I really like the way you explain and demonstrate the procedure. My 2011 Ford Fusion only has the reservoir cap, but I ordered the funnel kit. I will let you know how it goes. New subscriber 😊
Thanks Paul that's a great video. All these years I didn't understand that are on the top of the cooling system can give a false reading on the coolant heat sensor. Also I think maybe my heater core has air bubbles in my Odyssey van all the rear heater core works fine the front one is only mildly warm even after I did a back flush on the core
I have a 2003 Honda Civic LX with no bleeder valve and used the funnel with coolant method to burp the system and it still didn't work. What I found out later is that you leave that funnel with coolant attached after shutting off the engine. Do not plug it. Let the coolant and engine cool overnight. As the coolant in the radiator and engine gets cold it contracts creating a vacuum sucking more coolant from the funnel. If you remove the fumnel too early, you risk sucking in air instead.
Ok that was helpful and so far i have heat coming out the rear heater in the sienna but not consistent heat from the dashboard so some residual air must be in there. The only caveat here is the 50.00 Canadian that I need to buy the funnel for probably one use?

Dude, totally wrong coolant for a Toyota. Depending on year, either red or pink. Long life or super long life was used from factory and provides best engine production.
I have been using this regularly now on every vehicle. It is a must. Thank you 👍
Awesome video! Just used this process on my 2014 Challenger 5.7L and it worked perfect! Thanks for posting
Well done brother from a different mother.
Hey Paul... good video. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and giving new tips on how to work on our cars. God bless you.

Another great video Paul. Thanks for the step by step logical insight.✝️🇺🇲🙏👍🏻
Your a scholar and a gentleman 👍 thankyou so much
This is the only video that makes sense. Thanks.

@@senatedocument2646 I don’t know how that’s possible with modern systems that have a reservoir tank.
Just watch your video, and it looks like it works thanks
This is a good tool, however, another tool that I've found to work better is the coolant vacuum bleeder kit.
What is a Coolant vacuum bleeder kit

Excellent and very clear video much appreciated👍🏻👍🏻

i was watching your video & was impressed. now so the security module does not go back in? the wiring harness to the module just wrapped up? rmc
About to do this on my Toyota, thanks
I see these videos everywhere using this funnel but I wonder if this really gets ALL the air out!!!
@@seatime674 The longer the engine runs the more air it removes. In my opinion, it’s still the best method.
@proclaimliberty2000 Agreed, just don't know if the vacuum might tug a little more out..
Awesome tutorial

Paul if you have an exspansion tank and a radiator cap which one would you fill the system from?
Always fill it from the expansion tank and fill it to the full mark when the fluid is cold.
I have a 2019 nissan frontier truck SL 4WD cylinder can i you the same way you show me?
Wouldn't this introduce air when you let go....Why squeeze the radiator hose before plugging the funnel. Just wondering new to this 🙂
to avoid spilling when putting the cap later
Yhe dealer advice states get to op temp rev car 2500 rpm for 5 monut4s then 3000 rom for 5 seconds
Same i did this speed heating process
@@hubsun700 worked 4 u mate ?
I have one of these for cars that you add coolant directly into the radiator.
I have a gator and is close to impossible to burp .
My Dodge has the filler on the hose, and it doesn't sit level. This funnel probably wouldn't work.
Yes it will work
That's no guarantee
When I let the funnel couple min, they sucked in all coolant. Is that ok?
