I think the 70-300mm lens is one of my creative lenses: picking out details of the scene. And sometimes I take a fisheye lens for that different perspective. And besides that, I love macro lenses for close-focusing on the small world. It's amazing what you can find if you get closer, and you can get really creative with that too, not just "documentary".
@@SamBugas One of the best macros for Fuji is the Laowa 65mm f/2.8. For Nikon Full frame there's a couple of options, starting either at f/5.6 or f/2.8. Of course there are mount-native macro lenses that have AF but they're always more expensive and have less magnification, so for a first macro lens, I'd recommend Laowa lenses!
Looks like a great lens! Might just do the trick for some upcoming bikepacking trips. Sounds like it would be ideal as a 'character' option alongside a standard zoom of some sort! cheers for sharing the review
Yeah man! It’s a freaking killer lens. Would be a great option to pair with a wide zoom or a standard zoom. I used it exclusively for this trip (had another lens and didn’t use it) and it was amazing even on its own.
Yeah I love them too! I never liked wide angle for years, now I use it constantly and don’t use long lenses as much. Go back and forth but generally see them as equally important.
Thanks for watching! What gear makes you feel creative??? Let's share and debate
Great video! Sweet photos and I really liked the compositions of your videography. The sequence starting at 4:37 is NICE
Thanks man! Just having fun with new ideas. Needed a bit more footage to fill this one out, but finished happy with it
Such beautiful use of flaring in that one shot of the hut, was well done. This is how to use a flaw to add character!
Thank you! Flaring is really tricky, especially with more budget lenses haha. So glad you liked it 🤙🏻

Oh man a macro seems like so much fun. I’d love to give one a try. Whatever gets you to change your focus is excellent. Cheers!

Dude! No way! I just got this lens yesterday!
Love your work as always 🫡
That’s awesome! It’s a really incredible lens. Not just for budget, but all around. I absolutely love it 🤙🏻 have fun and thanks for the support!
I shoot at 80 mm a lot which is close enough. It's a great focal length for landscape. Thanks for your video. Very inspiring.
Awesome! So glad you understand and enjoyed.

I love longer/ long-ish focal lengths for Landscape. I never understood why Landscape must always equal wide-angle lenses

Great video
Cheers!
Such a beautiful place and nice photos, love Nikon Zf design but it's just too heavy😂😂
I'd love to shoot with the Zf! I am absolutely in love with Z8, it's the perfect cam for me, but the Zf would be the ideal B-Cam for what I do
