel it's important to mention, they did just buff forma farming some by making silver tier relic drops of forma blueprints worth 2 instead of 1, and if there's ever a gold tier one it'd give 3
I noticed this the other night when i came back to warframe after a few months away. Getting Forma Blueprints x2 from relic cracking is great. Not that I Don't have a load of forma from playing since the release of Fortuna @Iyla_Basil
The few times DE has to stand ground feel ok with the community because they're just that, few. People are ok with spending money on the game because the game and DE make you feel like you are respected as a player. I will drop $25-$50 every couple of months on Warframe because I love the game and how awesome they treat me. You will never catch me buying Destiny 2 seasons because that's just insulting to the player.
I mean, that is true but also they just changed it where silver forma on relics equals two honestly that’s a big deal and will help a lot of players early on
The music. Dude. We all lift together. For Narmer. Sleeping in the cold below. they all hit that emotional aspect, meet the expectations, and make you cry at the same time.
I have played WF on and off for years. At this point, I see absolutely no reason to play it. The game looks outdated, the combat feels comparatively terrible when held up against its peers, and the lack of endgame has become incredibly dissapointing especially as someone who got to experience the rudimentary attempts at building raids in the early days. One thing I learned about DE after a long time, is that DE really didn't care what the community wanted. They repeatedly released stuff that really didn't make sense, and nerfed things that the community found enjoyable.
Shout out DE Rebecca, genuinely the thing that keeps me coming back is the fact that the higher ups play their own game on stream and understand it at a deep level and interact with the community.
Pablo has been the absolute goat when it comes to balancing and reworking older or underperforming frames. Glad they gave him more reigns for this stuff
@@gascan7333 She has passion and a sense of direction with how she wants the game to be Its better than Steve adding in new gameplay systems every few months and abandoning it and letting the problems compound over a decade. Main reasons why there are a lot of bugs in it. I praise Rebecca for taking on the responsibility and she has been true to her word. Its gonna take her and her team years to fix the mess Steve left but she is up to the task. I always keep coming back and quitting Warframe but i think im there to stay.
I will say that while I have not always heavily played Warframe over the years, it is the one game I have never uninstalled. It has never been a game that I’m done with. It’s been the game I’m waiting on the next update for.
Yeah, it's why I always knew Destiny 2 could afford to lower their microtransaction prices or at least make their content free. DE does it with Warframe.
@@urazz7739you forget that DE make us like game so much that most of us buy things in that game when others free to play work on that 1% of players Warframe go on like 40% of them xd but yee destiny 2 still woud be able to lower it
@@urazz7739there’s a difference between a dlc and a new quest that only takes 30 minutes to complete. One is half assed while the other one is in more in depth has better lore and items aka destiny dlc’s or even dark souls dlc’s. Warframe doesn’t add dlc’s. The only one I would consider a dlc is new war and maybe duviri. Only 2 that had a dlc like structure. Think about this out of all the “content” we have in war frame there is only about 8-10 game modes in the whole game. Even through the missions. They use the same exact game modes. What this game had going for it is it’s free. And their characters do look pretty bad ass for the most part. If soulframe is anything like war frame I don’t think I will want to play it at all. I think it’s going to flop heavy. Now you’re trying to compete with a big big gaming company. These people don’t even have the intellect to create a game like dark souls or any of the souls series games.
Digital Extremes is one of my favorite dev teams, they participate in annual charities with there Warframe community and host donations. It’s truly a beautiful fan base
The other thing thats crazy about Warframe is that it has crazy plot twists in stuff that is like hundreds of hours in, and the community doesnt spoil it for anyone or ever talk about it, and the plot twists COMPLETELY CHANGE how you now play the game, not just a story beat
@@raynenolan2864 I think you're misunderstanding. It doesn't take hundreds of hours for the gameplay to change, gameplay is constantly changing as you go through the story, they're saying the game is STILL changing hundreds of hours in.
Something he mentioned that I dont think people touch on, you occasionally get a discount ticket from just logging in, to get up to 75% off purchasing platinum, the ingame currency
@AztecrossGaming something that wasnt mentioned in the video that DE does is they have such a loving community that they have their own even called Tennocon which is literally like a warframe only gamescom or comic con, its really cool
I love Steve the ceo's story. He was the lead of the player feedback and QOL team. The first thing he did when he was promoted to ceo he "changed the DE office lighting engine"... the first thing he did was change all the lighting in the dev spaces and offices and said "we're changing the lighting engine".
Steve Is a Man of Great ideas but sadly he lacks the means to make them possible, it took 2 years of updates and just now I see what steve envisioned for railjack, he wanted to make railjack the hub for missions working at the same time as a warship and the orbiter but he lacked the workforce to maje it possible
Warframe's quest's are some of the most awestruck I've ever been, because you're not expecting pure cinema, especially when the music kicks in. The tempestarii is calling Cross.......
@rjmacready6693 it's not mindles my guy, it's the tutorial... unlocking all the systems teaches you how and what to do without overwhelming every new person with hundreds of mats and items and frames and mods to juggle in the first 30mins...
@rjmacready6693 You mean hide behind fun gameplay? I'm taking my time and enjoying every hour of horde slaying and Frame farming. I've seen people play COD mindlessly for far longer to no true end or achievement by comparison.
@@rjmacready6693it isn’t mindless grind in warframe you always grind for something you go from planet to planet there game literally tells you how to progress through junctions. Just because you don’t like the game you don’t have to say it’s garbage because you damn near do the same in destiny and I’m a fan of both games warframe is easier to pick with it being f2p and having the content in game all you have to do is just reach that point.
@@rjmacready6693 I wonder how many more times you'll get ratio'd. Warframe didn't originally hold my interest, but that was probably because I was a dumb kid. Now? Now I _love_ the game. Been playing Warframe as a compliment to Destiny for years. Thousands of hours. I’ve convinced nearly everyone on my friends list to at the very least try Warframe, and while it’s not for everyone I’ve never heard anyone say it’s not massively impressive. It’s literally bonkers how much there is to do in Warframe. Try the game.
this^ i love destiny, but warframe didn't hook me when i tried it. played until new war(havent done it yet) and put about 70 hours into it. after a while, i decided that its just not for me. great game, great systems and devs, but its missing the same thing that makes me love other games. just not for me, and thats okay.
@@datdudetriple It keeps getting better, they’re not afraid of power creep because it’s fun to be powerful. They just embrace it. (Yes, things get tuned, but only when they’re way out of line)
@@bradfortner8921 The amount of power creep is what made me not like it and also stop playing Destiny. I put a little over 100 hours into Warframe and realized there is never going to be something that takes skill to be able to do. I've put over 1000 hours into destiny and stopped once it got to the point I could carry my 2 very bad friends through a GM in 20ish minutes without really having to try. Being powerful should be a reward for good play in my opinion not something that is handed to you
@@alonula6093 I think thats something people also need to realize. Not everyone is gonna like a game. And as a game changes, some current players may decide its not for them anymore, and thats ok.
My man, as someone that has played Warframe since closed alpha, lemme clear something up. Even the vid you reacted to, as in depth and well written as it is, can't describe everything that Warframe has done for their players. Any comprehensive list would take hours. It is absolutely incredible the kind of stuff the Devs have done, and even more than a decade later I still find myself impressed as Digital Extremes pulls 200% at being good devs. I genuinely suggest you give it a try. If nothing else you might get some hours of fun outta it. But on the other hand you might find a game that will give you thousands of hours of enjoyment, it really is that good.
It’s true devs are legitimately awesome plus are very heavy pc gamers to the point where they do detail analysis if there’s an issue and warning players if a certain part (this year was Intel) is doing it with the charts to back it up They could just say it’s this sort don’t use it nope they actually show there test results to back up there conclusions and wanting to make sure the manufacturer knows it’s an issue
@@derigel7662I heard pple make the excuse that the game storage would be too big and whatnot but why not just make it like cod where u can choose to just download the content u want. Really baffling how many people are ok with vaulting content

In the 10+ years Warframe has been a thing, Digital Extremes has only ever removed one thing worthy of note, that being the 8 player raids. On top of that, the loot that was exclusive to the raids was repurposed and utilised seamlessly into newer and more accessible content.
My brother loved and played the hell out of this game when he came across it when it came out. Continued to play it because it was free and continued to grow really well. He sadly was diagnosed with cancer in 2017 and continued to play it after he could do nothing else but chemo and be at home or the hospital until his passing in 2018. Watched many hours just spending time with him letting him do his thing and relax. He was an arcade kid in the ealry 1980's and played all the different styles of games Dungeons and Dragons all that good stuff... Anyways (sorry so long) He saw something in this game that I didnt understand at the time. After bringing myself to try and play it is a well. The game really is built well, fun and if you want it to be, with some time, a free game. Just wanted to put this out there and say thanks to the people who made this game and the work they've continued to do and grow on. They gave my brother a great ecsape from a harsh reality. (Which is what good games are for at times, aren't they?) and I was given fond memories with someone I loved enjoying his video-game. Thanks again 😊
Been playing Warframe off and on for a few years now, I like the Crafting timer. We call it "The touch grass mechanic". It's there to give you a reason to STOP playing, recover from any burnout, and play something else while you got shit cooking in the forge. It's kind of genius. Also they don't delete content, so it's not like you can't get something if you miss a big event.
Its a pain at times but i like it due to the fact that it makes me focus on other stuff for the mean time, amd by the time i get it i already have another lined up to craft.
And it's not like you can't spend plat to bypass the timer if you're in a hurry. Even rushing an item in the foundry comes out cheaper than simply purchasing in the market, even if you have to buy the slot and potato seperately. Especially for a warframe, not so much of a savings for weapons though.
the Crafting timer is one of those things that seems really awful at first. new players stumble on it hard like "what do you mean i just had to speed a week farming this warframe, now i have to wait 3 and a half days to build it?". but if you get over that initial sticker shock, you soon realize "wait. . . i can craft an infinite number of items in parallel?" who cares if a new sword takes 12 hours, i can craft 12 new swords at once. you go from "it takes so long to get anything" too "i have way too many things, i cant get my Foundry empty". and that sets you on the brand new problem, "why TF everything cost slots?!?" but that problem has its own solutions by the time you get there too.
"A normal warframe player interaction" - You ask something, people help you. I've had a person complete a mission like 5 aditional times with me just because I was getting unlucky. Had a player gift me stuff, and in several hundred hours I played, I've had 2 unpleasant experiences (aside of waiting for new players which can be slightly annoying). You have a global chat where you can ask anyone for help. It's amazing!
Yee frame become a litle bit hard when you go up abaut 20 mr people start thinking you must know that we keep together on survival for more easy farm not end relics mission befor evryone open it ect, if you not use some of thos rules we can be pretty toxsic for warframe, for like league we are angels
As a founder. The ways they try to introduce new and more convoluted time consuming ways to get a very small chance of a piece of another mediocre thing..... It's getting tired.
@@phaedruslive at least theyre still keeping up tho. also, most of the newer things have a pity system. hell how much of the new weopons and frames this year so far have had a pity system?
@@phaedruslive Not really, ever since Reb became director shes pretty much been getting rid of the strict grind and instead has been adding forgiveness mechanics.
I don't think Warframe is that good to be honest. It's a bit of a laugh but not something I find myself wanting to grind or play most days. That being said I have a similar feeling towards destiny these days too.
I watched Legendary Drops go thru his WF journey over the past months, and seeing his genuine reactions to WF as he progressed was priceless. "Why is nobody talking about this" i heard him say a few times. Fact is , WF is an older game, that has been dwarfed by Corporate advertising and suits backed by the promise of quarterly profits, that likely is a large reason why. Regardless, Its is nice to see some of you larger Content creators come through and give WF the Exposure it truly deserves, We Tenno love our game, and we love the devs behind it, and that symbiotic relationship has flourished over the years and shows in the way WF has progressed. Great vid Cross. 💯💯
Founder here. Their decision to go free-to-play and not pay-to-win, initially, is why I invested. To this day, Warframe is a game I love to play, albeit not as often. So happy to see their success.
Hello, I'm what is considered to be a "pro" (I've been playing for a solid 700-something hours in total) I have founder friends who complain about the new dev team of warframe because of the early days of the switch where new players were apparently reporting founders after receiving help, causing the founders to get banned. Is that true?
You remember Eververse, and how Bungie coined it as a way to fund the content and Expansions that they would develop? The Warframe Marketplace is the exact same in idea, except that it actually funds the content and updates that DE develops. Every single content update and mainline story quest in Warframe is free, because the marketplace funds these pieces of content.
Yeah I totally remember when eververse came out, that was Destiny 1 iirc and they promised it would be cosmetic only and all future DLC would be free as justification for adding MTX to a paid game- Well, technically I don't think they lied, Destiny 1 got 2 free expansions (sure you had to buy a PS4 and a "next gen" copy without cross play) before they released Destiny 2 just after, so TECHNICALLY all new DLC was free in D1. Really scummy and it was the reason I quit. Now I play Warframe instead and I always feel good when I decide to spend plat to save time because I actually have a choice and can decide if it's worth my time/ support, versus getting bent over in Destiny and having it forced on me.
A month ago my clan of about 100 players came together to buy a ps5 for our clan leader for his birthday. Edit: We all knew he really wanted one but simply couldn’t afford one so we secretly communicated to gather the funds and sent a ps5 to his house on his birthday. Think about that, nearly 100 people who have never met each other irl came together to buy our leader a 500$ console. He has supported and maintained the community we all have come to love and cherish for nearly a decade and we all wanted to give back to him. I can’t think of any other clan, community, or guild of any game I’ve ever played that would have done that. Warframe is special not only for the game it provides but also for the relationship and community it fosters.
Thankfully, I don't think this is all that rare. Especially with folks that put a lot into guilds/clans/etc and help to build a community; a community that would probably be lacking without them. Did this a few times with others in Everquest, buying better graphics cards ($$$ in 2002ish not the modern $$$$ cards) for guild members that did all the footwork in raids so they could keep up when the graphics updated. I know a girl (a main healer that never missed raids..it was a huge hit to us when she moved from EQ to WoW) that got a laptop in WoW from her guild when hers broke too. There's good folks in most games, or I'd like to think so.
This is one stepping stone I think you need to embrace. Warframe is different, and therefor needs to be approached and played differently. Looking forward to see you try this game Aztercross. You have NOTHING to loose.
A "regular interaction" in Warframe is, you join a mission, ask a question, and people in your squad answer and help you out. Or you ask a question in the Q&A chat, and you get 5 people PMing you telling you how X is done, or inviting you to a squad to help you out with something you're stuck on.
Legendary Drops has some phenomenal videos about quest lines, great progression of "this is the best quest" "no THIS is the best quest" "NO, THIS is the best quest"
For me, best quest is Call of the Tempestarii mainly because of that song. It is short, but God do I love that song and the fact they let you try Sevagoth's shadow during the mission.
@@mad0813 Well, he does seem like the typical "I've tied my whole career to online games, so I have to glaze them." kind of youtuber. I quit Warframe over 3 years ago because the game just never felt like it knew what it wanted to be. Is it a mission based hallway shooter, or open world? Is it PvE or PvP? Is it land combat or aerial? Is it shooting or power spam? Is it actually engaging and fun gameplay, or grind the same mission for weeks to get one blueprint part with an abysmal drop rate? And then of course he starts his video talking about all the challenges DE had in making the game. As if that somehow makes the existence of predatory, cash-shop riddled live service games in the gaming space more acceptable. And I know about the plat discounts. I used them several times. I still think live services are trash, and that gamers are being willing tools by buying into them.
a shame he just saw 99% of the railjack content in that 10 sec clip. the mode deserves some love, especilly if that means the ground to orbit, to objective, to new system type chained missions (keep each one short n sweet, 5-15 mins tops)
I’ve been waiting on Cross to make a video on Warframe ever since Destiny started not doing as well. I started about 2 months ago, and I’ve never been disappointed with it. Easily one of my top games now and I’m sad it took a whole meltdown from Bungie for people to realize how great and vast Warframe is. Once you get to the Heart of Deimos, Second Dream and beyond, your mind just continues to be blown.
i think when I really got hooked was "Chains of Harrow". Loved that creepy vibe, it was unsettling, even as powerful as I was at the time. Kinda hoping 1999 brings back some more horror/suspense.
@@avaliantsoul5408 Chains of Harrow as a MASSIVE tonal shift for the game I wouldn't expect anything like it to make a comeback as this point, but never say never. probably put it above half life 3 on the list, but not by much
Watching Aztecross react to this makes me wanna watch him living the experience warframe is without knowing what u getting into. 2k hours after im looking for people reactions to the quest i played long a go, Legendary Drops was by far, in my opinion, the best i've seen reacting to warframe from 0. So entertaining
Before I even watch this through, Cross, just wanna say...happy you're even watching this at all. Genuinely appreciate it. It's a large game to undertake, and any coverage it gets, even just to respect what it's done in the genre and space it sits in, is great. So genuinely thank you. 👍
@urazz7739 Viewers will guide him and he'll see the best it has to offer. And that's not grinding for every little thing. Just seeing the quests and cool systems, that'd be enough for me.
I remember that Total Biscuit review. He's still missed to this day. But he did pave the way for future content creators and definitely helped Warframe when it needed so. Great person recommending a great game
i still remember the video when rebecca heard about TB passing. you could see how much it affected her. and even though she was in the middle of a prime time stream, she just couldnt keep going and had to end it early. that heart is what set DE apart from other devs.
When I played warframe I had someone go "Hey give me ammo drum mods" and I had like 30 of em. He gave me the mods for the frame I was using, all of them maxed out, for ammo drums. I had other people help me with where to go, how to figure things out.
The whole thing about warframe's community being great is no lie as I was playing a mission and someone on my team bought and gifted me an entire skin pack that included a character skin, weapon skin, and cosmetics just because they saw me using that character. It touched my heart seeing that act of kindness.
Inb4 "well technically". No. There is no pvp in this game guys. D2s pvp scene is and always will be infinitely more substantial and superior, no matter how dead or underserved unfortunately.
Started playing warframe last year during the down time, the way i saw the CEO and several high ranking members of the company just sitting down and streaming semi often just felt great. One thing that got me excited during into the light was seeing the devs sitting down in a similar way and them doing it still adds alot, its not alot at all but it just feels good to see the people that work on the game I like talk to us not only through text, but also through video. Wont ever see Pete Parsons sit down on stream, but he isnt like Steve whos an active developer at DE at the same time as being the CEO
Honestly the only other Dev i can think of that cares this much about it's player base is Hello Games and No Man's sky, Hello Games has gone so far above and beyond on their content releases and free expansions, it was a game i loved from day 1 much like warframe that i will always support them. Cant wait for Light no Fire and Soulframe!!
I'm sure about 2000 people have said that already but: play until Second Dream. It's free, you got nothing to lose. But boy... if that sledgehammer of a quest hits you as hard as it does for most people? You'll be in the Origin System for a pretty long while.
Witnessing a character creation screen... And realizing that you only just NOW beat the tutorial like 50-100 hours in, is truly a unique gaming experience. It's incredible.
The storyline and lore was trash. It’s the grind for weapons that’s made the game fun. Once you get the majority of items in the game the game becomes boring after an hour or 2 of void cascade
Need a better way to rehook players that don’t have much if any content left in the game. And no adding a few primes does not hype the game back up, for a vet player it takes almost no time to get the new items. Took me a couple hours to get sevagoth, nautilus and epitaph prime. It’s a copy and paste kinda of mechanic, all they do is change the look of the pasted item but it’s the same thing over and over and over again. Yeah to most I sound like I’m just bitching but wait till you’ve played for about 4 years on and off because it doesn’t take you to constantly play everyday to get the items quickly, than I feel like people will understand. Lots of vet players agree it’s a repetitive thing, the core game itself is boring. With out the grind for items the game is mid
DE is also complete dog water, matter fact doo doo water when it comes to responding to support tickets. You spend an hour in a mission and then lag out just to lose all your items you farmed up during that hour. No response when you hit DE over it. At this point I’ve lost about 700 steel essence because of that. I’ve had better luck contacting blizzard over Warcraft 3 reforged than having these fuckers award me my rewards I grinded for. If they don’t have enough people for that department than what the fuck are they doing trying to grow and expand a game but not their technical support team? That’s just ass backwards. It may not die out quickly but everyone though elder scrolls online was going to be going strong for years and years. Now the game only has about 400k or less players worldwide. Worldwide. They’re not adding end game content for end game players. The game is dying. This dude is down on all 4 sucking DE’s balls because Destiny is dying and he’s found something that peaks his interest again to remind him that fun he used to have with destiny but the game is extremely easy extremely easy. I solo anything and everything because they’ve made the game so fucking easy it’s ridiculous.
Destiny players: This new weapon or power is fun Bungie: nerfed Warframe players: This new weapon or power is fun Digital Extremes: We made it a core mechanic. Have fun. That's all you need to know.
that's not to say they dont nerf stuff. they do, they nerfed trinity so many times, to the point people just stopped using her(but they are going to buff her next), they also nerfed explosive weapons. but those nerfs came because they were affecting other players. trinity was a healer and was outdpsing every single other frame with ease, and the explosive weapons were making it unfun for people others who werent using them. so it became a race to see who could explode more. explosive weapons are still very good, but more importantly, when they nerf stuff, they tell people. just look at smeeta kavats. they told us LAST YEAR that they were gonna nerf them, and they still havent. and when they do, they will gift some stuff to the players to try and make up for the resources invested. when they cut the cost of some stuff, they often give alot of those resources back to the people who paid those when crafting. its very rare for them to just nerf and forget, or shadow nerf. often when people think something was shadow nerfed, it would turn out to be a bug. like when they reworked oberon, back when his prime came out. and people thought he was weaker.
Just look at the new exotic auto rifle. It’s not as good as pre nerf still hunt but it’s pretty good and instead of bungie embracing it they plan to nerf it
Dante got nerfed within a day of his release cuz they said he was too strong. Don’t act like they don’t nerf things because they like for things to be “fun”
@@jeffjameson5082 they did indeed nerf him, but then upped the number to the middle for Overguard, realized LoS is inconsistent and fixed it across multiple abilities, made the status damage buff bug into an actual feature. One of the most fun and easily obtainable late game frames we got. I think they had handled it pretty well for that situation.
A bit late to the party on this one, but let me give you a positive story from the Warframe community. A few months ago I decided I wanted another prime warframe. I'd farmed my first, honest and legit, but I was willing to pay for the second. So I bought some platinum and went to the player market. I offered what I had come to understand was a fair amount, and waited for a reply. The first response I got was someone telling me that I'd offered too much; it was an older prime and the value had gone down. The second person that messaged me said the same, and offered to sell me the blueprint I needed for half my offered price. I made the deal, said my thanks, and had to politely inform six more people that were giving me the same warning that it worked out okay. The entire community was so focused on making sure I didn't over pay that not a single person tried to scam me.
I recently took the plunge after seeing Matics give it a shot and I honestly don’t see myself looking back to destiny. The learning curve is crazy but it’s captivating to say the least. Join us Cross, you wont regret it bro
Yea the learning curve is intimidating. Anytime I play, I've got frame builds and about a dozen google searches in various tabs. Warframe is literally it's own world, and I love it!
I've been a Destiny player since day 1 of D1, and I feel so committed to it that I've just never wanted to try any other game as my primary game. Friends have been recommending me Warframe, and after watching this video, I am now downloading it and am really excited to try it.
I'm so glad this is starting to happen. People are starting to notice Warframe, getting out of the corporate shackles where they have to pay money to play games. I really hope you enjoy this game :)
Hope ya have fun with it. It's got a lot in common with Destiny, but also a lot different. Hope your buddies can give ya pointers to smooth out the early experience.
Happy to hear it guardian! Maybe someday soon I can call you tenno! It's got a tough learning curve, I'm a destiny vet myself (didn't start off quite day 1 d1 but still pretty close) It'll be hard but you have to throw everything you know from destiny out the window. It's similar in nature but a whole dofferent animal. Main goal, just have fun with it!
I swear to God, everytime a new player joins Warframe it's like everyone who knows about it gets like a Zenkai boost. While I was reading this, I smiled because we all know what you're going to experience. But remember this, no game is perfect but damn is this one fun.
I still remember one of my first interactions with the Warframe community. I remember how hard the game was to get into if you didn't have someone showing you the ways. At some point i met someone, I don't remember the circumstances but he said something along the lines of "I know the game can be hard on new players so take this as a little something" as he gifted me Warframe slots for the Premium currency. I stopped playing for a lack of Friends at the time (which was until cross save and i had veteran friends come over) and he stopped before i started again. I didn't understand the gesture back then but now that i do I'm still waiting for him to come back online one day so i can thank him properly.
I’m LR 3 and I have well over a thousand plat I have earned through trading. One of my favorite things to do is find new players and help walk them through the early game.
Warframe isnt a "Cult" ,, we are just a group of gamers who play a game which is a true testament to DE listening to the playerbase, making a game which is fun to play ,has a great community and nothing is out of reach ,, everything your video mentions. When people say "Come play Warframe" its because they know that however jaded to game you maybe ,, you'll enjoy the experience.
You got it right. The Warframe community isn't a cult, they're just really passionate about a game they like. It's really no different from communities of BG3 and Outer Wilds. Turns out treating your players well leads to positive discourse of your game, isn't that crazy?
11 years of content, all in game, all for free, nothing vaulted, constantly evolving game, bullet jumping, over 50 unique Warframes to build and play, not locked out of a play style without making a new character. Warframe is pretty damn sick and im mad it took me 10 years to figure that out. I had played a little here and there when i got a launch PS4, a little in between but ive taken a full dive into it since The Final Shape and its glorious.
@@Frog-Shaped-Slime I still have my Excalibur Prime and can still use it, Vaulting means NO ONE can use that piece of content. It's Unobtainable but not Vaulted.
@@andriinechaiev994 It has PvP, the community just doesn't play it because they prefer the PvE. As for Endgame, we've had endgame activities for a while now, they just don't follow the typical raid formula.
The way cross was talking is like someone in an abusive relationship not thinking a good healthy relationship is possible and even convincing themselves that it’s a pipe dream. As a long time destiny player I’m downloading warframe again. I haven’t played since 2013 I don’t think. I just want to support developers who do something this awesome and this consistently.
Omg, I'm excited for you for all the awesome content you have yet to experience in Warframe if you're just getting back into it from 2013! You're gonna have a blast.
The ONLY reason Destiny isn't completely dead as a concept at this point is that there are just players who refuse to switch from FPS to TPS. I was one of them for awhile but I finally changed my tune. Bungie better innovate soon before more players follow my line of thinking.
Holy, he can play both games. I do, people act like there some sort of vow to one game or another. Couldn't he just switch between them in-between content droughts like dam.
The warframe community is genuinely nice asf. Just yesterday I was doing my first lick runs because before I was hardstuck since I never owned a necramech all these years and I ran across this random guy with a mic that sat down with me for 2 hours farming the tenet glaxion and teaching the mechanics. Gotta love the community just helping for the hell of it
i feel like every veteran at one point or another just took someone under their wing and guided them for as long as they could. i know i did it more than a couple of times. same with my friend. and its possible that if not for the veteran that had done that for us back when we started playing, we might not have stuck long enough to see the second dream, and really fall in love with the game.
@@marcosdheleno i remember helping out low MR players get their first something whether it was a prime or Kubrow egg. Something about warframe that just bleeds community and that’s something that was lost with destiny. You try doing a raid or dungeon with randoms and they’ll straight up leave without saying anything the moment someone needs to learn a mechanic. Even now whenever someone needs help and I have time I’ll definitely lend a hand
@@marcosdheleno Genuinely one of my favorite things to do in Warframe was to play content that newer players would find difficult in order to help guide them through (not just carry them, but also give them tips and help carry them through any game-ending mistakes). It was just so rewarding to be able to help others in the same way I was once helped when I was that new player struggling to handle the infested (way back in the beginning of open beta).
I remember a while ago when I came back into WF a random player I talked to gifted me a hildryn prime I don’t use it that much but it holds sentimental value to me because at that time I hadn’t put as much hours and didn’t know as much as I know now and that player’s kindness kinda was part of what cemented me into warframe officially. 700 hrs later I’m now MR 16 and super excited for 1999 and Koumei and very glad WF became my main free to play.
I’m level 25. Ever since level 15 when I got great equipment, I have gone my way and volunteered my time and effort to spawn in or join newer players and ensure they survive and/or finish mission. I have many times given extra platinum to players especially newer players as well as given many free stuff
ive had a friend who played D1 & D2. Always putting down warframe as a 'mobile game'. Well, one of his favorite D2 youtubers swapped to warframe and gave it so much praise he immediately went to download it. i watched the video, and it basically told him the same things I've said many times for why i love warframe. 😂 I definitely found this funny. He has played it now every day, actually putting in more hours daily than i do. I'm more than happy to be there to help guide him through the beginning.
those are often the types that will burn out, then quit and gripe because they think having a large backlog of content also means it will have a non stop flow of that same content once they "catch-up" warframe past the story is a casual fun-run with some neat participation stickers and crane-game of copy-paste-repeat farming, butrnignthat hard on it rarely sets yo into te long term mindset, tho thankfully you can d 95% of what's live (except events) after the intro FOMO missions done.
@@IRMentat yes and no. ive been playing warframe since 2015, in that time i have taken several breaks from it. even some breaks lasting years, to where i thought i'd never plat it again. and here i am, watching this video while playing warframe lol. the thing is, is if you feel like theres nothing to do you can take a break, and when you come back, the game will just be even better with more content. with your point of it being the same thing over and over, so is destiny? its literally the same raids, the same strikes, over and over. and it also restricts you with the amount of rewards you can get within a week. warframe? no restrictions. warframes main gameplay is not story oriented at all. so, once you make it through the main story, you honestly just have access to the actual game from whatever is locked behind main story quests.
It's not that it "can be done" it's been done and they are still doing it to this day. DE is a developer that has actual passion for their creation and respect for their audience.
6:15 the reason why a lot of scifi games weren't approved at this time was because modern warfare type of games were popular, and science fiction was seen as a "con" because consumers would say they preferred "realism". At this time gaming market was very much dominated by men in the united states, and that plus the country being still very invigorated by the events of 9/11, "realistic" shooters were the big money maker. Halo was more or less the exception to this at that time.

@@virulenthunter3017 well 10 years down the road D2 is dying and WF is still going that speaks volumes Bungie done Fd up and the greed for money shows hence why D2 is dying hell its dead to me. I bought the new DLC and havent really touched it I found better and more games to play.
I posted this on a different video of yours, but it fits here; The thing for me (originally referring to destiny) is, almost everything I've heard Bungie say they couldn't do for whatever reason has been done successfully in Warframe. "if we add player trading, it'll kill the loot chase"; WF has it and I still love grinding for stuff regardless. "we can't fully implement weapon crafting for everything because that kills the loot chase"; again, nearly every weapon in WF is craftable, and they circumvent this issue mostly due to the expansive mod customization options. "We had to remove x content because the game was getting too big"; WF has almost every piece of content still accessible and playable in the game from the point it launched in 2013 to now. It's complicated for new players sure, but nothing's vaulted like in D2. "We can't add matchmaking to everything"; nearly every activity in WF can be done solo, with a squad, or with randoms via matchmaking. Beyond all of that, WF has stuff like space combat, aerial combat, clan bases that are fully customizable (clan dojos), pet breeding, even the in-game UI can be customized. WF is just as old as the destiny franchise and still going strong 🤷♂️ Edit to add--even things like the recent issue with Bungie devs using fan art without permission; Digital Extremes actually partners with artists in the community when they come up with a cool looking skin and splits the profits with them to put their creation in game. It's called Tennogen and some of the best WF skins are in it lol
One other cool thing that i think makes the developers more awesome is since warframe is an online live service game if the game ever dies and the servers get shut down u have an option in the game launcher to start a dedicated server so u can enjoy the game
Ehh. The dedicated server in the launcher is only for conclave matches (PvP). Maybe in the future DE could release the server files but for now it isn't really useful.
joining this games community was a huge change. coming from games like destiny 2 and league, the interactions here were purely positive. trades were often tipped with at least one extra platinum, after every trade, both people are obliged to say thank you, and new players are invited to clans and helped within the first 20 hours of playing. ive never had a negative interaction, and the good players arent cocky about it, but welcoming. people share builds and fashion not to show off but to help a person trying to copy it. edit: if you try out the game, finishing the main storyline will take at least 200 hours unless you trade for some of the items you need to progress. after that, there is so much content still, and so many warframes that are fully unique to try and customize. the story starts off slow and unimpressive. the missions seem repetitive and so far from the quality of destiny expansions, but as you continue, it is insane.
I think that's one big reason why I'm genuinely glad Warframe PVP is dead, cuz it drives away a lot of people with a toxic level of competitiveness; since it's 99.99% PVE and everything is attainable, it means anyone with a "better" build can and will eventually be caught up to or even surpassed with some effort meaning once you're past a certain threshold of being a noob, the only difference is EXPERIENCE and not something like SKILL meaning there's far less competition like there would be in PVP-heavy games, and as such, those with a lot of experience often sympathize and spoil noobies they interact with
When I was playing warframe for the first time there was a random person that invited me for the sole reason to explain how the game worked and just chill with me. as someone who played destiny for 4 years solo making a friend in the first week of playing a new game that was shocking to me
"What is a normal Warframe interaction", he asks. Well, Aztecross. I just started playing Warframe about a month ago. Every interaction I've ever had with the community has been positive - ranging from people going out of their way to equip specific relics that I'm trying to farm simply because I asked in hopes that I get a drop I need to someone actually buying a piece of prime loot from me, *even though he didn't need it and just wanted to give me some extra platinum*. I've had people gift me random bonuses. If I ask a question about how to do something, I get an answer - what I don't get is a smart ass saying "have you tried googling it?"....nope. I get a straight up answer. I've not once argued with a single person in this game, nor have I ever felt unwelcome. It's an INSANE experience, coming from Destiny....and, honestly....I love it to bits and pieces
@@gamermanPS3 Even opening region chat isn't always bad, it's usually only in Strata Relay and Maroo's Bazaar that region chat even contemplates getting toxic. Not saying they're always toxic either, those are just the only region chats I've ever actually seen go toxic every once in a while. Trade chat on the other hand, is what you want to remove from your available chat windows.
I've been playing again for a month after not touching the game for 4 years, and twice now I have had a player just give me things that I simply mentioned in passing. I tried to get a squad together in recruit chat to farm a couple mods I didn't have and a guy messaged me and just gave them to me. And then another time I was just having a friendly chat with a random I was cracking relics with, told him I was ready for Harrow to be in prime resurgence since I didn't finish him before I took that long break. The guy asked me which pieces I needed and just gave them to me. It's mental how helpful and kind the community is.
Every time i thought that i am done with "finishing" the game, completing sets, they surprise you with a completely new content, with completely different play style, its insane there a game out there that felt like a new game everytime you take a break and return.
Seriously Cross the Warframe community is awesome. I hopped into the chat when i first started asking how to get a certain piece for a weapon i was working on, and i was immediately gifted not only a complete version of the weapon, but a bunch of other weapons and even a frame by veteran players that just want to help out. I personally bought all the new players who joined my clan a weapon or frame of their choice, simply because ive farmed up so much platinum that i could do that and not spend an actual dollar to do so. You really should give it a try
As an 11 year veteran i can attest to this. I don't really go into recruiting or region chat but if i happen into a mission with a newer player asking questions or if they're struggling to farm something i'm gonna help them out. I see people complaining about streamers getting showered with gifts and stuff but really all you gotta do is ask (not beg) and you'll get veterans just throwing stuff at you. We want everyone to have a good time and to enjoy the game, we understand things can be confusing or rng can be really frustrating at times
Warframe is a refreshing experience where you don't feel like you're constantly at war with the developers and instead you're just experiencing a game that they enjoyed creating for you.
I have spent maybe a couple thousand dollars on Warframe over the past eight years, getting the Prime Access when I can, and buying packs of platinum when I get coupons. I would not take back a single purchase, because I’m not missing the money, I love the content, and I love the developers for making it all happen.
yeah, warframe does not have raids (used to have but they removed it), and I guess it's pretty hard to make due to the insane power creep in warframe rn
Avid warframe player here, I will say warframe is a great true free to play game, everything is earnable just by playing, one con I can say is that the very beginning for a new player is ultimately not kind, you start from ground zero with nothing. Also The First Descendant tried to copy Warframe and flopped, Nexon's game is a failure as a free to play game in my eyes.
"...MIGHT give Warframe a go"??? Lol, you haven't played Warframe? You're missing OUT! Seriously though. People ARE talking about it. I've been screeching at Destiny to be more Framelike since day one. TRUST ME BRO, you're in for a huge treat. Great video here.🙏
As a die hard destiny vet, I can wholeheartedly say that warframe is worth the time, it’s always been my bit on the side but always blows me away every time I come back to it. I have caught myself numerous times thinking god I wish destiny just had the guts to do some of this stuff. I would strongly recommend destiny fans try it out, at least most the major questline stuff, as I think you would regret it if you don’t (watch the 1999 trailer and tell me that doesn’t get you hype)
You know, TDT said he wouldn't go over to warframe because of its common comparison with Destiny. I'm 1 guy with a quiet voice, but if you see this, give him a shout as a fellow creator, tell him that the only similarities are in theme and time investment so he can know how interesting and different it is.
Hey AztecCross! Long-time Warframe and Destiny player, and I'm just popping in to add my two cents. Warframe's Community's positivity is at the point where the majority will just hand you full Prime weapon and warframe sets, because they want you to enjoy the game as much as they do. There's a lot of Tenno who farm plat, just to be able to help newer players. I've got around 3k Hours logged in Steam, and have been playing since they entered Open Beta~
I’ve played warframe since day one 2 years ago I took a break last month decided to download it again forgot how much I love that game and how it helped me through hard times I even gotten a warframe tattoo way back in the day it’s still the only game I’ve logged 3,000 plus hours into
Cross, you aren't just a futuristic ninja in Warframe, you are a futuristic space pirate ninja that is about to join/recruit a boy band if the music videos to the game are anything to go by. 😁
If a game is nothing without its community then Digital Extremes is nothing without Rebecca Ford. I have been playing this game for a Decade now. I‘ve started when Rebecca had just convinced the studio to make a new job position as community manager, I saw her and the heads of department in the first devstreams in their cafeteria, I was online in a relay on the day TotalBiscuits death was made public as players were gathering to mourn him and Reb and Megan came online crying to tell us PrimeTime couldn’t happen because John had died. We, the community celebrated when she got her well deserved Spot in Forbes 30-under-30 in Gaming because we knew the fruits of all the work she and her team had put in over the years. And we were there when on TennoCon, Steve gave her his pink pair of pants to pass on the title of Creative Director to the only person it could have possibly been. Warframe succeeds because building and maintaining community is not a phrase, not a convoluted way to make more money to the developers. It is motivation and focus of the work they do and we as their long time players can only be proud of what they have built for us.
Ain't no way he's calling Warframe players "culty" when Destiny players have been getting bent over backwards with money hungry schemes from Bungie and will STILL somehow defend that game like it's their firstborn son
@@thatonepenguinperson618 a lot aren't tho. The warframe community is pretty culty tbh. They act like the game is perfect masterpiece that everyone will love and harass a lot of destiny and other looter shooter youtubers into playing it. I like warframe but it is definitely not perfect.
@@cerebralassassin2185 People think most of Warframe's audience is too positive about the game... But it's actually not like that inside the community... At all. The game gets shredded by its own fans daily. Look at how much backlash the Dante changes got. Look at how Railjack was first received. Look at how Jade's quest was received. Look up the first heirloom controversy. The difference here is that DE has built up the reputation of listening to their community and changing things as a response rather than a reaction. Because Warframe has responded to so much, it gives players hope that things will become better, which is why they don't mention the negatives to someone right away (because the package they experienced as a whole is good). This is why Warframe players seem culty; It's like going to a restaurant and getting fed well for what you paid for. Except most people aren't paying anything and are still getting access to the full buffet. Look, obviously there are going to be extremists online who believe the game can do no wrong, but you see the exact same thing on Destiny 2. ESPECIALLY in their subreddit. Heck, go look at The First Descendent fans always trying to defend their game. Basically, if you treat your players well, they will praise your game. It's no different from the BG3 and Outer Wilds Communities.
@cerebralassassin2185 that goes both ways though. I've been watching a ton of twitch streamers lately who are coming from destiny and playing warframe for their first time, and I can't go a single day without a destiny fan coming in and just talking mad shit, both about the game and the streamers, while praising destiny. The truth is there are bad apples in every community, but the few in warframes are nothing compared to the known and memed toxicity of destiny's.
@@cerebralassassin2185 They don't think it's perfect, trust me, spend more than 2 seconds in a chatroom and someone will complain. They're just excited to share it since it's the least predatory looter shooter out there, and it's very fun.

When I switched from Destiny to Warframe, aside from everything in this video, one thing I noticed that NOBODY mentions is the file size. Warframe has been around for a decade, removed nothing... All of the story is there, all of the weapons are there, all of the planets are there... And the game is 40Gb. Destiny was pushing up on 150 when I quit playing it 6 months ago, with everything removed.
true
I think this was largely also due to player statistics mentioned at one point. DE knew they had a lot of players playing the game on older hardware, which even despite the graphics update over time, they had a "minimal" mode for graphics that "toasters" could run. When a lot of laptops out there can't even support 150 GB, but are paying customers, then you'll put effort in to optimize your game.
Every few months they do a purge/optimization that cleans up file size. It's really nice it's not 200GB eating up space
Half true. Stuff like raids and clan raids were removed, but they're a drop in the bucket compared to the meat of warframe
it actually got smaller again with the koumei update.
Warframe was one of the most refreshing games I played in a long time, really great community and developer!
I'm glad you enjoyed it, Evan!
Glad to see so many of you guys giving it a fair shake.
It takes a while about 15 hours to get into the main story deep but it's worth sp takes a while but is so fun
The movement and mechanics and all that take some time to get down, but you can titan skate better than any titan ever could and it’s wild.
Speak the truth brother, speak the truth! 🗣️🗣️🗣️
Been playin 3 weeks now and I haven’t looked at D2 at all!

Warframe is this one game I always come back to and always have fun with.
Having literally everything that the game has to offer I'm really hyped for 1999.

Thats Tennogen, Tennocon is the convention/event where DE show their next mayor update
that is tennogen. Tennocon is their convention. like a ComiCon for all things Warframe...and Soulframe too these days

I love that I can stop playing warframe for a while and come back and have plenty to do and not worry about stuff getting removed

Holy shit what a game. Warframe is God tier.
Yeah the game even tells you that you played for more than 1h and that it's important to take breaks, you wouldn't see this in a lot of games
Yeah DE has been VERY proactive at reminding the players to spend their money AND their time on the game wisely.
the Crafting timer is one of those things that seems really awful at first. new players stumble on it hard like "what do you mean i just had to speed a week farming this warframe, now i have to wait 3 and a half days to build it?". but if you get over that initial sticker shock, you soon realize "wait. . . i can craft an infinite number of items in parallel?" who cares if a new sword takes 12 hours, i can craft 12 new swords at once. you go from "it takes so long to get anything" too "i have way too many things, i cant get my Foundry empty". and that sets you on the brand new problem, "why TF everything cost slots?!?" but that problem has its own solutions by the time you get there too.

And you can buy almost everything in Warframe's version of the eververse store for free without spending a cent.
Edit:
We all knew he really wanted one but simply couldn’t afford one so we secretly communicated to gather the funds and sent a ps5 to his house on his birthday.

It was the video that made me try it out. I became a founder and I'm still playing to this day.
Somewhere up there our man is still getting proxied by a tank 🥲
The industry REALLY suffered from losing him as a pro-player pro-consumer advocate.
That video is what made me try the game out and 11 years later i have not looked back. I really miss that dude
The only thing I legit felt bad for him is that he didn't manage to play Space Marine 2 bet he would've enjoyed it fully.
i still remember the video when rebecca heard about TB passing. you could see how much it affected her. and even though she was in the middle of a prime time stream, she just couldnt keep going and had to end it early. that heart is what set DE apart from other devs.
Same bro! Same 🥲 the person sent me a message saying to pass it along. I already love the game but the community is amazing.
Dont let him lie to you PVP is NOT supported in warframe.
Wait, pvp in Warframe 😂 I can't even find one match in 1000 hr
Thankfully

HG managed to move from being hated for subpar release to the: "NO SEAN PLEASE, NOT ANOTHER FREE NO MAN'S SKY UPDATE" meme :D

As someone who has over 3k hours in D2, Warframe is so new and refreshing to me. Highly recommended.
Destiny players: This new weapon or power is fun
Bungie: nerfed
Warframe players: This new weapon or power is fun
Digital Extremes: We made it a core mechanic.
@@marcosdhelenooverall good caveat post. More eloquently put than I would have.
Just look at the new exotic auto rifle. It’s not as good as pre nerf still hunt but it’s pretty good and instead of bungie embracing it they plan to nerf it

YOU CAN PLAY BOTH. DON'T DROP ONE TIME SUCK FOR ANOTHER.
Warframe, my beloved
It's got a tough learning curve, I'm a destiny vet myself (didn't start off quite day 1 d1 but still pretty close)
It'll be hard but you have to throw everything you know from destiny out the window.
First descendant is better
Warframe is a game I can put down for a year and come back to it always feeling fresh.

I had played a little here and there when i got a launch PS4, a little in between but ive taken a full dive into it since The Final Shape and its glorious.
prime frames and weapons are vaulted though? they come out in a rotation. unless they changed that too

The ONLY reason Destiny isn't completely dead as a concept at this point is that there are just players who refuse to switch from FPS to TPS. I was one of them for awhile but I finally changed my tune. Bungie better innovate soon before more players follow my line of thinking.

I posted this on a different video of yours, but it fits here;
The thing for me (originally referring to destiny) is, almost everything I've heard Bungie say they couldn't do for whatever reason has been done successfully in Warframe.
WF is just as old as the destiny franchise and still going strong 🤷♂️
Edit to add--even things like the recent issue with Bungie devs using fan art without permission; Digital Extremes actually partners with artists in the community when they come up with a cool looking skin and splits the profits with them to put their creation in game.
I think that's one big reason why I'm genuinely glad Warframe PVP is dead, cuz it drives away a lot of people with a toxic level of competitiveness; since it's 99.99% PVE and everything is attainable, it means anyone with a "better" build can and will eventually be caught up to or even surpassed with some effort
meaning once you're past a certain threshold of being a noob, the only difference is EXPERIENCE and not something like SKILL meaning there's far less competition like there would be in PVP-heavy games, and as such, those with a lot of experience often sympathize and spoil noobies they interact with
When I was playing warframe for the first time there was a random person that invited me for the sole reason to explain how the game worked and just chill with me. as someone who played destiny for 4 years solo making a friend in the first week of playing a new game that was shocking to me
"What is a normal Warframe interaction", he asks.

Been a long time fan of Cross. Been a longer fan of Warframe. Its time yall 2 come together.
Just remember to mute global chat and I don't engage with any of their partner streamers and you can probably survive.
I disagree with this. Coming back to the game after being gone feels like there many walls in place before you can do the new thing.
I have spent maybe a couple thousand dollars on Warframe over the past eight years, getting the Prime Access when I can, and buying packs of platinum when I get coupons.
I would not take back a single purchase, because I’m not missing the money, I love the content, and I love the developers for making it all happen.

I still think it's amazing how you can get 75% discount on a platinum purchase just for logging in.
You know, TDT said he wouldn't go over to warframe because of its common comparison with Destiny. Hey AztecCross! Long-time Warframe and Destiny player, and I'm just popping in to add my two cents.
Warframe's Community's positivity is at the point where the majority will just hand you full Prime weapon and warframe sets, because they want you to enjoy the game as much as they do.
You have to remember that these players who are asking him to try Warframe probably came from the Destiny community and realized how amazing it is.
