    Binge eating is a habit. After having binge eaten for a long period of time, eating everything on your plate becomes your automatic reaction to food, an "out of body experience". Which is what makes it so difficult, because you have to all of a sudden learn to confront food consciously to break a habit you've had for probably years. Acknowledging that you can always have the food later, might not work the first time, but might work the 856th time you try. And the same goes with other tips. Good luck to anyone going through it

    Just because there was a lot of talk last week about Kim K losing weight to fit in the Marilyn dress I just want to make clear that I dont think there is anything wrong with her losing weight for a certain event, for celebrities, entertainers and athletes your body is very important to the job. But there is a difference between being strict on your diet and cutting out solid food completely. Also a difference between losing weight for a day and not caring about what you eat and look like afterwards vs long term sustained weight loss. If you have long term weight loss goals (which I don't think Kim has) the tendency to binge after going on a ridiculously strict diet will ruin your routine and make it harder to reach your body goals, the way it did for me ….I would love to know your thoughts on cleanses/detoxes and if you’ve ever done one

    As a Model I've always though Im the only one with the Binge eating problem but sharing experiences with my Model friends and seeing videos like this make me realize this is a Common Issue on the model Industry, we use to restrict ourselves and see diet as an obligation that our body stars creating anxiety and cravings for high fat-sugar and carbs food~ Thank you so much for sharing your experience 🥰💭💕

    I am gonna not binge no more. Cause there is no need to binge and I’m gonna follow my eating lifestyle and trust that I’m gonna lose weight and more spiritual fast with no food but remind myself that I don’t need to fast to lose weight. And this is why I’m glad you did this video cause I needed a sign to tell me I can overcome binging. I’m definitely not gonna binge no more. I feel scared cause so many times failed but I need to tell myself this time I won’t fail

    Well i did water fast for 36 hours twice this week and i lost the weight, i kept it off and i no longer have night cravings. Best experience ever to be in control and i felt energetic, can't wait to do it again.
    But what i can say is that being prepared and being in the right mindset is what matters the most
    Though i was also worried about muscle loss , i didn't lose that much tbf
    And what you eat before and after the fast is as important as the fast itself

    • @ejc139
      @ejc139 Год назад +1

      make sure you talk to your doctor about this. water fasts aren’t safe for most people, especially for those who struggle with disordered eating, which this video is kind of targeted to... be careful doing these kinds of things, they can be very dangerous.

    • @venithy5749
      @venithy5749 Год назад

      @@ejc139 well I understand the concerns but I've never felt greater than doing this. I finally felt disciplined and like food wasn't controlling me, thanks to strong cravings and what not.
      But I'm definitely not the one who would continue with a fast if I suddenly felt very weak, hungry, dizzy or whatever.
      I also didn't have any binges or anything of that sort after, if anything it made me feel more curious about eating the right portions and the right foods after a fast, like plenty of prebiotics and probiotics. And the mist important, I don't fast at all the week before my period and make sure I get plenty of healthy carbs, fruits veggies etc.
      Not everyone has disordered eating though. But obviously is the best to talk to your doctor or in some cases your psychologist.
      Water fasts are completely safe (*if done correctly!!) with plenty of studies, has been practiced from way back, and with a ton of people who had diseases and healed them by doing this.
      But then again, if someone experiences the feeling of restriction and treats this like another fad diet, only to binge after finishing, then yes, it's not the right thing to do for such person, at least not at that point in their life
      Hope this makes sense

    • @ejc139
      @ejc139 Год назад

      @@venithy5749 actually, even if done right it still isn’t safe for some people, and this sort of lifestyle is miserable for many people and harmful to their bodies. fasting of any sort can easily lead to disordered eating. and anyone trying to lose weight has disordered eating of some sort, unless meds caused the weight gain, but that is less common. it’s surprising to hear someone actually feel good doing such a thing… you shouldn’t promote this kind of weight loss idea on a video talking about losing weight after binge eating though. going to this way of weight loss after recovery is a terrible idea, if anything it gives more of a risk for a binge from not eating for almost two days. this way shouldn’t be recommended to the targeted audience of this video

    • @venithy5749
      @venithy5749 Год назад +2

      @@ejc139 Sorry , I almost got argumentative but I'm used to having a father that always has to debate me on health topics 🥴 ✌️
      I apologize if the post was not the most fitting for the audience. The video was about stopping overeating and fasting is what worked for me and stopped my night cravings, so I thought the comment fits. But I understand it's not the right thing for everyone
      Even if so, didn't want people to be afraid of it. Who knows they might try it themselves after they healed their relationship with food, in the future. Many people do it for all the other benefits without caring about the weight loss aspect of it even
      Personally I'm a foodie and weirdly enough fasting is the only thing that made me have no cravings and not be hungry, opposite of my expectation. It's probably just a thing of stability in glucose level, noting more magical
      I felt so great that I can't wait for my pms week to pass so I can fast again. I'm actually upset I have to take a break from it. And I have no reason to lie on any of this - but to be fair I have done various forms of intermittent fasting for 1-2 years at this point and I looked a lot into all the things I have to do before, during and after a fast..so I'm not surprised I felt fine. These days when I fasted I had to go shopping and do other chores and I ended up walking more than 12k steps and feeling great

    One time I visited London and went to Harrods when I bought a little box of dried strawberries in white chocolate. It was very expensive for something like this so I saved it and allowed myself to eat one of them during one day. It lasted me for more than a month and it taught me so much self control

      Awww that’s so lovely 🍓💖I actually do something similar. I completely stopped buying sweets from local shops because I would eat so much at once. Instead if I want chocolate I buy expensive truffles and eat them slowly 😋

    Your advice is always so good! My issues with extreme binging were caused by undiagnosed ADHD and medication really helped when I was finally diagnosed in my 20s, but because binge eating had been such a habit for so long I still had to put in work to fix my eating habits. I’m still working on it, actually, so your channel is super helpful because you acknowledge aesthetic body goals as well as good nutrition and balance, instead of just “listen to your body”.
    One small point, starvation mode doesn’t actually happen until you’re severely underweight and have burned through all your body fat, at which point you start cannibalizing your own organs (which is why anorexia has such high mortality-this is when heart issues happen). Severe restriction is definitely not a good idea, of course, but it doesn’t mean your body will store fat-the fat is there for times of severe restriction! The other potential effects, like gallstones and malnutrition, are why it’s unhealthy.

    these tips are goals, I eat so so much and something I lose weight sometimes I gain when I binge. But the thing I’ve learned is that if I eat small portions of meals it keeps me full and I feel less guilty about eating more. So say my meal was sweet potatoes, eggs, and some cucumber, I will split them up so I eat them at different times when I’m hungry. And I would eat 4-6 “meals” and it really helped me stay on track. (And in no way is that healthy but it’s really saved me)
