Hi buddy just a quick question.
Iv noticed recently lots of ads promoting a free boiler grant for people who own their own home and are currently on some form of benefits .
I fit the criteria as am now recently on universal credit due to ill health .
It's a minefield out there with so many companies to apply to and of course I'm worried about scams .
Can you tell me if you know of a legit company to contact for this .my boiler is 35 years old and they claim they can install an A rated combi boiler free of charge plus any insulation needed free of charge .

James, I would have painted the back of the wood with two coats & three coats on the front for longevity - a great channel BTW - just going to put my Waitrose curry in the oven now!!! 😬😜

Absolutely love your channel, fantastic source of information. The best method I have ever seen achieving a drop on guttering, especially if you have outward projections for example bay windows, is when working with my wise old dad once, we used a water level. Faultless and simplicity.

Now, why did you not just use black plastic fascia?Too expensive?
Why did you not put the fascia over the old fascia?It would come out too much?
My main question is: I have an old 1910 house, rotten fascia, i intend to put plastic fascia over the rotten one, should I or shouldn't i?

@@digitraxuk understood, but rot cant travel through a plastic Fascia. Ripping existing fascia could rip plaster off the wall etc...might lead to more problems

Cut out the old fascia with power tools. I would also spray any exposed timbers - because woodworm love damp timbers - before using uPVC fascias. Expensive, but worth it for the lack of future maintenance.

Any clues, when I turn on my cold water tap or flush the toilet,the fan/pump comes on for about 15 seconds,it does not ignite the boiler? Keeping me awake at night.had the boiler 12 years and been great.

You shouldn't discharge one roof's rain onto another. Naughty boy. The bottom roof will be minging in a year. Fire the downpipes to a hopper and into a single downpipe.
